  • The new Arrma Big Rock 6S 4x4 BLX found here: bit.ly/3R54RAR has been the talk amongst the basher crowd. There’s serious love for the Big Rock 3S so the 6S has to be way better right? We’ll see! It has a highly detailed body, a platform similar to the Fireteam and a few other changes that Greg will go over in this video. Then the driving portion will show what this truck can do and put up with, or not put up with.

    I have to give you major props for this review. At times I have been left with the impression that you were unwilling to say anything negative about the products you review. I understand the negative impact a bad review can have on your relationship with manufacturers. Thank you for your candor. I love Arrma products and teething problems are normal with new products. I hope Arrma understands they won't be able to make their products better without honest feedback and also if they were encouraging of such feedback that the community would embrace them - much like Elon Musk with his videos when his rockets fail. We understand and we love the hobby. Things are going to break. It's just part of the hobby. No matter how much you test preproduction you can't anticipate what's going to happen what will happen when your products are released "in the wild". It's a gorgeous truck. Thanks Arrma for another cool vehicle.

    all you gotta do is change stock tyres to backflips or mx38...and change shock collar heights (7mm front-14mm rear etc.) and make sure you also update esc software, once thats all done its one of the most fun RC's you will ever drive.

    There are only three channels that I base my decision on purchase of RC (Major Companies) and you are one of them. Thank you for the honest review of the performance of the Big Rock 6s. I have watched the channels that have done a unboxing and review on the Big Rock. For the body to be 7 ounces heavier than the FireTeam a bigger pinion gear would be awesome for air control (especially out of the box). Thank you for the information💯💯💯

  • @nickteele169
    @nickteele169 9 месяцев назад +6

    I liked the fireteam ok but I had alot of heat issues with the body and the body was heavy , limiting air control so seeing similar issues with the big rock is a red flag. The scaled parts here and there were neat but they are starting to focus too much on it sacrificing the bash element. The main claim. Don't just bash blast. And it's interesting to release the new exb weeks after this and introduce a new servo saver that could have been on the bigrock. And the price is probably the final nail in the coffin. I love arrma. I might be borderline fan boy lol but these things are making it hard. And the prices are getting worse and worse. 700 bucks for a rtr is a bit extreme. I don't wanna pay for the body that is going to be a limiting factor

  • @BobPavlow
    @BobPavlow 9 месяцев назад +1

    Since this thing dropped I’ve thought it looked awesome in all the reviews. But to be honest, in my humble opinion, I feel the $700 price is just too steep. I’m sure I’m working with less of a budget than most. But I feel if an RC looks worth the price, I have no problem investing the money. I recently was blessed enough to pick up the outcast 4s V2 and that thing is crazy fast. And to me was well worth the $469 price. Maybe it’s just me, but when I watch reviews on the 6s line, they don’t look much faster than the 4s line sometimes. Again, maybe it’s just me 😂 But the outcast is priced about $230 less than the new BR6. And I feel the outcast had a really reasonable price. This was a great video as all of yours are. Anyone can do videos where they ramp the thing to the moon until it breaks. But what I absolutely love about your reviews is that you REALLY delve into the specifics and technical aspects of the vehicle so guys like me can truly understand what it is I’m getting, and make an informed purchase. 🙌🏼

    The 1/7’s to me are that awkward in-between where they don’t have the 8S systems of the 1/6’s, and don’t have the durability of the 1/8’s. You could put a 8S system in it, but how long will the 1/8 size driveline handle it. Cool looking body, but otherwise I’m not sure what’s under it has me sold

    I've had fun with my Fireteam. However, when I run it back to back with the Kraton V5(identical power system), the drawbacks of that 7th scale weight becomes apparent.

    Couple suggestions for ya. Put on the Fireteam tires, up the pinion 👍 Try to find some dry grass. I know it’s tough this time of year, I deal with the same issues. The tires were just spinning at the soccer field and the change in elevation is tough for landings. I have the same ramps and do really similar jumps. High speed, long low jumps. Would love to see another video! I can’t wait to get mine, I got red as well 🤩

    I have always been a fan of remote control (RC) cars, and my latest addition to my collection is the Arrma Mojave car. From the moment I got my hands on it, I have been nothing but impressed with its performance. The way that my Arrma drives is simply incredible, and I want to share with you why I believe this RC car is one of the best on the market.
    The first thing that struck me about my Arrma is the quality of its construction. The materials used in its assembly are of a high standard, and it is clear that attention to detail has been paid in every aspect of its design. This gives me confidence that my Arrma will stand up to the rigors of off-road driving, and it certainly has not disappointed me in this regard.
    In conclusion, my Arrma drives very good and has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Its high-quality construction, impressive speed and power, exceptional handling, and stylish design make it a top-tier RC car. I am thoroughly impressed with the performance of my Arrma and would highly recommend it to any RC car enthusiast looking for an exhilarating driving experience.

    Weight is a problem with these bigger vehicles. More weight = more impact when landing = more damage. It's hard to make anything larger than 1/8 scale that can take consistent and repeated jumping abuse.

  • @RUZTY1311
    @RUZTY1311 9 месяцев назад

    I bet with some Copperhead 2's you could get more control in the air. The Big Rock 3s's tires were obviously similar to these and they being smaller than the others always made it hard to correct in the air. Going up in pinion with bigger tires will most likely create more heat in that motor so people have to be aware of that also :) I like the truck but almost everything out the box needs SOMETHING haha

    Seems kind of redundant almost like another Kraton. It would be cool if it was solid axles.

      Sold the Jeep. On the hunt for something new and a little more fuel efficient now that I have to drive much farther to bash, drive and film.

      @@rcdriver gotcha. Also that comment was for the Big Rock not your Jeep. So far every review I have watched so far said the same thing you did. The rear feels like no traction and the tires are not really meant for the truck.

    Really disliked the Fireteam body. It would have looked great as an RZR, but adding 4 drivers with guns and giving it a Halo look, just looked like junk. This new Big Rock looks amazing.

    Should have tried to revive the nero line somehow than making a 6s version bigrock who is just a fireteam with some exb diffs that is very nice but on the other hand its expensive snd drives like a rock. Like the original NERO bigrock out of the box. They used 20lb springs and 3k fluid in it☠. Now running 100wt with kraton v5 spring front and rear more precisely. Suspension is a masterpiece like it should have always been

    • @DannoKrueger420
      @DannoKrueger420 9 месяцев назад

      nah. I cant stand cantilever suspension in RCs. The revo was the biggest turd ever and hard to work on. The nero was better but awfful to wrench on. Id rather not remove over 20 screws evertime i need to change a part.

    • @EXTREMERC416
      @EXTREMERC416 9 месяцев назад

      @@DannoKrueger420 it takes A few screws to remove the front or rear arm and the diff. The only thing that needs a bit more screws is the Center module. In my 6s BLX. Specially the on road cars i need to remove ton of things around the gearbox to be able to remove the diff. Nero diffs are easier and quicker to work on. Gearbox straight up comes out of the car and can be cleaner proprely. If i want to do that to my exb kraton i have to remove the whole rear end remove the arms, the shock towers a paintful nightmare and time consuming. If i have to remove the bulkhead im in for a terrible time. Add Grease and holes not lining up perfectly Into the mix. I seal my gearboxes with grease from the inside to try and prevent grime and stuff to get in. Because if stuff get in a probably 2h job can turn into a day

      Agreed.
      If you’re going to Duperbash send it, you better be M2C-ing it. Don’t launch a non-EXB rated RTR 100ft through the air nine times, never get a clean landing, and then complain when you come home with some slight bends.
      Complaints or critiques about the wheel nuts, tire compounds, handling, etc.are more valid and useful.

    With the longer wheel base it's not going to be an aerial stunt truck and if it doesn't drive as well as the fire team it seems to me like this model is kinda homeless . Good review thanks

    • @rcdriver
      @rcdriver  10 месяцев назад +1

      I think people are a bit deceived by the wide angle lens on my camera. The hill isn’t that crazy and is sloped making it a good lander. Its comparable to the big jumps I’d send cars off of at the BMX track I used to use. It’s not a stunt truck, but simply getting some air time with it shouldn’t be out of the question. That said it is a good truck, just needs a few tweaks for those drivers looking to push it.

    They’ve been blowing out kratons and notorious on Amazon for a month now so I’m sure there’s more coming down the pipe. Unless you’re a “need to have the newest” type of person, a discounted kraton will put a bigger smile on your face than this.
