Creative sketchbook ideas are my favorite way to break free and get inspired again! More sketchbook idea videos are coming soon, and they'll be included in this playlist, so you can find all of my ideas in one place: ruclips.net/p/PLDxrkpqkJt3omKwpVfirhO8uzim7mYP9R&si=PDzFJCRt3CVaENNQ
Hi, I just recently found your channel. I am a disabled wannabe artist and I love your calm demeanor and especially your videos on painting and drawing your feelings because I love to draw anything in. I suffer with a lot of mental and physical health issues. Thank you very much for for being on RUclips RUclips❤
What great ideas! I have been stuck wanting to do art but am soooo tired of my usual go-tos. And I love the idea of using post it notes! How cool. 😃💪 🎨 🖌️
Great video. I'm not a painter, but I do enjoy the creative process. There are a bunch of tips here that are transferable to other workflows. You've inspired me to think outside the box on some of the less artful things I'm working on at the moment. Thanks for the inspiration.
I want to try something similar to your splatter and bubbles, but with fluid paints. Those require a lot of wet base paint down though, before you add the colours, so I'm not sure I can confine it to the small space I want, that will be tricky. But it's basically the same concept as what you've done. I want to create a dress that's entirely up to the paint doing its thing.
I think I know what you mean. You could always try putting some tape down. However, the color might bleed underneath the surface and through the material, but you can always paint over it if you don’t like how it looks. Sometimes a little bleed looks nice. Whenever I’m shaping the technique to look like an object I still have to go in with a paintbrush to define some areas, but shhhh it’s my secret. 🤫 😂
@@kristinaoneill2064 I have some great ideas that I’ll share in a video coming up soon! One thing that I personally like to do when I’m upset is write a poem about how I feel. Then I find a way to illustrate it but as I paint or draw it I let myself feel upset/hurt. A lot of my emotions come through as colors and line work. It’s like the emotions take over and as I start to feel better I tweak and adjust the drawing or painting to make more sense. It can help to pick a subject matter that you connect with for this exercise. I hope you feel better soon. 💜💜💜
