The point is it's not all men that are creeps, but it's all women that have had a negative experience with some men. A lot of women would rather be killed by a bear trying to survive by it than having to live on with their life knowing that they were r'ped by a man. A bear is obviously stronger than a man, but atleast you evade the chance of being kidnapped and being trafficked for the rest of your life or any other bad scenario. A bear?, he is hungry he won't leave you with the same trauma as being sa'ed. In Finland the same debate is going on since 15yo girl got rap*d and killed in woods while ago. Maybe those women would rather get just killed by bear than first have to go through sexual assault and then be killed anyways. Finnish bears most likely escapes before you even notice them UNLESS they have something to protect. If u meet man in forest the odds are already against you since you are alone and i think most men in forests are old with their alpha mindset and maybe with a gun. I always hated this debate and I’m surprised it’s still a thing over a month later. Apparently according to the women the point of this debate was for men to be “empathetic” and “do better” but from what we’ve seen it’s just them projecting and showing bitter distain towards men and generalizing them which is just causing more of a divide.

But sadly in this case this isn’t a small percentage of men who are dangerous and you can’t compare gold diggers to rapists. According to the us department of justice 97% of men are responsible for the rape and assault cases in America and that’s not a small percentage of men. It’s truly a scary place for women to be. I couldn’t even deliver pharmacy drugs at my own job because my town is so high on the crime towards women I had a high chance of being assaulted while out on the job. The average man will not hurt you or harm you in any way. What you encountered is a black bear which are less aggressive than grizzly bears and tend to stay away from humans. The argument for this "trend" is a grizzly bear. Grizzly bears will attack you if you play dead as you look like a free, fresh meal. I understand SOME men can be dangerous and it is important to know who you're around, but with these questions being so broad, it's unfair for good, men to be jumbled up in the same category as the scum of society. If the question was would you rather be with a rapist in the woods or a bear in the woods, it could get more complicated, as you'd have to pick between life or death (Which I think is an easy answer but to each their own I suppose).

women are aware of what a bear can do to them but 9/10 times they don't really attack you unless provoked, with men there's uncertainty you don't know every mans intentions and women from a young age are taught to be cautious around men. Having negative experiences with men or seeing it online or irl can cause a bad perception too, however, I do think the heated gender debate on social media has made it worse and most of the time its overexaggerated but for me seeing red pill stuff over the year has made me start to have a negative perception of men too.

@@andrewlatoucheee5324Nope, I go on long canoe trips into the Canadian wilderness every summer for 3 months. Our group actually encounters bears quite a bit, and we have been fine. Most of the time, they will mind their business if you are minding your business. If it has come into a closer proximity and stared approaching us, we have made a ton of noise, and it gets scared away.

As someone who has encounterd a bear before I can confirm that it is much better to see a man than a bear.

My uncle got attacked by a bear almost a year ago, he needed more than 10 surgeries. I’ve talked to him multiple times since then, he is got ptsd, he told me that he felt like his soul left his body when the bear cracked his skull… It’s crazy how people talk about things they didn’t even experienced(like me rn, but you get the point) ….
and the whole play dead or fight back doesn’t work. If it’s a mom bear with her children nothing is gonna stop her from killing someone(my uncle doesn’t even know how he survived, he told me that from the point where the bear cracked his skull to the point where he arrived to the hospital is completely blank for him)

i chose bear because i would rather be killed by a bear than touched by a man. i do understand how men feel about this because it's putting down their gender, but on the other hand, men don't understand a women's mindset. the trend is highlighting the idea of "all men", but that's exactly true. enough women have been sa'd by a man for women to fear being alone with them. from the age 5-17 (how old i am now) i have experienced being sa'd by multiple different men and i would rather be in the woods with a bear than a man because the feeling of being sa'd. it's something that no one can understand unless you have gone through it. after being in the woods with a bear, i won't think about it every night whereas is i was in the woods with a man and got potentially sa'd it would be a lot more traumatic.

My problem with this debate it's that it shouldn't be one because most people do not know how to properly interact with a bear and can barely interact with dogs. The only people who should choose a bear are people who interact with nature and have been around bears. I know for a fact that people choosing the bear will trigger it to kill or harm them.

You basically end up being a toy to the bear as they bite you, smash you, and claw at your all while you are alive until they get bored. And then youll lie there until you die with one of your arms missing, and your legs barely connected to your body with chunks missing all over from the clawing and biting.

As a dude, me personally would rather be with a bear, because another man could be 18 to 100+ years old any possible job position or skill set, not to mention if their also brave in the face of danger or cowering behind WiFi and A.C. If a woman runs across a predatory man in the woods, she has a better chance of survival: she could outrun him, she could hide, she could use makeshift weapons, or maybe even set up traps. With a bear however, there's just no chance with any of that, it's extremely unlikely that she'd be able to outrun the bear, hide from the bear's keen sense of smell and tracking, or put up a fight whatsoever.

The logic isn't there though: as a woman you are more able to defend yourself against a man than a bear. Bear's are probably statistically more likely to attack than the average man, although there is no real way to quantify this.
