Purchased 2 today based on the few videos that are available and I agree that the connectivity features and the clip work perfectly but the sound quality is very "meh" and with both of them full blast, it's a big let down. My $15 tiny no name bluetooth speakers are louder and sound better than these. I used the Versas for about 5 hours today in the backyard and garage and found myself constantly wanting and wishing there was more volume and kept having to relocate them closer to me so that I could hear them as I worked around my large yard which have no obstructions. Definitely not what I expected and returning them tomorrow.
This was my exact experience. I returned mine. I've got a cheap Anker that blows the Ryobis away. I REALLY wanted to like these. I returned them.
UE or Ultimate Ears rechargeable Bluetooth speakers do the same thing but sound much better. Liked the video though. You always have a “Dip” in your mouth when you do these vids? 😂😂

I’m really looking forward to getting these. I just hope the sound quality is as good as everyone is saying it is. I have ecoxgear Bluetooth speakers that sound amazing, but the runtime is ok.
As mentioned, not a lot of that boom, boom boom... but I was sorta surprised with how much detail I was able to pick up in the music. I've been using for a few days now and really happy with them

Well, all I can say is I've come down on Ryobi pretty hard for a few other things, but this isn't one. Worst case scenario, you hate them and just take them back, but I'm really happy with them for sure brother. 👊

Hey Clint any chance you could do some sort of range test? I imagine those advertised ranges are with ideal conditions with line of sight so I’m certainly not worried about maximum range but if they could even do half that I’d say that’s pretty damn good.

If the product had a 3.5mm line out jack you could use a larger speaker in the center and position the rest on the perimeter

Been stoked for these to come put since I saw them. I work in a factory, and some of the machines have a 30 foot working area, its real difficult to stick a single speaker in a location that you can hear everywhere that isn't insanely loud when you're too close to it. A couple of these would be perfect. Plus the ryobi fans I take to work do a great job of helping me beat the heat.
My buddy works in a moving company an he bungee cord straps one of the ryobi fans to the back of his dolly/hand truck to beat the heat 😂😂😂
Will they connect to the Ryobi speakers from about 3 years ago that had this capability? Also, is this 2 different model numbers for the master & slave speakers, as the old system did, or does the first speaker turned on become the master?

Looks cool. I wish you could test the limits - can you really space them 150ft. ? What happens when you exceed the range? Will they work through a concrete wall? At any point is there a time delay between speakers?

Great functional speakers but lack in the sound that i wish they had. Very good for the pool. Glad we got to hear that ground breaking schweet schweet sound that is sure to shoot to the top of the charts. I cant believe i was one of the first to experience it first. Pretty sure you’d get better sound from the waterproof portable JVC speakers. Good in 3ft water for 20 minutes.
Would a single battery last the day? Maybe a low amp hr one would be preferable due to cost of extra batteries...

Are they as good as the score speakers they discontinued? I bought two of those and had plans to add to them, but they discontinued before I could.

Riobi need to add a mic, alarm or some kinda feature like that to the primary speak, say yous at the job site, two storay building with a sweet sweet outside and you got dem boyz workin all over da place, boss man speaks into the speaker and says it’s brewski time and it projects over all the speakers at once then no man is put into that sad sad diabolical situation of missing out on the first round. Or it could be used for safety stuff but meh

They currently have a kit of 6 1.5's and a 2 port charger for 150 dollars. If you need small batteries for an army of stupid things like this its a great solution

Not great sounding. One of mine would skip indoors. I returned them. But i can see them being useful if you need to cover a lot of space and the sound quality isn't important.

They should’ve made the speakers into usb lithium instead of one plus
Why would they not make it so that those speakers act as an intercom system tool? So that you can speak into the master and transmit your voice to the speakers in different rooms and then each speaker could respond back. But they already all connect to each other and have a 200 foot range, it would be hardly any extra work to add a tiny built in microphone and a button to turn it on whenever you want to speak to people in different rooms. It’s pretty dumb that they didn’t add this feature. It would really make it a product that a boss/manager would be more willing to invest if they know it would improve the communication between them and their workers. If it’s just a way for people to listen to music in different rooms, that doesn’t really do anything to attract the boss to want to buy the speakers. If anything, it sounds like the speakers would be more likely a hindrance to effective communication and productivity. If you add the intercom feature to the speakers then the boss can rationalize buying the speakers because they can be useful for productivity and easier communicating. Stupid move Ryobi!

I bought 2 of these clamp speakers. They sound terrible. Lots of other positive Bluetooth features, but bottom line, speakers should sound good. I wanted to like them, but it was a fail.
