Welcome back 🎉 I lose the most weight when I’m on SW. What I do that’s different is use olive spray (not fry light as it’s not natural) & Greek yogurt full fat version (and don’t syn them) fats I believe aren’t the biggest problem, I believe the sugars are. You must do what works for you ❤ I am so saddened about your experience of group (and also some of your subscribers, I have only had the most wonderful support from the three I have attended over the years! I’ve been flip flopping between different diets for the past few months too, so know exactly where you’re coming from. I have been following a SW plan for the past week (I have enough of their cook books so don’t feel the need to re- join group) and am finding it quite easy as I’m of the determined mindset to shift this extra 3 stone. You’re completely right with the meal planning, it is the key to success. I’ve also set my daily syn limit at 5, but have not gone over 3 as I’m trying to wean myself off sugary foods. I find the more sweet foods I eat, the more I want. Good luck with your journey, I’ll be cheering you on from the sidelines along with everyone else. You CAN do this ❤
Hi Danielle, I had the same experience. Overall I have found SW easier to sustain as a long term framework that I stay - sometimes a bit vaguely - within. I prefer being able to eat till I am full on a list of free food that I don’t need to measure. And I can lose the craving for sweet things. Calorie counting allowed me to include craving inducing food - which are then much harder not to want again. Xx

Hi Danielle, I’ve just subscribed and am keen to follow your journey. I agree with everything you said, the main things being the necessity to plan, shop and prep ahead. You really do have to set that time aside. I think that applies to any diet whether it’s calorie counting, SW or whatever.
SW is the only plan I have done where I have successfully lost. Only ever had about 1 - 1.5 stone to loose so not a massive amount but I’m short so I can really see and feel it. I never really got on with SW clubs (tried 2) - either people would say ‘don’t know why you’re here’ (and that was the woman weighing me!!) or people constantly sitting chatting about not having lost….but previously hearing them talking about having had fish and chips twice that week and 3 x birthday cakes at work ….i know we can incorporate everything in the plan within reason but it used to just frustrate me that every week, the same people would turn up and just make weekly excuses. We all know it’s flipping hard and doesn’t come easily - but we have to try!!! Thank you for being an inspiration - raw and to the point - it’s not easy and most of the time it feels such a battle. Completely know where you’re coming from, to the point I’ve just got my SW books out (new pack from when I signed up and then changed my mind!!) and considering it again. Thanks for the kick!!!

The way you describe SW is exactly how I described it to my hubby the other day. As I was talking about re joining. I don't really want to go to group as I don't like the pressure of it all. So maybe looking at the online only. Good luck with your journey
I’m all over the place. One day I’m thinking calories, then I’m fasting and then start re thinking SW. sometimes I feel so desperate to lose the weight, it’s overwhelming and I end up doing nothing. My issue is lack of consistency with whatever I do. 🙄 Anything that gets you where you want to be, has to be a positive. 👍🏼 Good on you and I wish you luck.

Hi Danielle, you need to do what works for you definitely. That being said, I have struggled all my life with just one stone, on,off,on,off. I have lost that one stone so many times it’s the equivalent of another person. It’s taken me until now at the age of 63 to take a step back from slimming clubs, diets and to be honest making myself miserable. I have good days and bad days but I’m just trying to eat everything in moderation and not obsess too much,life’s too short. Good luck with SW but please don’t let it take over your life, it’s not worth it 💕xx

Hiya hun forget the haters it’s ur life and your channel no one is holding a gun to there heads and making them watch you You need to do what is right for you I recon you need to stop over complicating sw with macros and all that stuff can u remember how u did it the first time u done it you ate all the food and felt full and satisfied and dint worry about hitting protein goals and the weight came off so for the first couple of months just forget everything you have picked up over time and go back to basics fill you plate with speed first eat the pasta and potatoes use the syns there are there to be used and just relax and enjoy the food you are preparing and see what happens if it’s not working then move things around but like my mum always said why fix what ain’t broken if the plan as it’s written works then keep going Good luck hun I went bk to group I had my first weigh in last Friday I lost -2 lb not the biggest loss but we had a couple of days out to and like u said about planning I wasn’t fully planned so wasn’t fully on plan but got my seconds group tomorrow I have everything crossed for you hun xx

I wish you well, but I truly believe consistency is key. Which ever plans you choose you have to stick with it. I think a minimum of 6 months. I see lots of people swopping and changing from one thing to another. I do sincerely wish you luck. J

Best decision, but what I would say is it this doesn't work again them you need to walk away from all diets for a while. All of the plans you have been on will work, if your dedicated to it. Ive struggled but stayed with sw, I know changing plans is not going to change my mind set of wanting to eat anything and everything 😅. Good luck 🎉
Hi Danielle. New subscriber here. I have joined SW several times going to different groups and always find them very klicky. At the moment I’m trying calorie counting and finding it very difficult. I think whatever suits you. I think I’m destined to be fat and old. I’ve been to see about gastric surgery and been turned down, so really fed up. Good luck. Xx

I do like calorie counting sometimes but it can be exhausting at times and stressful trying to weigh absolutely 💯 everything lol. 😂 I’m glad you’ve posted this as Im going back on SW. our group is so lovely. There are some not so good ones. That’s a brilliant idea to calorie count Fridays and Saturdays I’m with you on that. I know what you mean about going out for a jacket potato I’d rather have something nice lol 😂 xxx
Be positive move forward you know how to do it......lose the weight but you need to stay on it forever or back comes the weight. I speak from experience make up your mind do you want to be on this plan forever if not don't do it! You are just making SW rich. I was an area slimmer of the year finalist 2018 the people giving the certificates were heavier than I began.. and the photos cut off legs in order to include the adverts behind... Be you!!!! I've personally never synced masked,blended is cooked fruit IF I only ate the same amount as I would in the raw state. I've been at target for 5 years now been a sw member for about 7 years and to be fair I one cc instead,after so long sw is far too restrictive to live on forever in my opinion. Have you heard of GROW with Kieron..it's based in Wales but is available online,,it has free foods like sw but not HE allowances so no restrictions in that way..any food that's not free are cc..an allowance is set for you. I've never followed it but I follow Kazza who does it and the plan seems a good option..might be worth looking at. Good luck in whatever you do..losing weight and keeping it off is bloody hard..but keep trying and you'll get to where you want to be in your own time.

I think the best way to do slimming world is to combine it with calorie counting i like the freedom of just eating with out weighing etc but theres days i just crave pizza etc and the sw alternatives dont cut it so on days when the cravings hit i calorie count it then im not going completely mad
I agree with the love hate of slimming world. I like the principles and encouragement to make better choices but I find some things like, this bread is a B and this one is synned. Like, whyy. Calorie counting is good to so along side if you go over the syns I found. Currently calorie counting, weighing everything, on day 4 and I'm over it hahaha
🫶 it doesn't matter to me what plan you are doing. Just enjoy watching your vlogs, Danielle. If SW is what you want to do, then do it. At the end of the day, it's your choice. Good luck for the week. ❤xx

I’m exactly the same. I do like calorie counting sometimes but it can be exhausting at times and stressful trying to weigh absolutely 💯 everything lol. 😂 I’m glad you’ve posted this as Im going back on SW. our group is so lovely. There are some not so good ones. That’s a brilliant idea to calorie count Fridays and Saturdays I’m with you on that. I know what you mean about going out for a jacket potato I’d rather have something nice lol 😂 xxx
Be positive move forward you know how to do it......lose the weight but you need to stay on it forever or back comes the weight. I speak from experience make up your mind do you want to be on this plan forever if not don't do it! You are just making SW rich. I was an area slimmer of the year finalist 2018 the people giving the certificates were heavier than I began.. and the photos cut off legs in order to include the adverts behind... Be you!!!! I've personally never synced masked,blended is cooked fruit IF I only ate the same amount as I would in the raw state.
I've been at target for 5 years now been a sw member for about 7 years and to be fair I one cc instead,after so long sw is far too restrictive to live on forever in my opinion.
Have you heard of GROW with Kieron..it's based in Wales but is available online,,it has free foods like sw but not HE allowances so no restrictions in that way..any food that's not free are cc..an allowance is set for you.
I've never followed it but I follow Kazza who does it and the plan seems a good option..might be worth looking at.
Good luck in whatever you do..losing weight and keeping it off is bloody hard..but keep trying and you'll get to where you want to be in your own time.

The thing I worry about with SW is that they say you can eat unlimited pasta and potatoes and I really find it hard to believe.
I think the best way to do slimming world is to combine it with calorie counting i like the freedom of just eating with out weighing etc but theres days i just crave pizza etc and the sw alternatives dont cut it so on days when the cravings hit i calorie count it then im not going completely mad
do you watch a bit of kazza she is doing grow which has foods you don't count with calorie counting and is doing really well she struggled on SW x
I agree with the love hate of slimming world. I like the principles and encouragement to make better choices but I find some things like, this bread is a B and this one is synned. Like, whyy.
Calorie counting is good to so along side if you go over the syns I found. Currently calorie counting, weighing everything, on day 4 and I'm over it hahaha
