@@PizzaManIsHere "game didn't hold your hand as much as skyrim did" not sure I agree with that one. The main reason why I'd say oblivion is worse is that the late game is fundamentally broken. The scaling was done horribly like by the time your in the 40s it takes really long to kill enemies with lots of hp like minotaurs, daedra etc etc. The late game is not enjoyable to play and it forces you to either min max, never level up, exploit the game or lower the difficulty. Plus I didn't like the world building/ setting. It definitely wasn't as deep in that regard compared to skyrim and especially to morrowind where the world building and culture feels very defined, unique and interesting. Whilst oblivion relies on a tell not show for its world building which disrupts immersion and makes the game feel very generic high fantasy. I think when it comes to the big 3, how you rank them is more or less entirely subjective it just depends on what you prefer in a rpg game. For me world building is really important as is a fun late game and good combat.
@@lapizza7175the game is unplayable to today standards. And its not because the game is old, super mario bros came out way before morrowind and is still perfectly playable.
My head cannon is that Morrowind was the last game Bethesda made before they started drug testing their employees. That game had some wild stuff in it and didn't shy away from taboo/ controversy. That's a huge part of good world building. Every BGS iteration after is more vanilla than the previous. Trying to appeal to a mass audience is great for paying the bills but that's about it. I hope they sell the rights to TES6.... Though I have no idea who would be able to do that game justice.... At least I have another decade to ponder this
Morrowind was my first open world and I’ve yet to play one that tops it. Modern open world games feel so stale and shallow. They’re just big for the sake of big, full of little “events” but no substance. In Morrowind, I found a living breathing world full of history and culture. Now, if only it got the same legacy treatment from Bethesda as Skyrim… imagine an updated Morrowind, just when it comes to visuals and combat. I’d pay for that rerelease in a heartbeat.
Skyrim was a shallow ocean, it was vast but had no depth. Its side quests were awful, like in the mage guild you go from nothing to arch mage in like 4 quests. Don’t get me wrong it is not a bad game AT ALL, but out of the 3 3d elder scroll games, it is easily the weakest
I can see the good and the bad of Fallout 4. It has some really good characters, I like the VATS system and the settlement building is a personal obsession of mine (even if it doesn't fit everybody's desires in a post apocalyptic setting). The main issue I take away from the game is its writing, and the dialogue system doesn't help. If the game's factions had more outstanding pros and cons to them (like New Vegas), it would've been better. We also don't get nearly as many options to be evil as Fallout 3, which in a way does eliminate some of your choices. The idea of the post apocalypse allows humanity to revert back to the 'kill or be killed' mentality. A lot of people might take up to raiding or enslaving people, but it's clear that the developers of the game want us to build and not destroy (as much). While I like this game, I can't say that it enters the category of being 'great'.
story was mid, guns are offensively ugly, garbage redesigns, lore contradictions, LEFT HANDED BOLTS ON EVERY BOLT ACTIONS, they removed the rpg elements and skill mechanics of the previous games. they made it into a buggy yet shiny game for casuals. its an OK game but its not a good fallout game. its way better with mods, but Bethesda doesn't get points for community labor.

Oblivion was the game that first got me hooked on these games. I remember staying up all night fulfilling various quests and side quests and having absolutely no idea how to play the game. I remember when I first learned that you could soul trap enemies to recharge your enchanted weapons. I remember the arena and learning the different techniques and mechanics like how holding down on the left joystick while attacking will make your character attack differently. I was born in 1994 which puts me in a weird category with regard to technology. I was never exposed to computers as a child. My PS3 was essentially my very first computer. I was 13 about to turn 14 when my mom purchased my PS3. RUclips had been around by then but I didn’t have computer access at home so watching RUclips tutorials for games didn’t come naturally to me. I had to learn where to find the soul trap spell all on my own and when I finally did I soon after became an enemy of all the mud crabs.

Fallout 4 is definetly one of the best Fallout titles besides New Vegas (I only played both of them, so I can talk about Fallout 3 from what I heard of). I had much joy playing Fallout 4 multiple times with different endings + DLC (which also are all great). F4 had a very diverse content pool while New Vegas had imo the much better story and setting. Besides all those positive points I mentioned, there is still a valid reason, why I play Skyrim so much more often than F4 and its not cause of the mods only. Yes, I am more the medival-fantasy guy but Skyrim has done from my perspektive everything right, a RPG has to do: Story, Mechanics, Leveldesign, Music, Combat (even tho its very dated), RPG Elements and the worldbuilding. All of that had much more impact in Skyrim and New Vegas than it is in Fallout 4, if you dont consider the main story. And I am not talking about, how Fallout 4 started to recycle elements from Skyrim like sounds and designs which was really disappointing when I noticed it. Auto levelling...
No. It has wasted potential. The main storyline is boring. The oblivion part is boring and generic too. The NPC's are being memed of for a reason. The leveling system is unrewarding. Yes, some side quests and guild questlines are really good, overral better than the ones in skyrim. but it's flaws doesn't make it a perfect game. 8/10
@@lapizza7175calling it boring and generic is crazy, it's probably the most unique out of bethesda's most popular games, and it's literally set in a massively important part in the elder scrolls' lore timeline. Idk if i would rate either skyrim or oblivion over eachother
I was talking specifically for the main quesline, and the parts in oblivion. Like the mission when you have a to do 6 gates or wathever, it's boring and repititive. The strenght of this game is his side quests and some funny characters@@Eminembest4eva1

@@rumbelstiltskin1862 Damn dude you don't need to tell me you've never played morrowind before I get you bro dw

@@Kazmistrz1993 Agreed. Loved his work on the Dunmer.
Morrowind was magical, the music the world. I hated skyrim because it feels like a bland and boring world.
Fallout New Vegas for me is a 9/10, a beautiful game with some bugs but is a good game

Fallout New Vegas is from Obsidian.
Idk why everybody hates on Fallout 4. I absolutely loved that game

Why does everyone think FO3 is like >>>>>>>>>>>> over fallout 4 when it requires mods to even run on new hardware? Besides that everything about fallout 4 is better than fallout 3 besides story and the roleplaying part.
Fallout 3’s story is also terrible lol
@@ExtraPrivatable I haven’t played it so idk
Honestly if Bethesda fixes all the bugs in fallout 76 it would be a perfect game
