Let's take a moment to thank the poor bastard at KC that's pumping these blade show videos out as fast as I'm watching them. Much appreciated
He has been appropriately thanked -DCA
Glad to see some elmax steel knives. It's a good steel.
David: You are the most professional knife reviewer out there. Thank you for what you do, and your humility:)
Viper is killing. Amazing releases 2022, and brilliant ideas. Indeed you're definitely a super professional, in my opinion by far the best in the business. Congratulation!, is a true pleasure to follow your videos.
Love those tulip fixed blades, a lot, normaly I would go for the Sheepsfoot but somthing about that big belly im digging big time
Viper is underrated. They understand ideal blade function for the style of tool in question, for the most part. Wish they would change the engraving style though.
Viper has the best jimping in the game though. Bar none.
Also the best Carbon Fiber
@@etherealicer What knife(s) makes you say that?
My Viper Berus in marbled carbon fiber has voids around the pins. It's the only example I have so far, but I have a lot of carbon fiber tools.
Really nice line up from Viper. Loved the Turn … new slip joint is nice too … really wish they would take the billboard off the blade and do a small Viper logo instead … sometimes less is more.
Hey DCA, I notice the Lille with the original blade shape looks like a miniature Ulu blade that has a handle attached to one end of the blade instead of at the back of the blade. As an Inupiat, I always notice Ulu shaped blades. I have an LT Wright Jessmuk-C in AEB-L steel that is very similar in shape. I want a full size Jessmuk from him in 3Vwhen they're back in stock, but the Lille looks similar, in just a smaller version. I loved hearing Joe Flowers say he'd like to go up and meet Inuit people to help him. I've taught in Alaskan Native villages for most of my teaching career, so I can undoubtedly say he'd learn a LOT from the Natives up there.
The autimatic safe lock system looks like an awesome idea. The pin that interacts with the lock face of the blade tang theoretically should keep the lock-up engagement stable indefinitely. The lock face would wear away before the liners engagement shifts
sounds like a recipe for the spring breaking and the pin becoming stuck...seems like solving a problem that doesn't exist

Viper has some great designs. I’ve never owned one but have heard bad things on their qc and heat treats. So I’m scared to drop the cash on them !
I only own the Berus sheepsfoot from them. I got it in carbon fiber handle scales. Here is my take on it:
The angled portions (eased edges) of the carbon fiber felt rough and borderline splintery. I rubbed cardboard over them until they smoothed out. The sheath seems to hold the blade well, but always feels like it’s barely holding it in. The sheath has rubbed horizontal lines across the blade. The ergos are okay-completely outclassed by the Lionsteel H1 I have though. The edge seems to dull quicker than some other M390 I’ve used. HOWEVER: it is the single best carrying fixed blade I have. It clips right in my fifth pocket, and naturally cants off to the side-I never even feel it. It draws quicker, and is MUCH easier to resheath thank my other fixed blades. It’s the only fixed blade that is noticeably easier and quicker to draw, use, and return than some of my folders. When I bought it, I loved it and wanted to to justify the purchase. When I began noticing my gripes above, I wanted to hate it… but I can’t. For what it is (a working fixed blade knife) it really is the best one I have, and not even by a little bit. I don’t know exactly how they did it. I wish every single aspect of the knife was better, but together it’s somehow the best.
I don’t know if this helps. I’m happy to own the knife, but wouldn’t have bought it if I read what I just wrote-and I would really be missing out. This is a fixed blade though… lots of little gripes would completely ruin a folder to me. I have a small pile of spydercos to prove it lol.
Well, I own the Hug and the Key, perhaps another one which I forgot now, but what I can say is... Man, these knives are great. No issues regarding QC, no worries, Viper is one of the best Italian knife makers. If you heard rumors, go out and try to get our own opinion on these pieces of beautiful iron. As a collector who also uses his knives I could tell you about problems, but I recognised not a single one until today. However, I'll get me that new slip joint knife and another Key. I'd like to recommend LionSteel knives as well. What you wrote, I've just read the same about Bark River Knives, what a waste of time. Don't believe what someone writes here 😂
@@mcbarfly030 I get what your saying but I never said the rumors were true. I was just sharing a concern. I have 5 kids so rent food clothing and all that good stuff comes first. I have to save for multiple months to buy a more premium knife. I can’t just go out and try everything. I have to listen to others and make the best educated guess I can. If it’s such a waste of time why bother replying 😂
really liking that tiny fixed blade
Hopefully they will fix the lock rock issue with the orso
😯That Turn slipjoint😍
ASLS? Why no one thought about that before? Great idea.
Is that Seth V. In the background on his phone? Or is that just a doppelganger?
He was hanging around for this one lol -DCA
Just the best knife company!!👍
Doing a great job DCA!!! Wish I was there.
That Twin.. good looking knife.
What do you think of the new KEEPER2 knife safety lock system? Has anyone tried it? we would love some feedback
I hate Viper because:
They’re expensive.
They’re high quality.
They’re exceptionally stylish and good looking.
They always feel good in my hand.
I want them.

Cool,david
I like them however my hands are to big
Great video Davidsea,, thanks,,,
Aren't there any badass Rambo-type bowie knives in that place?
Yeah, anything Hinderer is an automatic no-go for me. The knife industry shouldn't support a designer who would sue someone for a negative knife review...we should be able to trust reviews and opinions of products as being genuine, and not have to worry if we're just getting fluff because the reviewer is scared they will get sued otherwise.
I agree - that is Bad Form. Who did Rick Hinderer sue?
@@gregchristopher1961 Transparent Knives...its like a 19 yo kid who does custom blade regrinds for factory knives.
If I understand you correctly. You’re saying that Viper and Zero Tolerance should no longer manufacture or sale any Hinderer designed knives. And that Knife Center or any other knife retailer should not sale Hinderer knives. Also, the companies who produce blade steel should no longer sale steel to Hinderer.
@@CVNOU What you're saying is that you don't understand me correctly?
@@arrowheadguys7637 Help me understand.
