Makes me wish they never got rid of these small scenes to begin with. Really missed them in Spyro 3

Aside from the fact it was such a colorful and fun game to play, as a kid a big part of what sold me on the original ps1 game was the humor of these cutscenes lol.
Maybe I had a dark/weird sense of humor because those comical “deaths” and overall humor got me split on my sides and made enjoy the game even more. Glad the improved graphics and animations here ramped it up.
I like that they decided to keep all the deaths intact. Even some of the more horrific ones like getting crushed or falling into a vat of magma.

It's so interesting they kept the characters in the homeworlds getting accidentally killed off brutally no other videogame series does that often.

4:38 They change that scene. In the PS1 version, that bird make the grub ate the bomb, He inflated like a balloon before going back to normal and burped
The new once seemed more violent and implied he dead.
But in the original just a stratch

Dracosermonomicon agreed there, I enjoyed how they worked skylanders, so seeing how these turn out, I say amazing work
I respectfully disagree. Yes, the animated quality and graphics have been improved, but that's a given for a remaster.
However, in terms of comedic timing is where I disagree. Some of them are shorter, some are longer, and that affects the comedic timing.
Everyone has a slightly different sense of humor though.

It would've been cool if Spyro Reignited Trilogy Spyro 3 had cutscenes similar to these in Forgotten Dragon Realms Homeworlds too
Fun fact: At 10:53 you can see floating letters next to the Red Farmer like the "Return Home" pads from the first game. The odd part is how it says "Artisans World" here, considering at no point does a pad ever say that. Still, why does this pad exist in 2 where it's not even used is a mystery

No I mean every match, except some different scene points as far as aware of original Spyro 2 of PS1 concerns, but no matter for now.

Well that went down a dark path...
These all look pretty good, but I hate how they ruined the joke in Shady Oasis. In the original there was a normal hippo next to the giant one, who rolled the fruit towards the small guy to try and blame him for eating the fruit. In the new one, he just pushes them away towards nothing.
Yeah me too it was sutch a good joke. It always made me laugh as a kid playing this game
Some of the cut scenes are good but others like the one you mentioned and the baby turtles have not. I miss it when the baby turtle chased after them with their own zapper.
Kinda surprised they kept the Metropolis ending scene
These redesigns fall in uncanny valley and it makes me scared.
You consider this uncanny? RDR2 is more uncanny than this. It's got a LOT of details. The temperature you see when you press a certain button is how hot or cold your character feels. This can be seen by checking before lighting yourself on fire and while you're on fire. Why while you're on fire? Because, well, you'll die. Once you get lit on fire, your chances of surviving are NOT that high. There are so many details in that game, I'm willing to bet that we still haven't found them all.
Glimmer has an intro but you have to go back after you finish it in order to see it.
The quality of this just makes me cry

As a kid, I didn't like the ones when the characters outright murdered each other and I'm surprised that they've kept them in! 😮
I think it would've been cool if Spyro Reignited Trilogy Spyro 3 should've had opening and outro cutscenes similar to these in the locations Spyro goes to and leaves.

...I didn't miss these intros and outros one bit when I moved on to Spyro 3.

In my opinion the only very wierd and awful redesign is Hunter
they messed up the comedic timing so bad on almost all of these
The sci-fi elements in the reignited trilogy strike me as a bit odd, but not in a bad way. They are basically Insomniac's attempts at science fiction before Ratchet and Clank, which would go on to feature more refined ships, robots, lasers, etc. The graphics are updated here, but the same crude shapes from the late 1990s-2000s are basically still there.
I miss the Colosus original chanting …. Uhhhh
