For me, I had a boy first and it was a very easy pregnancy - minimal symptoms. There was a STARK difference with my daughter. I felt all kinds of symptoms immediately like you are describing. Nausea and running out of breath easily were two major ones that were very early on. I definitely had insomnia. My daughter was born with a LOT of hair, and I heard that also causes major nausea, even early. It could very well be that if you are having a girl the female hormones mixing with yours are causing the new intense symptoms.

With my first pregnancy ( a girl ) I thought I had the flu too. I went to the hospital ER & they asked me when my LMP was, I told I’m very irregular so it’s not uncommon for my period to be late. They still did a pregnancy test on me & came back within a few minutes & said that I was pregnant. Symptoms with my first pregnancy was so much more severe because I would vomit no matter what time of day, & that honestly made me feel so much worse.
My second pregnancy, my son, I just had food aversions. I would have nausea but I wouldn’t ever actually vomit. This one time my sons father & I went to a fast food restaurant, before I found out I was pregnant, & I ended up ordering a salad from Burger King & any other time I usually get a burger or chicken nuggets lol. A few days later I woke up & snuck in the bathroom with a digital clear blue pregnancy test & took it.. it said pregnant!
With my daughter I found out later into my pregnancy that I was pregnant, around 6 / 7 weeks.
With my son I was really early, like a month pregnant lol.

Once you felt the “flu like” feeling I knew it! My last 2 children I said “I feel like I’m getting sick” and in the TTC world everyone swore that’s the first symptom that most people look right past. And they were so right
