- In this video, I met with @TravellingwithRussell in Moscow during my recent solo journey, travelling 4,000 km across Western Russia, to explore the incredibly beautiful Soviet Exhibition venue, VDNKh, looking at the various exhibition pavilions of the former Republics of the Soviet Union (USSR).
VDNKh is a Moscow park which was built to represent the countries part of the Soviet Union and exhibit their achievements, and now it's a great place to enjoy both winter and summer in Moscow, Russia.
@TravellingwithRussell and I admire and comment on the pavilions of the Republics of Armenia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Abkhazia, Latvia and Kyrgyzstan. We also saw the pavilions of the Karelia, Leningrad, Northern Caucasus and Volga Regions.
We also check out the SU-27 & Yak-42 aeroplanes, the VOSTOK and Buran space shuttles.
Join us for this exploration, visiting former Soviet republics without leaving Moscow.

VDNH - Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy. The largest exhibition of the times of the USSR. Now they are used for exhibitions and presentations, conferences. Nice place in summer. fountains. I live in the Netherlands, Moscow is my hometown. Thank you for the video.

Union. Union of Soviet(ic) Socialist(ic) Republics was written on big huse after Lenin. Officially it was a union of 15 republics (with biggest RSFSR - Russian Soviet(ic) Federal Socialist(ic) Republic, now just RF- Russian Federation). Sovietic means probanly councillic, but its other story.
Because central exhibition of whole economy of USSR, work successes (btw, originally it was agricultural only, that is mirrored in architecture) - that why you see sculptures of working people everywhere here, or something with relation to big work successes in agriculture and industry. Most of houses are representations of one of republics (Armenia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan or others, 15 republics) or some parts of economic - "transport", "electricity", "space" ("cosmos").

Could you do the whole thing next time - past Kosmos, towards all the animal husbandry ones, a stop by moskvarium and the climbing gym? What you've shown is maybe 20 percent of the area.
Sure. This was a quick visit this time and we focused on the main circle of buildings. There are definitely loads more to see. Definitely next time I’m in Moscow I’ll do a more comprehensive coverage 👍🏼

Soviet Union is Great period ♥
Many are, but not all. Actually, most people I've met in Russia has an ambivalent attitude towards the USSR. They are nostalgic aboust some things but hate other. The ones missing it most are the poors.
I live near VDNH, and I think this is very great place, different socialism architecture style , very atmosphere gardens and comfortable place for rest ❤️
