@@rickwilliams967 thats the point... everyone knows what it takes to be great... but there are a few who act upon this knowlege and MANY MANY who dont... thats why its impressive.
Absolutely the best sixteen minutes and fifty-three seconds I've spent all week. What a beautiful video. Going to shop the store in a bit due to my being hypnotized. And thank you for using the correct soundtrack: no music.
Do it. I started with only 40 bucks in tools. A rail road track ( or any large bit of steel to forge on. Or even a tree stump) a pipe, a hair dryer and a bit of wood. Oh and an angle grinder makes things easier.
Really cool! I've tried it the other way around. Forging the pyramids and grinding flat. Cool to see it done this way. The pattern would have carried through if you forged the bevels even a little bit, but it looks great breaking up the pattern toward the edge.
Thanks. I was hoping to offset the pyramids so they would sink into the other side under the press but my measurements were off, using a mill would have been much more accurate! Big fan of your work 🫡🍻
Idk how you are recommended... idc truthfully... The first video i watched was the Razor Blade Damascus knife.. work of art and awesome... It takes money to make money... I'll keep watching as long g as you deep creating masterpieces...of metal
Did anyone else get a chuckle out of the absolutely flawless forge welds being produced on a press with bubble-gum stick welds? Absolutely beautiful work.
Absolutely incredible. I've made knives and watched many be made. Hands down, this is the most extraordinary, skillfully executed, and gorgeous piece of art yet. You made advanced techniques look effortless. Kudos.
Damn 😮😶 absolutely perfect, square and clean in every single step of the process. And in the end, I mean, what can I say, i'm speechless😦 A piece of art. Magnificent beauty, absolute mastery and surety of taste
The process is amazing. And I've never seen anyone grind a diamond pattern into the metal before 😮. Absolutely beautiful blade and colorful handle as well
I've never even blacksmith but I can tell that billet is at the perfect temp for the wells to set right at the perfect point I love love love love love heating up metal
Beautiful press work. Large billets aren’t easy to handle with such precision. And also that angle grinder and then belt grinding too. Just amazing. I’ve never seen this pattern before but it is amazing. And overall the blade is just a work of art. Great job bro.
One of the coolest setups with a variety of tools I've ever seen. Love to see all that equipment put to use like that. Could make a simple knife but it's cool to see a lofty goal achieved with ease.
Sleek! It looks like a giant straight razor and performs like one too! There's a vast difference between real Damascus and the cheap stuff you usually see. This has depth, like wood.
It turned out beautifully but one thing I'm not a fan of is that there's no machanical conection between the blade and the handle (peening, riveting, etc...) So it will likely serve better as a display item rather than a cutter. No discredit to the maker, absolutely stunning work and I love the pattern.
I'm sorry man, that's not a knife...that's a work of art!!
Never apologize for being right!
I will never use it for cutting, I’ll hang it on the wall on my saloon, or cheat a display case for it 😂😂😂😂
I agree with that for sure!
That is awesome! Love the pattern, I would love to own that piece of art.
Much appreciated and thank you for watching!
I'm mostly impressed with those freehand skills with that angle grinder. Those pyramids are spot on like it was made with a robot.
Don't be. It's just based of relentless practice. You can literally do almost anything if you put effort into it.
@@rickwilliams967that doesn’t mean that it’s not impressive

No music? Exactly.
Never have I ever wanted to be a blacksmith so much 🖤
Do it. I started with only 40 bucks in tools. A rail road track ( or any large bit of steel to forge on. Or even a tree stump) a pipe, a hair dryer and a bit of wood. Oh and an angle grinder makes things easier.
I can't think of words to appreciate the level of craftsmanship one of the best I've ever seen
I have literally hundreds of knife making videos, this is the best one I have ever seen!
The tinge on the blade just tied it all together. The handle, the Damascus, the work of art. What a knife!!!
Thanks much appreciated
Your free hand skills are wild dude

You are an artist and that gorgeous blade is museum quality! 😍
This is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in a while
Wow, absolutely stunning. If ever there was a perfect knife.
I was expecting cleaner pyramids to be honest. But as a person who knows nothing about this and could never imagine creating this. Solid knife.
Brother he did that with an angle grinder and a belt sander. That was cleaner than Michael hitting a moonwalk.
Gorgeous! What an amazing process, thank you for sharing. ❤
Absolutely Beautiful Knife, Great work 👍

Neat way to form a tang, beautiful work.
Thank you very much!
Your skill produced a rather orgasmic looking damascus pattern!
There is something zen about watching knives being forged. enjoyed the video.
That knife is a masterpiece my friend.
Yeah man, really excellent work. Gave me a ton of ideas.
Absolutely beautiful piece!!
One of the most beautiful Damascus pattern I have ever seen other than shark tooth Damascus
An absolute masterpiece. Wow.
OMG-a truly amazing piece of art..
Beautiful Damascus pattern! Wow!
That homemade surface grinder is insane
Incredible craftsmanship mate

Might be wrong but aren't traditional Japanese knives always hidden tang? Glue seems to work just fine for them
Incredible craftsmanship 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful piece of work.
Thank you! Cheers!
Really nice work, brother! Thank you for sharing your art.
That's really good! It's like art, love it!
Extremely Incredible Work
I don't care so much for the handle, but that blade is absolutely beautiful.
