Wow. Your model has amazing hair! She has a choice of curly or straight. I have a tool very similar to this and it works just as well as yours. But my main comment is about her hair. Very beautiful!
Thrilled to see this video specifically because I ordered it a few days ago! I'm an American living in Ireland so the dual-voltage feature is why I hit the buy button. Can't wait to use!
Thanks for the thorough critique. It’s great to see that you showed us how it works but also allowed the client to try it. Many times a professional can easily use the products but the user or client gets home and can’t do the same thing, so kudos to you for having the client give it a try. 😊
I bought but returned the ring. I found it hard to glide through my hair and tedious, so I returned it. In fairness I was probably using too large of sections and handling it wrong. I am known for being impatient with my hair. But I was impressed with the accessories like the glove. Really well thought out. That said I have the TYMO air brush, find it super easy to use and love the results. Overall, I think TYMO makes quality products.
I'm going to buy one. I have thick, curly, wavy and now, grey hair. My grey hair has a mind of it's own after I blow dry it with a diffuser. No matter what I do to control the grey frizz, it's there until I use a flat iron on it. I've tried "no frizz" products and they still don't control it. I can't wait to order this. Thank you for another great video!
Thank you! found it on amazon., 2 models, bought the Ring Plus. less than $60, got it next day. immediately tried it out, worked just as you described.
Something new that I will actually buy! My hair is naturally wavy and thick. The TYMO looks like it would work great for me. I don't have a problem adding bend to the ends with a quick pass with a flat iron after all the hair is straightened. No matter what I do, I always have to use my flat iron on my bangs, so this would be an easy way to get the best of all worlds! Thanks for this...
I bought this and returned next day. My hair is thick, course and curly. It did straighten my hair decently but my hair ended up getting really poufy within short time frame not even going outside. Ends didn't look good. Couldn't get close enough to roots
I watched your video and decided to try this product… it worked awesome!!!! I have fine, coloured, wavy hair.. and my hair can become voluminous and staticky in its natural state..I found using the Tymo very easy and quick.. my hair came out soft and silky with movement.. I like the Tymo better than a flatiron and will use this product Thank you!!!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Justin for reviewing this! I've been hesitant to purchase yet another styling tool to help tame my frizzies. Your review was thorough and educational. I'm sold and will be using your link to buy this Tymo tool.
She looks great with wavy, soft curls! & her color is nice n soft. Maybe add some long layers? straight hair was not very flattering on her- in my opinion. or perhaps straight emhanced with a partial up do? instead of a simple side part and all down.
Love her hair! It's like mine. I rarely straighten my hair, but if I do, I just use my curling iron, just hold it straight and don't turn it and it works fine. Of course, I've got a big curling iron for my type of hair, so the surface area for using it to straighten out hair is a lot larger than most irons.
I bought it, used it but going to donate it. I have shoulder length gray hair…. 1 it takes a while (if you notice they were both going slowly through the hair) 2 made the ends look stringy … like they were all fly always 3 did not hold the hair (I had to hold it) with the straightener I found it quicker, IT Holds my hair and I can actually turn hair under just a bit so they don’t look like fly always 🤷🏼♀️
I hate straightening my hair. I just wear a ponytail or bun because it takes too long. This actually looks promising. I hate using hair irons because they break my hair off. I'm going to try this.
@@joycegauche994 I hear ya. I think it’s a matter of “we all want what we don’t have”. I’d love to have the curls just for the option of going straight or curly.
Hmmm, this was interesting. My stylist showed me how to “straighten” my hair using a paddle brush. However, I have to also use my blow dryer, which makes my arms ache after a bit. Might give this a try. Looks much easier!
Exactly! And if you don’t use the blow dryer and paddle brush correctly, it can actually be pretty damaging to your hair! Surprisingly, even more damaging than flat irons or hot combs like this. You wouldn’t think so, but I’ve seen it in the salon.
Living in the tropics is hell for my wavy, stubborn grey hair. I’ve tried sooo many anti-humidity products with the blow dryer and iron with no success….back to frizz in no time 😢. This looks like it might be worth a try. 🤞🏽
It’s definitely worth a try. Also, have you tried drying and straightening your hair outside or with a window open? That can help with the frizz if you’re planning on being out in the humidity all day. Part of the reason your hair becomes frizzy and humidity is due to your hairs, moisture level, trying to balance out with the humidity.
I actually just recieved this yesterday and will try it tomorrow. I have curly thick hair. Would i blow dry my hair first and use heat protectant spray or just use this took to straighten my washed and dried naturally curly hair ??
YES!!!! Glam girl Gabi turned me onto the tymo titanium blow out brush, all of the tools they make are well made just like this tool! So glad to see you feature the tymo brand. I would love to see a vid on the new air cool curling tool they have, similar to the Dyson air wrap.
I’m so intrigued by this hair tool. I can use it for my hair but I also have bangs so I don’t know if it will make my bangs flat if I use this instead of a blow dryer with round brush. It’s how I straighten all my hair and also my bangs.
I don't want to be that person...but her natural hair structure is so pretty and it suits her much better, then straightened hair, imo 😅 Okok. I know. People want what they want, but I would *kill* for hair like that! Sighs. Looks like a neat tool, though!
Yes, I hope she sees in this video that she looks much much better in her natural hair! She just needs to take care of it and use the Curly Girl Method! There are so many people like her who destroy their hair with straighteners and fighting their natural texture...
@@tessltaekook8501 I know. If it looks like that, even though she probably doesn't treat it very well (for wavy/curly hair), I'd love to see, what the right care and styling would do with it. She might even have downright curls, if the waves are that pronounced at this length!
I love you and your content but the before was already amazing ! The straightening is ok for a change but meh , not for me personally. She looks amazing both ways though❤
Btw, when first straight irons came out, there was no temp control, no instruction on use so you didn’t go slow down the hair causing damage. If you don’t use heat protecting product these will not only fry your hair, but cause breakage, and in some cases flatten each hair shaft FLAT LIKE A RIBBON!! Yep it can. I’m lucky with natural wavy hair. I use curl cream with heat protectant after washing and diffuser which only takes about 15-20 min and I’m out the door.
Absolutely true. I’d add that even today, unless people seek out how to use hot tools correctly, they’re still not shown in most cases. I also agree about the heat protection. Definitely a good idea whenever using heat.
I can’t argue there! It would work great on short hair. You’d just want to make sure there was enough length to be able to grab the hair for tension while you’re pulling the comb through the ends.
I bought the Tymo Ring after seeing Glam Girl Gabi demo it. I like the temperature control feature. I use the lowest heat for my fine, thinning, color-treated hair.
Right now my hair is very short and it is hard to use a flat iron on it. I have to go curly in this humidity of the South living in TN and traveling to FL. This might actually work for me.
It definitely could. You can also try drying and styling your hair outside or in a room with the window open (if you plan on spending a lot of time outside in the humidity). Drying your hair in the same environment as you plan on spending your time will help combat the frizz when your hair tries to balance its moisture with its environment.

Great question! Honestly, I actually may have a little special some thing I’ve been working on for the past few months. It may be on the market in a couple of months. Lol :-)
Hello, I have some curly hair, wavy and straight hair. I don't know what to do with it. Also, I only have the use of one hand. Can you help me? Thanks. 10:1510:19
Hey! Great question. It’s tough to say without seeing your hair. I can definitely say that having a good shape (meaning the layers cut correctly) will really help with the drying process. If there’s enough curl in your hair to get it enhanced through the cut (and potentially evened out to create the illusion of a more even curl pattern across your entire head) you could have a shape that would allow you to air dry lit if needed. This is still all a guess with seeing your hair though.
Have you used the TYMO blow dryer? I see that the hot comb is free if you purchase the blow dryer. It looks like a Dyson or the Leifen that you just reviewed.
I have thin fine hair on the top but the rest of my head is somewhat thicker - normal. I'm plus size so I'm trying to figure out the best style for me. Any videos you can recommend?
I bought one of these, but its not good for my fine hair, even though it is wavy. It just made it limp and left waves. Flat iron works much better for me.
Great question. Depends on how you’re using the Dyson and brush. If you’re directing the airflow correctly with the proper attachment, then yes, the comb is likely a little harder on the hair.
That’s a great question. I honestly haven’t used the TYMO RING PLUS so I can’t speak to how it works in comparison. I need to get my hands on that and do a side by side.
I have hair like this- but it’s about shoulder length or a tad shorter and layered- would this tool still work? Sometimes I straighten parts of my hair that are frizzing out or won’t go the right way..
I used the TYMO oil. It worked well for sure. I’ll fill ya in on a little secret too, I MAY have been working on a heat protector/ frizz eliminator and shine enhancing product for a while now and it MAY be coming to the market in a couple months. ;).
I have curly hair, but it is also white (naturally), which burns easy. So... to straighten the curly will burn the white and it looks yellowed. Will this help with this problem?? (My picture is not updated)

Taking a chance and purchased from your link. Unfortunately it was from a foreign transaction so I used wrong credit card for that and will have to pay the foreign fee. Ugh. So much for a discount 😢
