  • After a more rigorous hike we end our fist full day in Capitol Reef in the Capitol Gorge. Along the way we travel back in time from the ancient petroglyphs to the Pioneer Register where the first settlers, engraved their names in the sandstone walls. We made our way to the tanks. These features usually hold water and make for impressive photography. All the while, the Golden Throne, a massive limestone dome, makes it's majesty apparent. The relatively flat trail made for an easygoing hike with rewarding views.
