I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

Wow, I didn't expect such a great result from the Noir Allure mascara. It looks fabulous on you, Charlotte! I'm a big Chanel fan, but It's wallet-wringingly expensive here (*$55 Canadian*😮) , so I can't see myself parting with so much cash any time soon. I do love the luxe packaging, the unique pop-up mechanism, and the brush which allows such good definition without clumps. Sigh. I may end up trying it out as a special treat to myself some time...🙄

Sadly Chanel is reducing the amount of product while raising the price of their items ☹️. I love them though!

Every company seems to be cutting corners. I believe even potato chips are sliced thinner than they used to be.
it looks gorgeous the mac stack gives me volume but tons of clumps and my lashes stick together this i may need to try
I have just ordered it and am worried it will run as I do have watery eyes but love the look and I would not use it every day , thank you for the review you look stunning 😊

Honestly, I wipe off the wands before I stick them back in, so they don’t add bacteria & lash mite, or add half dry product to the fresh tube liquid
BUT I do that with €8-15 mascaras…

Lovely result but I almost choked on my tea when you said the price 😳.....and only 6ml......swerving this one like a swervy thing.
And maybe we have to rethink the amount of a mascara when so little on the brush makes such a big impact?

Stunning but at 42.00 USD I can only imagine the price here in 🇨🇦. Too rich for my budget.
So I have 2 issues . first the price vs the amount your getting. I'm not really pleased with that but if it's magical I'll pay BUT second, when I unscrew the top of any mascara I always wipe the excess off back into the tube. Is that possible with the pop up lid?? It looks nice but I'm thinking I need to wait and research my issues 😉

I didn't curl my lashes but I very rarely do that as mine are naturally curly x

Love this mascara on you! I’m also super relieved because I just picked it up at Nordstrom’s on Saturday and I haven’t had a chance to use it yet. It’s $42 in the US, just in case any Americans are wondering. I told my friend at the Chanel counter “I have the shortest, straightest lashes EVER” and she said that I’d love this mascara so here’s my fingers crossed! 🤞❤️

This looks fantastic on you and seems like a great mascara, but at £37 for 6g I'm afraid it's an easy pass for me.
beautiful packaging, love the push up mechanism. I am basically a one coat person now (I'm a senior), and I loved the effect you got with just the one coat, with 3, looked like you had false eyelashes on it was so complete a coverage! I would definitely be in line to purchase if I wore a lot of mascara like I used to when I was working. Loved the fact the brush wasn't gooped up with mascara also, I always have to scrape the brush against the inside edge to get the extra mascara that usually leads to clumping off. This one looks fabulous against that. UPDATE: Got a sample size of this mascara and LOVED IT!! My eyelashes are not thick, so normal mascara's tend to make my eyelashes either clumpy or like spider legs. This was fabulous, separated them, and altho I applied just 2 coats and didn't go down from the top, my eyelashes looked wonderful! I have been using Chanel Le Volume mascara, Noir Allure is SO much better!
Looks really good on you, it does everything that I want in a mascara, but the price, holy wow that is expensive.
It's very expensive for such a small amount, and a product that definitely needs a sample size to try first. It's very chic with the push up mechanism. Very Chanel.

Do you remember about 30 years ago (no, because you're all babies in my eyes) when an extra black pigment was allowed in cosmetics?
It's the reason why mascaras today still use the epithet extra, mega and super black.

Want, BUT I won’t pay that. I’ll buy €100 powders & creams, but I won’t pay big bucks for mascara. NOPE I’ll buy Bourjois or Sky High. MAYBE I will buy Dior or Lancôme lash once a year. But Chanel is just ratfucking us at that price point.
There is ZERO REASON to halve the volume & charge MORE than everyone else
Pity I’ve already purchased Le Volume mascara. It’s been my favourite for a long time but now I’m craving for this😢
I bought this based on your review but it is awful. It really smudges badly, looks a bit flaky/clumpy from the start and doesn't lift as well as Le Volume. I can't even bring myself to use it again, will try to return.
I don’t mind the smaller amount of mascara. I only use one coat because my eyelashes are already fairly long and black. I also never, ever keep a mascara longer than three months. All considered, this will probably work well for me.

Wow what a beautiful product! I really thought you had tightline on that first coat. I can’t believe the fill size is so small. That’s a deterrent for me but I’ll probably pick it up anyway! Great video. Your eyes are beautiful!

Love your thorough review! To say I am tempted to buy this is an understatement. I don't wear mascara every day and I quite like the look you achieved with just one coat! Because of the price I would love to try it out first though.

I once had the Chanel intimitable waterproof mascara and it was really good. Sadly Chanel is too pricey for mascaras, so I changed to Lancome Monsieur Big Waterproof. That creates me lashes that look like falsies. I have also a more affordable favorite, Maybelline Lash sensational waterproof. It is really good too. I have to wear waterproof mascaras because my eyes melt all non-waterproof ones within 30 minutes, and I don't even wear it on my lower lashes!
Really like this mascara on you. I wish I had waited and bought this one. I had "le volume" from Chanel and it was okay. I have recently bought "le volume stretch" from Chanel and it is aweful! It won the first place in 'the worst mascara I've ever used' category. It's everythere on my face and in my eyes and the brush is uncomfortable to use especially on lower lashes. Do not recommend le volume stretch but this one is sth to explore.

I have to say, I rarely buy a full size anymore, because even the little travel sizes do a great job and I can use them up til the very end before they dry out or get clumpy. And I use mascara EVERY day. It's my makeup item I couldn't live without.

This mascara looks GORGEOUS on you. Not sure if it’s worth the price if it’s going to be gone after just a couple uses. But it IS stunning.

Too expensive, sticking with the Caliray and the Maybeliline Sky High, if you have not tried them to compare you should. Great video!
It's absolutely stunning, but the price/volume makes it not for me. Lol I go through a Mac mascara in about 3 months so this would be extremely costly for me.
I like the brush but for the small amount of product you get, I'm not sure I will be purchasing. In the US we have friends and family sale for 15 percent off, maybe it will be worth purchasing then.
Unless this "stunning component" is refillable, it's going in the trash in a week or two.
l wouldn't splurge on Chanel mascara.
Do you think it is a secure enough of a container to keep it from drying out? Maybe that’s why there is so little product 😂😅 I like the container for my arthritic hands but the price and amount of product is a bit off putting. Do you use a lash fortifier of some kind?

I had the drugstore version before, the Maybelline Snapscara in "black cherry" and liked it. Could you compare these two? It's not that easily available anymore, but much cheaper.

To me, this is a pass for now. I can't justify the expense because a have a few that I love, that cost way, way less.

It's €45 in NL, so it's a pass. Also I developed a sensitivity to the Inimitable, which was my favorite mascara EVER up to that point, and am kind of afraid that may happen again.

The finish of this mascara just after one coat is exactly what I look for for everyday which is nice since you get so little product for the price.🤨 I love long, defined and fluttery lashes! :) I like to add more drama for special occasions, but I don't need any more drama during school drop-off in the morning!😏 Unfortunately, I will be passing because I'd rather buy a new pair of jeans or shoes for $42......though I would definitely find that push and click mechanism to be so very satisfying!!

This is the most expensive mascara I've ever wanted but it looks amazing! I love the wand as someone with hooded eyes but long lashes and no matter what I always tend to get a few smudges on my lids. I'm def gonna give it a go. I treated myself to their foundation recently and I can see how they're such a staple brand for us. Looks amazing on you! Thank you for the review.

I bought this mascara today. I loved that it's retractable which is wow! Great that it isn't waterproof since that's a struggle for me to remove

I'm not sure about this - looks intriguing and I love the results you achieved with it Charlotte, but I prefer brown mascara. Is the hint of red enough to soften the black colour and make it less intense looking than other black ones?
The difference is very slight colour wise x

Great review! I think I will give this mascara a try. I never finish tubes of mascara before it’s time to toss them (I’m more of a one coat kind of a gal), and so having less product isn’t really an issue for me. The way the component prevents clumps on the wand is a major selling point for me as are the lack of smudging and flaking. I don’t have oily eyelids, but I have horrible under eye circles, and I think the makeup I use to cover them can cause many mascaras that seem to work for others to give me raccoon eyes. I don’t apply mascara directly to my lower lashes and just gently blink it on from the upper ones instead. Really hoping this won’t run on me!
