I have to give you major props for this review. At times I have been left with the impression that you were unwilling to say anything negative about the products you review. I understand the negative impact a bad review can have on your relationship with manufacturers. Thank you for your candor. I love Arrma products and teething problems are normal with new products. I hope Arrma understands they won't be able to make their products better without honest feedback and also if they were encouraging of such feedback that the community would embrace them - much like Elon Musk with his videos when his rockets fail. We understand and we love the hobby. Things are going to break. It's just part of the hobby. No matter how much you test preproduction you can't anticipate what's going to happen what will happen when your products are released "in the wild". It's a gorgeous truck. Thanks Arrma for another cool vehicle.
all you gotta do is change stock tyres to backflips or mx38...and change shock collar heights (7mm front-14mm rear etc.) and make sure you also update esc software, once thats all done its one of the most fun RC's you will ever drive.
Brother bought it for that, great deal. But it sets cause it's possessed! Breaks every time we run. Something. But we got her going now, redid all 3 diffs. Great running vehicle. I want the big rock but I bought the new kraton exb rtr 😮
Since this thing dropped I’ve thought it looked awesome in all the reviews. But to be honest, in my humble opinion, I feel the $700 price is just too steep. I’m sure I’m working with less of a budget than most. But I feel if an RC looks worth the price, I have no problem investing the money. I recently was blessed enough to pick up the outcast 4s V2 and that thing is crazy fast. And to me was well worth the $469 price. Maybe it’s just me, but when I watch reviews on the 6s line, they don’t look much faster than the 4s line sometimes. Again, maybe it’s just me 😂 But the outcast is priced about $230 less than the new BR6. And I feel the outcast had a really reasonable price. This was a great video as all of yours are. Anyone can do videos where they ramp the thing to the moon until it breaks. But what I absolutely love about your reviews is that you REALLY delve into the specifics and technical aspects of the vehicle so guys like me can truly understand what it is I’m getting, and make an informed purchase. 🙌🏼
I liked the Nero big rock. To bad Traxxas sued them, the "diffbrain" was cool lockable\unlockabke by remote front center rear diffs... And cantelever suspension
There are only three channels that I base my decision on purchase of RC (Major Companies) and you are one of them. Thank you for the honest review of the performance of the Big Rock 6s. I have watched the channels that have done a unboxing and review on the Big Rock. For the body to be 7 ounces heavier than the FireTeam a bigger pinion gear would be awesome for air control (especially out of the box). Thank you for the information💯💯💯
I feel like it's an expectation thing... for big sends you have the Kraton, for nimble handling you have the fireteam.. i think this truck purpose is to be.. a truck, massive, powerfull and imposing. i think that having bad handling just makes it more like a truck :)
I have always been a fan of remote control (RC) cars, and my latest addition to my collection is the Arrma Mojave car. From the moment I got my hands on it, I have been nothing but impressed with its performance. The way that my Arrma drives is simply incredible, and I want to share with you why I believe this RC car is one of the best on the market. The first thing that struck me about my Arrma is the quality of its construction. The materials used in its assembly are of a high standard, and it is clear that attention to detail has been paid in every aspect of its design. This gives me confidence that my Arrma will stand up to the rigors of off-road driving, and it certainly has not disappointed me in this regard. In conclusion, my Arrma drives very good and has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Its high-quality construction, impressive speed and power, exceptional handling, and stylish design make it a top-tier RC car. I am thoroughly impressed with the performance of my Arrma and would highly recommend it to any RC car enthusiast looking for an exhilarating driving experience.
I've had fun with my Fireteam. However, when I run it back to back with the Kraton V5(identical power system), the drawbacks of that 7th scale weight becomes apparent.
It’s definitely more than just a body thrown on the Fireteam. The driving experience is completely different than the Fireteam. Arrma really did a great job with this along with all the other new releases this year.
I liked the fireteam ok but I had alot of heat issues with the body and the body was heavy , limiting air control so seeing similar issues with the big rock is a red flag. The scaled parts here and there were neat but they are starting to focus too much on it sacrificing the bash element. The main claim. Don't just bash blast. And it's interesting to release the new exb weeks after this and introduce a new servo saver that could have been on the bigrock. And the price is probably the final nail in the coffin. I love arrma. I might be borderline fan boy lol but these things are making it hard. And the prices are getting worse and worse. 700 bucks for a rtr is a bit extreme. I don't wanna pay for the body that is going to be a limiting factor
Couple suggestions for ya. Put on the Fireteam tires, up the pinion 👍 Try to find some dry grass. I know it’s tough this time of year, I deal with the same issues. The tires were just spinning at the soccer field and the change in elevation is tough for landings. I have the same ramps and do really similar jumps. High speed, long low jumps. Would love to see another video! I can’t wait to get mine, I got red as well 🤩
with some tuning for bashing its gonna be a beast an yes that power system isnt made for 1/7th scale hobbywing max6 combo would be great hopefully i can get one an really bash it
Great honest review & hopefully Arrma see it too. But yeah, the Fireteam was an Arrma high water mark & I'm glad your original review on that pushed me to get one :)
Yeah, I absolutely loved how the Fireteam drove. The body even grew on me. This truck is good too. I showed a range driving with it and for general bashing, I think people will have a lot of fun with it.
Good review . It's really nice . The body in red looks great with the extra reinforcement . Love my Fireteam and Big Rock . Which I modded to 6S on the second day . LOL
cant believe at this price point no avc thats ridiculous. I wonder if the receiver has it because I have the dxc5 transmitter. I installed the avc receiver with the dx5c its much better in the dirt
Great review as always, I really regret not getting the first gen bigrock crewcab that came with the light blue body. Would love to find a brand new one of those.
Nice review as always. I appreciate your honesty and demonstrating the weaknesses and shortcomings of these trucks. I am going to hold off for a bit on this one. Probably the Kraton 6s EXB RTR and 8s V2 RTR EXB. This does looks amazing. I just don’t want to have to dump money into it for upgrades.
Beautiful looking truck. It's almost too nice looking to bash. The fifth wheel hitch looks like it might be functional. I wonder ? Overall the car looks extremely solid. I'm glad spectrum dumped the orange color on the ESC. Great job covering everything. You always do a professional job and provide great information.
New tires and a pinion gear isn’t that bad and I bet it’ll make it a super fun truck for like $50 bucks. Been in the hobby for a long time and rarely have ever had an RC NOT need at least $50 in it to make it run right lol
M2C RACING chassis, shock standoffs, piston kit and shock towers. Hobbywing esc, high speed fans and high torque servo. Install 15 tooth pinion. Then it's gtg. Oh and it probably needs the diffs tuned if not replaced with the lsd ones.
I'm guessing there's a lot of people out there looking for a realistic looking crew cab truck they can rip around. Not a kraton or maxx, but a realistic truck that rips like one. If you want a badass, super fast truck to just rip around I think this is probably the best option out.
I appreciate the work they did on the body, but i dont want a body im worried about scuffing up while im driving. And how much does that body increase the cost of the truck?
I bet with some Copperhead 2's you could get more control in the air. The Big Rock 3s's tires were obviously similar to these and they being smaller than the others always made it hard to correct in the air. Going up in pinion with bigger tires will most likely create more heat in that motor so people have to be aware of that also :) I like the truck but almost everything out the box needs SOMETHING haha
Awesome review and bash Brother 👊. Loved the construction site footage!!! You affirmed my 2 concerns with the wheels and body. They look great appearance wise, but.... 🤔. Why are they still using adjustable camber links on bashers? The adjustable camber links should be an optional addon. The turnbuckles are the cause of many problems on these arrma vehicles. They arent being used to race.
Weight is a problem with these bigger vehicles. More weight = more impact when landing = more damage. It's hard to make anything larger than 1/8 scale that can take consistent and repeated jumping abuse.
Random question but where Is your Jeep truck? I'm not sure I'm sold on It...I love the look but that's about It honestly! Maybe could use It as a puller
@@rcdriver gotcha. Also that comment was for the Big Rock not your Jeep. So far every review I have watched so far said the same thing you did. The rear feels like no traction and the tires are not really meant for the truck.

Should have tried to revive the nero line somehow than making a 6s version bigrock who is just a fireteam with some exb diffs that is very nice but on the other hand its expensive snd drives like a rock. With the longer wheel base it's not going to be an aerial stunt truck and if it doesn't drive as well as the fire team it seems to me like this model is kinda homeless . Good review thanks
I think people are a bit deceived by the wide angle lens on my camera. The hill isn’t that crazy and is sloped making it a good lander. Its comparable to the big jumps I’d send cars off of at the BMX track I used to use. It’s not a stunt truck, but simply getting some air time with it shouldn’t be out of the question. That said it is a good truck, just needs a few tweaks for those drivers looking to push it.
Really disliked the Fireteam body. It would have looked great as an RZR, but adding 4 drivers with guns and giving it a Halo look, just looked like junk. This new Big Rock looks amazing.
It’s is good looking but for the 700 price tag it shoulda been all exb. Just not worth that price. I love my arrmas but man they are going full Traxxas Mode with these prices now.
They’ve been blowing out kratons and notorious on Amazon for a month now so I’m sure there’s more coming down the pipe. Unless you’re a “need to have the newest” type of person, a discounted kraton will put a bigger smile on your face than this. 1/10 big Rock is probably the toughest rc I have. My son literally beats his and it rarely dies

I love my arrmas but man they are going full Traxxas
Mode with these prices now.
My friend Al who has been seen on the channel has my 3S Big Rock and he drives the heck out of it and it keeps coming back for more. Awesome truck
Only disappointment they didn’t make it AN EXB like. The new kraton
Interesting that like MSM you don’t actually feel it’s a great jumper, over prone to nose diving.
If they would have geted out the plugs. Would be 100% stealth
There just missing molded wheel wells
