I’m a young black female and Luckily these women do not influence all of us. My lunch is $15 dollars at Sweetgreen. $30 is more than enough for a lunch. Men sending money in general is a kind gesture and should not be discredited.
My wife makes over 6 figures a year, and brings her own lunch to work. 100 bucks a day on lunch would be like 3 bands a month, if you make 100k a year that's 7k a month after taxes, you gonna spend damn near half your income on lunch, foh!

I spent $35 on lunch for me, my mother, and my dad and we ate heavy as hell. $100 would have been even better still since I could eat EVEN MORE FOOD!!! But $35 was perfect and we had drinks too. I think the traditional values of a man being a provider has overtime become misconstrued and manipulated in such a way that this is the result. I always used to understand the concept of a man being the provdier in a family setting, it would make sense because the woman stays home and raises the kids while the father brings in income which allows the mom to continue her duty, thats how it works in tandem.
