I immediately had to look it up because I thought maybe it was a fiber mascara and I just didn’t realize it. Maybe I’m the only one or maybe it’s just an inferior formula. For a quick meal (since you were hungry) I discovered meal replacement shakes by OWYN. They are vegan, gluten free, dairy free, low sugar, and have protein. They save me on crazy days when I have to skip eating. I was tickled when I saw your hands. Until last night I had those new Chanel nail colors in a different shade on every finger. They look different on the hand than they do in the bottles. Last night I switched them all to Singularite. I ended up with several shades, like I did with the lipsticks. So many are so wearable. It's annoying that they are Limited Edition. I have a beef with Chanel about that. Thanks for the video!💚
For me the allure mascara worked so nice with my lashes compared to other mascara, there was no clumps and I found that I didn’t need to reapply regularly.
I was left waiting for you to show the nail polishes now that you had them on your nails. And it seems like you got some additional ones? They all look lovely.
I wonder if the mascara's packaging lacks a " effective seal" causing the contents to be continually exposed to the outside elements. The click design may cause the contents to dry out and not perform well.
@@ErinNicoleTV I tried the mascara, and I'm disappointed with it. Difficult to build volume, and you're absolutely right about the patchy application. I find the mascara a bit on the dry side. Chanel's Le Volume mascara is much better. My go to mascara is Dior Pump 'n Volume and the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl.

I think the clumping of the mascara wouldn’t have been so dramatic if you hadn’t been so quick to keep applying. One usually lets a coat dry before going in and putting more on, it’s like you saw a problem and wanted it to fail. Pounds to pennies if you did that with your favourite mascaras you’d get spider legs as well.
I don’t know why I would want it to fail after spending $42?! That makes no sense. I apply mascara exactly the same way with every formula, the problem is that the actual mascara was flaky before I even applied it. I think it has to do with the seal because it applied like an old mascara would. I’ve used it a few times now with the same result, I just don’t like it. Le volume and inimitable intense are much better in my opinion, but of course you are free to buy and enjoy.
Charlotte Holdcroft and Jamie Paige both seemed to really liked the mascara, so hearing a different opinion is so helpful to me. From my perspective, the mascara looked pretty on you but if it's not your preference then it's not your preference.

Imitable Intense is my favorite mascara from Chanel. And that is exactly what I thought about this new mascara, that they are just alike. I noticed with the new mascara that it is a very wet formula when I first applied it. So I did what I normally do with wet mascaras and do one quick coat to separate the lashes. Then wait a minute, then build the next coat to add volume. I hate trying to layer wet layer on top of wet layer. It didn’t flake or smudge either, which I love. I like the palette, but I am torn if I want to keep it. I really dislike maroons and reds. I was hoping that maroon kind of color would lean more purple. A good friend of mine loves Chanel makeup too and used up a whole jar of Sublimage foundation. Her complaint was how pale it made her look (she wears B30 too). I think that foundation looks heavy and ages the skin.
Hi Erin, Thank you so much for your honest review! I just received my palette and the mascara and immediately went to try it on. I have to say that the mascara box arrived open and the handle was popped up already which was worrying! I tried it on and after just one coat I could see, for lack of a better word, the little balls of mascara all over my lashes and also thought they were fibers, but they're not. It's also quite clumpy even with just one coat. I went through my lashes with a lash comb but could not get rid of the little balls of mascara on each lash. I did a few more coats on just the underside of my lashes but it only got worse. So disappointing! 😔
Could you please list the nail polish colors on your fingers please? I am enjoying the ombre type look and am wanting to choose a nail polish color from the collection but the colors on the chanel website I am sure, are not as realistic as in person. Thank you!

I think you look beautiful, the colors really make your blue eyes pop. I have much respect for getting home with the products and filming the try-on cold, and putting it up here. I received the mascara as a sample and I loved it so much. I think the way you applied it wasn’t ideal. You went back a forth in a weird way (sorry I’ve never seen mascara being applied like that) and you kept building it up. I didn’t do that and it looked amazing, no clumps whatsoever… I know it’s subjective but maybe try a different application?

I noticed the Volume Revolution sample I received has a clumpy formula. It made a mess when I put the sample wand back in the tube. The Gucci mascara is the best, and definitely a different formula, but more difficult to remove than the Pillow Talk mascara. I am waiting for my new Chanel eyeshadow and mascara to arrive. I am nervous now after your review!😳 Maybe the Chanel is a one coat and done? Oh no! I always do many coats of the other mascaras. I wish you had used the blue eyeliner.🐩🐩🐩

wow this was so hilarious to watch u complain about the clumpy lashes because personally i liked the clumpy lashes on you rather than what u like. so im def getting this mascara i love a bold mascara look. the packaging got me too. also the eye look u created with the palette grew on me. when u were talking about the mascara i just couldnt stop noticing how good that eyeshadow looked. im still not sure if im getting the palette though. but i enjoyed the video!
I absolutely love the mascara! I’m sad u didn’t 😌 I used to love the volume, I tried charlottes and wasn’t crazy about it, I don’t have long lashes like you and mine are blonde so this mascara really works for me! I’m sad to hear it’s limited edition! It’s pricey but I’m going to buy more if it is! I too put the mascara on top of the lashes first then I go underneath because u can see the blonde! Love the expressive thumbnail, Erin! 😆 Thanks for the detailed honest review on the mascara. I have tried a deluxe sample version of it and the sample has the classic twist case so I didn’t experience any clumping. Maybe it actually has to so with the packaging here. However, the formula didn’t work for my straight lashes as it uncurled my curled lashes. Plus I always detect the same smell (cinnamon or dried up saliva) from all Chanel mascaras and find it off putting 🥲
I love this fall collection especially the lipsticks! Last time I bought the loose powder, and Im wondering which number you are using. Normally Im between B20-B30 as foundation and I bought the loose powder in shade 30.. is that too dark for me?

Well, I have the Gucci mascara now in a cart!! 😂 maybe it’s me, but eyeshadows are not wowing me lately. Everything looks the same. BUT I love the shade on the eyeliner. That interested me the most. I had a tiny metal comb that works great to separate the lashes when the mascara clumps together. I have not try this particular mascara and probably won't. XO
Been waiting for this:) I love eye shadow palette. I don’t like the mascara. For some reason I only like Gucci or chanticalle. I have tried so many? I have great lashes also but is it the brush or formula? Same happened to me. U look gorgeous:) ty for the video
For mascaras, I find you have three main factors effecting outcome. 1) Brush type 2) formula 3) lash length and thickness. For example, on my long thick lashes, tubing mascaras are a nightmare to remove. I have three thick rows on the upper which go in every direction and it takes a long time and lots of rubbing to remove all of the product. On my lower lashes which are a single layer, it's a breeze to remove it and I can see why people like a tubing mascara even though they are not for me. And no matter how much I like a mascara, very few silicone brushes are able to nicely brush through my wild crazy thick top lashes. I end up needing to comb my lashes out with a clean stiff spoolie. The Gucci mascara is an example of a good silicone brush and the formula is on my top three faves. I still need a dry spoolie for separation. Lancome Le 8 Hypnose is my new fave mascara due to not needing a spoolie and leving lashes so soft.
As you said Erin, my question would be: if I have VA foundation, do I need the new complexion touch? My problem with VA is that it sets too quickly and I have to rush during application, but a major plus is that it is nearly transferproof on me. To summarize: can the new complexion touch be the answer to my light-medium coverage needs? Lol 🙏🏼😂🤷🏻♀️ btw I do not like the ultra le teint
I have tried this mascara and a few others from Chanel, and on me they all do the same thing… don’t think it’s the packaging, cause I got mine in a sample tube …mascaras are not their strong product. But I did pick up the eye shadows and love those, lipsticks in new formulas are lovely and loving the nail colours, some of the nudes are so so good
For the Chanel foundation video what SPF sunscreen pairs best with the water fresh tint. Can I use the cc cream Chanel under the water fresh tint foundation. 🥰

You scared me with the thumbnail. I thought the palette was bad. Warm memories is my favorite palette too - thanks to you for showing it during its initial release, I would have completely skipped it as the holiday season was coming to an end and didn’t feel like buying anything. But I’m surprised how close this palette is to warm memories. I am away from home and haven’t seen this palette yet, but because this is LE I rushed and ordered it, now I’m really contemplating keeping this. I have to see though 😒 I think I would love the mascara based on what you showed 😬 I have thin lashes, and I’m impressed with what two coats could do. But you are saying it’s not showing good. That clumpiness with the mascara was happening to me also until I used it with the base mascara....The base mascara adds the volume and the acrual mascara adds length....... Its a lengthening mascara only
I find the sublimage l'essence de teint to be very drying and looks powdery on my dry skin. That’s all I put on + the hydra crème. Any tips? I love love the smell but I’m thinking I’ll have to got back to vitalumiere aqua 😩
I am a big fan of le volume mascara. Noir Allure didn't do this for me, I am not sure if you received something that was open for a while and exposed to air for long enough. What I can tell you is that when my package arrived, the mascara was open, this mascara doesn't stay close, one slight whack and it opens up. This is probably the reason why it did this for you.
Oh interesting! You know what, you're right about that click top. When I buy the Rouge Allure lipsticks, many times the top is popped before I even open the box. xx
Thank you for mentioning the eyeshadows are soft/ muted. I'm more of a Pat McGrath girl, so I know that even though I'm occassionally tempted by Chanel - it's just not for me!
I received a sample of the noir allure mascara I don’t recommend it it flakes terribly :( I used it two days one with La Base and one without don’t waste your money.
Your look came out beautiful 😍 For me Chanel has been so boring and disappointing the last 2-3 years and I have been a Chanel user since 1984! It’s as though they just repeat, repeat, repeat the same colors over and over and when they claim to “improve” the existing favorites they just make them worse not better! I don’t even consider any of their products anymore. I am still using the LE VOLUME DE Chanel Mascara and the Healthy Glow Bronzing Creme but I’m sure if I took some time I could find replacements for both which I plan on doing soon. For the cost, the quality isn’t good - there are better brands out there!!
Was excited for this mascara, now I won’t buy it - thank you! I’ll stick to my favourites, Victoria Beckham for a natural makeup look - the best ever and P McG black star for wa-wa-woom look 😃!
unfortunately mascara always looks like that on me, clumpy, spidery. Just don't have good lashes. It did look really nice on your lower lashes. I want one of the Tweed palettes but will probably be all sold out by the time I get the cash. Saw them all demonstrated on another influencer video. Will skip the mascara, eyeliner. Your look was overall very nice. The blending of all those colors kind of made the gold look like a rose gold in the end.

@ it didn’t smudge and the lashes didn’t loose curl. I still wouldn’t recommend it though, too expensive in my opinion. But a good product, yes

I have tried a deluxe sample version of it and the sample has the classic twist case so I didn’t experience any clumping. Maybe it actually has to so with the packaging here. However, the formula didn’t work for my straight lashes as it uncurled my curled lashes. Plus I always detect the same smell (cinnamon or dried up saliva) from all Chanel mascaras and find it off putting 🥲
I love this fall collection especially the lipsticks! Last time I bought the loose powder, and Im wondering which number you are using. Normally Im between B20-B30 as foundation and I bought the loose powder in shade 30.. is that too dark for me?
This may sound a bit off but I’ve used a small safety pin to separate the lashes when that’s happened before. It’s not the safest choice but it works

Well, I have the Gucci mascara now in a cart!! 😂 maybe it’s me, but eyeshadows are not wowing me lately. Everything looks the same. BUT I love the shade on the eyeliner. That interested me the most. I had a tiny metal comb that works great to separate the lashes when the mascara clumps together. I have not try this particular mascara and probably won't. XO
Been waiting for this:) I love eye shadow palette. I don’t like the mascara. For some reason I only like Gucci or chanticalle. I have tried so many? I have great lashes also but is it the brush or formula? Same happened to me. U look gorgeous:) ty for the video
For mascaras, I find you have three main factors effecting outcome. 1) Brush type 2) formula 3) lash length and thickness. For example, on my long thick lashes, tubing mascaras are a nightmare to remove. I have three thick rows on the upper which go in every direction and it takes a long time and lots of rubbing to remove all of the product. On my lower lashes which are a single layer, it's a breeze to remove it and I can see why people like a tubing mascara even though they are not for me. And no matter how much I like a mascara, very few silicone brushes are able to nicely brush through my wild crazy thick top lashes. I end up needing to comb my lashes out with a clean stiff spoolie. The Gucci mascara is an example of a good silicone brush and the formula is on my top three faves. I still need a dry spoolie for separation. Lancome Le 8 Hypnose is my new fave mascara due to not needing a spoolie and leving lashes so soft.
As you said Erin, my question would be: if I have VA foundation, do I need the new complexion touch? My problem with VA is that it sets too quickly and I have to rush during application, but a major plus is that it is nearly transferproof on me. To summarize: can the new complexion touch be the answer to my light-medium coverage needs? Lol 🙏🏼😂🤷🏻♀️ btw I do not like the ultra le teint

I have tried this mascara and a few others from Chanel, and on me they all do the same thing… don’t think it’s the packaging, cause I got mine in a sample tube …mascaras are not their strong product.
But I did pick up the eye shadows and love those, lipsticks in new formulas are lovely and loving the nail colours, some of the nudes are so so good
For the Chanel foundation video what SPF sunscreen pairs best with the water fresh tint. Can I use the cc cream Chanel under the water fresh tint foundation. 🥰

You scared me with the thumbnail. I thought the palette was bad. Warm memories is my favorite palette too - thanks to you for showing it during its initial release, I would have completely skipped it as the holiday season was coming to an end and didn’t feel like buying anything.
But I’m surprised how close this palette is to warm memories. I am away from home and haven’t seen this palette yet, but because this is LE I rushed and ordered it, now I’m really contemplating keeping this. I have to see though 😒
I think I would love the mascara based on what you showed 😬 I have thin lashes, and I’m impressed with what two coats could do. But you are saying it’s not showing good. I see what you mean for $40-$42, I may not get it, but on camera it looks very nice.

That clumpiness with the mascara was happening to me also until I used it with the base mascara....The base mascara adds the volume and the acrual mascara adds length....... Its a lengthening mascara only

I find the sublimage l'essence de teint to be very drying and looks powdery on my dry skin. That’s all I put on + the hydra crème. Any tips? I love love the smell but I’m thinking I’ll have to got back to vitalumiere aqua 😩

I am a big fan of le volume mascara. Noir Allure didn't do this for me, I am not sure if you received something that was open for a while and exposed to air for long enough. What I can tell you is that when my package arrived, the mascara was open, this mascara doesn't stay close, one slight whack and it opens up. This is probably the reason why it did this for you.
Oh interesting! You know what, you're right about that click top. When I buy the Rouge Allure lipsticks, many times the top is popped before I even open the box. xx

I don't understand making a mascara limited edition.
I received a sample of the noir allure mascara I don’t recommend it it flakes terribly :( I used it two days one with La Base and one without don’t waste your money.

Your look came out beautiful 😍 For me Chanel has been so boring and disappointing the last 2-3 years and I have been a Chanel user since 1984! It’s as though they just repeat, repeat, repeat the same colors over and over and when they claim to “improve” the existing favorites they just make them worse not better! I don’t even consider any of their products anymore. I am still using the LE VOLUME DE Chanel Mascara and the Healthy Glow Bronzing Creme but I’m sure if I took some time I could find replacements for both which I plan on doing soon. For the cost, the quality isn’t good - there are better brands out there!!

Don't you find wide mouth foundation jars are not practical and expose the foundation to too much air. This is an epic packaging fail.
That is why I hate mascara! It’s always a clumpy mess and it never curls my lashes. False lashes are the way to go if you can get the right kind.
If i were you i would return the mascara and say you got an old one. You may right, the closing mechanism may be faulty!
unfortunately mascara always looks like that on me, clumpy, spidery. Just don't have good lashes. It did look really nice on your lower lashes. I want one of the Tweed palettes but will probably be all sold out by the time I get the cash. Saw them all demonstrated on another influencer video. Will skip the mascara, eyeliner. Your look was overall very nice. The blending of all those colors kind of made the gold look like a rose gold in the end.

I purchased this mascara and it’s a hard pass for me. It flakes gives me raccoon eyes…I think drugstore would work better…
