  • We are summer jig fishing for Crappie in the shallow waters of the swamp and it's a hot one. You can still find crappie up shallow. These crappie are hanging around the rest of the fish. You just have to work them out of there. You will catch other fish but you will find the crappie. We have some fun jig fishing in this one. Hope you enjoy

    Great video thank you!! No matter how many different / new lures there are out there, and I do like trying different lures and techniques, this is still my favorite way to fish, jig & float, and it always produces more for me than anything else. Old school is always the best!!!! I just picked up some Zoom tiny flukes, 3 inch, after watching a few videos from Richard Gene using them and I'm going to try them next time I get out on a jig & float.

    Hey fish yanked. Watch you always on your videos. Very informative . Had tried your trilene knot before, but had not moved the knot toward the inside. Wow. Thanks for the tip. Enjoy that nice fan.

      Thank you. I appreciate you watching the videos. I was taught that trick about that knot a long time ago by a good fishing buddy. Really makes a difference. The cooling fan Is one of my best investments so far this summer. Make a huge difference in the heat. I am liking it a lot.

    How can u find crappies on the bank and what can I start off with using crappie fishing

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  Год назад

      Look for bait splashing on top of the water. You'll see little flickers on top of the water. Minnows are good, you can fish them about a foot and a half deep with a bobber the crappie will see them and come up to feed on them eventually. Once they fight a little bit jig and Barbara is pretty good. I like to throw out some minnows and bobbers and then fish a beetle spin with a bobby Garland jig on it.

    What is it illegal to keep bass where you at that one had some nice filets on it

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  Год назад +2

      It is legal to keep Bass. The limit is 10. I raised my family on bass but now in my older years I have acquired The taste for crappie and bluegill. I still will eat a little of bass and catfish every once in the great while. Bass is a good clean tasting fish. Thank you Calvin

    Hello ! What are the size and name of that spinning rod and what the size and name of that spinning reel you are using in this RUclips video and who sell the spinning rod and who sell the spinning reel and what the name and size and color of that fishing line you are also using in this RUclips video please. I want to buy me that spinning rod and spinning reel please. Can you please do a little more casting RUclips video for shell crackers and red ear and bluegill and crappies using live night crawler and live cricket and live minnows as your baits please. Thank you so much and may the Lord be in your heart today to answer all of my questions please 🙏🙏

      Sorry I'm just now getting to the comments. Yes I will try to use some more live bait to go bluegill and red ear fishing. The fishing reel that I'm using is a Alba Garcia Max X10 light spinning reel. The rod is a Shakespeare micro series light action rod 5 ft 6. And the fishing line is 6 lb test high Vis Mr crappie. The rod and reel have a clickable Amazon link below the video in the description box you click on the link and it will take you straight to the product. The rod can also be found at Walmart. But the reel usually have to go to academy sports and outdoors or Bass pro shop. But like I was saying I have links where you can buy them online.

    • @FishYanker
      @FishYanker  4 месяца назад +1

      @ErnestKiefer I like to use the medium ones also they're pretty strong but not too big you can put all different kind of crappie hooks on there and I like that gold Willow leaf blades size 2.
