Love you guys. I have a fiancee in Guayaquil, and your insite into the country is very helpful, because I too, am from North America. I have been waiting for a fiance visa in USA that I sponsored her for, and plan to return to Ecuador in seven years, or sooner. I fell in love with the country, culture, people, nature, food, etc. The people I talk to here, think I am crazy. I am happy I found people like you that have the same love for Ecuador

Great video, great stories, guys! The more I watch your videos the more I'm considering the area. But I wonder as a single woman (christian, free of shots, open minded) How it would be (I don't own a car and don't wish to, maybe a scooter but I think the roads are not scooter-friendly?) Also another criteria that I have... is there a lot of mosquitoes, like do you need to use repellent on a daily basis?
Thanks for watching! Vehicles offer some convenience but are not necessary living in or close to Vilcabamba. The roads in town are definitely scooter-friendly and there are quite a few scooters in the area. Brandon has lived here for over 2 years without a vehicle as the taxi, bus and van options are plentiful and flexible. Bugs in general are not oppressive here in the valley. Mosquitos are not prevalent and we don’t typically need to use bug spray. We sometimes get cycles of no-see-ums but they’re generally not oppressive either. Hope that helps! Send us an email to info@abecuador.com with any other specific questions you have and we’d be happy to share what we know and help where we can! Sounds like we’d love to have someone like you in our community!
Muy amable, gracias !! I lived 2 years in amazonia and a splitted-year in sierra and on the coast ... interested in moving to a safer place where I won't be confined to my appartment after 6pm everyday. Another attractive point about Vilcabamba is that the community seem to be younger than on the coast, where expats are mostly retreated people. I'm in mid-forties and not there yet. Thanks for your good advices and words, again. Will send you an email when plans gets more clear about a potential move. :) @@AbundantLivingEcuador
I love that you found Christ.. hopefully some day I go to live in Vilcabamba with my family, were believers and would love to have a place were to worship.
My husband descocerse your channel some months ago and I love it! He is from USA and I am from Ecuador. We are thinking about moving to Ecuador and now with the security problems the country is having we do not know what province would be a good safe one
Wow - thanks for the kind words! It really depends on what kind of lifestyle and climate you’re looking for. Where in Ecuador are you from? How long have you been gone? Thanks for watching! ❤️ 🙏
…and I think I would love some Ambrosia Wine or a beer that has a nice light fruity flavor! April 23rd about 9:30am when arriving in Vilcamba at The Podkowa residence it would be fitting for a grand arrival! Thanks in advance! 😂❤😊 Love Grammy!
Hey guys great vid! Looking into a move there, it sounds like everything our family needs. Question-my kids are big time into motorcycles and ATV riding, is this an issue with any of those items? Also, tell me about the wildlife, specifically snakes, spiders, and anything else I may need to be aware of. Thanks, keep up the informational content.
Thanks for watching! Motorcycles and off road motorbikes are very common and available here. There is even a small motocross track in town! ATVs are a bit less common in this area, but still exist and are readily available. You will see some folks driving ATVs to and from town as well. As far as bugs? They’re generally not an issue. Mosquitos aren’t oppressive, but you occasionally see cycles of no-see-ums. Spiders exist but aren’t typically a problem either. There is a golden orb spider season but they are generally harmless. There aren’t really any many “predator” animals in the valley. There are occasionally poisonous snakes but they’re generally not a problem, just something to be mindful of. Brandon has been here for over 2 years and has still yet to even see a snake! Hope that helps a bit! Send us any other questions you have to info@abecuador.com and we’d be happy to help you and your family make the visit as smooth as possible. Great handle, by the way! Talk with you more soon!
Hey guys! Your comments about the power outages in Cuenca reminded my of some articles I read about Ecuador being a power surplus country in the region that actually sends electricity to Columbia and Peru. So, I was wondering if you could speak to the situation there... I also read they want to replace ICE cars with electric cars eventually and will mandate that taxis start to convert over. I'm very interested in this stuff, as I drive electric. So, I was very surprised about blackouts in Cuenca! Does Ecuador plan to use more solar since rain could get unpredicable due to Global Warming? Does Ecuador plan for possible GW problems? Would be interested in anything you'd like to add.. Thanks
Have any of you read the Wall Street Journal article “ Ecuador Was A Retirement Paradise for Americans, Then the Drug Gangs Arrived” yet? if not, please do. I would like to know a locals perspective on this. Is the problem confined to the coastal region or is it potentially a problem throughout the country?
Hello friends of all the things you mention, I have seen little in your videos of something about why Vilcabamba is famous, Hello friends of all the things you mention, I have seen little in your videos of something about why Vilcabamba is famous, for the number of people who reach 100 years in perfect health , in other countries , in other countries there are long-lived people but with health problems It remains alive but sick, however in Vilcabamba it is common to have very old people but working or doing work without mobility problems.
Thanks for the feedback! While we feel it’s important that you learn Spanish to be able to deeply and more meaningfully become part of the community, Vilcabamba specifically is relatively easy to acclimate to as it has a solid expat community along with many local Ecuadorians who speak some English. Send any other questions to info@abecuador.com and we’d be happy to help. 😉

OK so I just subscribed. Love that you guys mentioned Project Veritas🙌🏼 Live in DC and this country is collapsing fast! Got up at 5:30 this morning to get working on things putting in 16 hour days to get prepared for make it down. Definitely worth stopping to listen to you guys and remind myself what I’m working towards. Hey Ron.👋 and I think the wine did help you go little deeper lol. In all honesty and getting to know you guys for those nine days you guys are definitely sticking to what you had shared great job and being a real estate investor in the United States. It has been fun to dig into prices down there and then re-searching I see the value in what the property has the offer, and obviously I’m serious about my research because I have purchased a property there and definitely would not have been able to do that without the help of abundant living and the retreat. It was like a crash course to learn everything in one week that would’ve took six months on the ground during research. A eight week countdown. See you soon.
Thanks so much Nathan! We’re excited to welcome you and your family to Vilcabamba. And we greatly appreciate your support and contributions/perspective sharing here on RUclips. See y’all soon! ❤️
Will do! We have a schedule of Expat Life interviews in the works - stay tuned! Any preference on type of Expat you’re most interested in seeing? Retired couple? Retired singles? Middle aged family? Young singles? Etc. Thanks for sharing!
QUESTION Is the biological dentist that Brandon was going to check out in Loja the same one that Ryan did the 2022 video on? Also Agree with Jesse. We both do and do not exist. It’s all an illusion.
To say that you have virtually no impact on the local market when you have one of, if not the loudest voice in the region, is not being honest with yourself or others. People that choose media to support their interest will always effect the market. Just be honest. The loudest voice will set the trend, almost always. I'm not judging you at this point. Let's just keep it real.
Hi Daniel - thanks for the comment. Are you new to the area? We definitely pride ourselves on being visible and showcasing what we love about this amazing region of the country! From the world wide web it’s hard to understand the market and local demand mechanisms. Expat demand is truly a small fraction of the demand volume in our region. Thanks for sharing your opinion and for watching!

Great to hear! See you soon! 😉 🙏
I love that you found Christ.. hopefully some day I go to live in Vilcabamba with my family, were believers and would love to have a place were to worship.
Thanks for watching and sharing! Perhaps our paths cross in the future.
YES, LET’S GET TIFFANY ON THE PODCAST TOO
👀 😊 👍🏻
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching! ❤️
Man, this is motivating me to try to organize a volunteer fire brigade up in my area
Go for it! 🔥 ⛑️
I will say thank you so much. You just remind me I have to go back to home (Ecuador)
Thank you for watching Edgar! Come visit us when you return! ❤️ 🙏
LOL, I speak French too. Tres bien, j'aime tres beaucoup cette 'video'.
Merci d'avoir regardé!

Good one fellas
Thanks for the feedback!

👍
Expect power outages, Carl is correct.
⚡️ 🛑 😳 …. 🙏
Brandon and Family story :)
Thanks
We’ll put these questions on our list to provide our perspective on in future pods. Thanks for watching James!
Hello from Montréal
Hello there! Thanks for watching! 🇨🇦 ❤️ 🇪🇨
We’ll check it out - thanks for the heads up!
Hi Brandon.. I live in the US, what company did you work at, just to be curious... I am from Ecuador, planning to moved back to My land...
Thanks for watching Jose! Rhymes with Venerable Spills 😉 ❤️ 🇪🇨
If you have a magnifying glass, a piece of paper and a sunny day, you can burn the paper. Same effect with a piece of glass on dry vegetation!!!!
Thanks for sharing! That has been on our list to share… 😉
Hi, Enjoying your pods. How easy is it to settle in there as a non speaking Spanish person?
Thanks for the feedback! While we feel it’s important that you learn Spanish to be able to deeply and more meaningfully become part of the community, Vilcabamba specifically is relatively easy to acclimate to as it has a solid expat community along with many local Ecuadorians who speak some English. Send any other questions to info@abecuador.com and we’d be happy to help. 😉
Hi Guys, Would you please talk about drinking water. Is it safe to drink from taps there? Do Gingos get sick from the water? Thank you.
Will do! It’s on our list of questions to answer in a future podcast. 😉
Nice French speaking buddy, are you from Quebec? That’s where I grew up
Yes, I'm from the province of Quebec, closer to Montreal. Where did you grow up?
Hey I'm from northern Quebec l'Abitibi
Awesome! Still there now? Or have you migrated?
@@AbundantLivingEcuador no left in 84, in Ontario since but we're now planning to move to Ecuador. Funny moved in Ontario to learn English, now have to learn Spanish lol

OK so I just subscribed. Love that you guys mentioned Project Veritas🙌🏼 Live in DC and this country is collapsing fast! We bought some property in Aguadilla Puerto Rico where we love to dive and spear. Exploring just selling everything and leaving. Depending on what happens in Nov we might jump ship! Sick of the crime, the horrible wokeism, and all the ppl that have just lost their minds! Love your channel!
Thanks for the feedback LH! It’s definitely wild times to be alive, isn’t it? If you decide to explore our area, drop us a note to info@abecuador.com and we’d be happy to help out where we can. Thanks for subscribing! ❤️ 🙏
ALE folks were and are great, humble and honest folks. Their families were equally as awesome!
Thanks so much Nathan! We’re excited to welcome you and your family to Vilcabamba. And we greatly appreciate your support and contributions/perspective sharing here on RUclips. See y’all soon! ❤️
Thank you for the kind words! Your support means a lot to us! ❤️
Brandon. Also a random Expat.
Not exactly sure what you mean? 😬 Thanks for watching though! ❤️ 🙏
Also, interview an Expat other than one of you or your family. Someone else you know who is an expat.@@AbundantLivingEcuador
Will do! We have a schedule of Expat Life interviews in the works - stay tuned!
Any preference on type of Expat you’re most interested in seeing? Retired couple? Retired singles? Middle aged family? Young singles? Etc.

Bonjour do you speak french too?
Oui, certainement! Je suis francophone, de Montréal aussi.

oops not my wife Phyllis, don't know how to change to me
😆 It’s all good!
QUESTION Is the biological dentist that Brandon was going to check out in Loja the same one that Ryan did the 2022 video on? Also Agree with Jesse. We both do and do not exist. It’s all an illusion.
To be or not to be… 😉
Don’t think it’s the same dentist 🦷. Thanks for watching!
Did Carl's coming to Christ cause him to go from the 90lb weakling to Sampson? I enjoy seeing your Christian heart show through like giving candy to the children at Christmas time.
😂 Thanks for watching!
