Clear flood mode always got it to start. Simply floor the gas pedal and brake while starting and it would shut the ignition and injectors off until you let off the gas, allowing it to crank all the vapors out.
I had trouble with my 2015 Lincoln MKX starting after fueling but it would eventually would start. The engine light would come and go from time to time. I had our local auto part store check it for me. I replaced the purge valve cost was $28 took me about 15 minutes to replace it. That was about two weeks ago, so far the engine light hasn't come on and when I fueled up it cranked fine. I also read a article never to cap off the fuel tank when fueling up, when the fuel handle clicks off do not put any more in it. I did not know that.
They can take regular 87, the owners manual says so. I only put 93 because I drove for UberLUX in the Lincoln MKZ, and 91/93 octane made the gas mileage in the city a LITTLE TINY BIT better. The octane rating is just how hard it is to ignite the fuel under pressure. Higher octane is harder to Pre-ignition/PING. Lower octane 87 is still good, they have additives required by law in them still. 89 is just 50% 87 octane and 50% 91/93 octane mixed at the pump. Trailer only has two gasoline hoses from the fuel truck, no 89 on the trailer.
Did it cost much money to replace those parts to fix it? Also, did it take a lot of time to get the right parts and to find a mechanic that had the knowledge to fix it?
@@crystalabilez531 after my crappy warranty crap, it cost me about 680 bucks. That included a loaner car but I don't remember the cost of just the repairs. I think it was about $400 out of pocket. Total bill was $1400 USD.
Next time, show the solution and please, don't include the 'how to pump your own gas' part. If you need a tutorial on how to pump your own gas then.... could've saved half the video length..
Found on road dead, fucked over rebuilt dodge, found out reliability deters, Figures others run double. Idk hahah I just filled my mkz out of a slip tank that wasn’t used all winter and turns out the mf got water in it..
My car does this now when I put gas in it or when I'm driving it makes this buzzing noise and when I press the break or stop the car. The car cuts off.

I’m having trouble locating the purge valve on my 2016 2.0t
What did you do to fix the problem? I just experienced this for the first time tonight. Same exact car and motor
It was the whole evap thing. I can't remember it's been 3 years. I think the purge canister and the fuel filler neck needed replaced.
Lol the comments about premium gas.
It doesn't hurt the car, so what's the issue? It's my money anyway.
Also, do u have to get the top of the line 93 gas to fill up these types of Lincoln MKZ luxury vehicles or can they take regular unleaded?

The only thing different between a Ford Fusion and a Lincoln MKZ is the suspension and the car body. The engine and transmission are the same.
@@KevinColumbus I just got a 2013 mkz and the roof goes back as well and I love my mkz
@@KevinColumbus Tell me what fusion has a 3.7! You obviously don’t know your cars.
@@eostrow1963 you realize they also come with a 2.0 EcoBoost, Mr expert?
Mass air flow sensor going bad?
Mine is doing the same it's the purge valve
Forgot to update. It was the purge valve, canister, fuel filler neck and a fuel pressure sensor.

the manual doesn't recommend using the higher octane. have ya read it front to back and everything in between?
It's been a couple years since I have. It says something about heavy usage and premium fuel somewhere.
Mine was a 2015 with the 2.0 EcoBoost
I also just like how it smells. No ethanol gas smells amazing.
My car runs better and slightly quicker on 91. 2015 3.7.
Happy Birthday 🎉🎁
Wait, you use premium gas?

Wanted to show the whole process. It was the evap canister
How am I supposed to show the solution when it wasn't fixed yet?
Dale: Gribble: I know what's wrong with it. It's a Ford. You know what they say Ford stands for, don't ya? It stands for 'Fix it again, Tony'.
Frequently Order Replacement Drivetrain

Thought that was FIAT
What was the issue with the Lincoln MKZ
Purge valve and fuel filler neck

Definitely the purge valve in the engine compartment, had the same on my 2.0 Lt fusion
Try the evap purge valve in the engine compartment common problem
That's what it was.
How you get it back to started I’m in gas station and my car is like that now
