    A beautiful knife! Just the right size for ease of handling and getting leverage with the handle size. I like blades that are a little thinner as they seem to perform better when skinning and cutting meat. 👍👍

      Thank you, sir!
      Indeed thinner blades usually have less resistance for slicing. But sometimes a more agressive edge geometry can compensate that!

    Beautiful work. Looks like you soldered the bolster? Is the bolster 416 stainless or nickel silver? Thank you.

    • @DDynia
      @DDynia  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes it is soldered, the guard is 1020 carbon steel

      Soldering bolsters takes a lot of skill to get a nice joint with no holes or porosity. Would be nice to see a video sometime. Thanks.

    Ножны с ремешком - отстой. Из таких нож потеряется при первом же выходе в угодья. Только погружные на свободном подвесе сохранят этот чудесный нож от потери. Удачи!

    The only thing l would do different would be to add a hole in the rear for a leather thong.

    So you have a forge and still waste material doing the stock removal method?!? Why? Be original, forge to shape. There are literally thousands of stock removal vids and they are all the same. Stand out from the crowd is best for success. You have the grinding skills, now work on those forging skills. Neil Kamimura has tons of vids on how to forge to shape a chefs knife, kukri and several other vids.

      I grind most of my knives because it's more cost and time efficient. Even though steel is wasted it is still cheaper than propane here in Brazil. But I have plans to forge some stuff in the near future
