☠️🤣. (2:10) OJ shouldn’t quit his day job though…🎤😂
🥲🥲🥲
Dude! The skit is hilarious! Holy crap guys, I'm dying!
Sreten of M539 Restorations did a really nice job rebuilding his H1 starting with an N62 block
M539 did a rebuild on one of these with a regular N62 block after confirming the only difference on the bare block was the casting number, but that wasn't the interesting part of his rebuild. The interesting part was that the bore scoring he theorized was caused by BMW simply running too hot of a thermostat (most likely for emissions reasons). It certainly couldn't hurt to run a colder thermostat and I'd be curious to see what difference it makes.
O.j get this project done, its awesome
_I love it when a BMW guy like OJ Lopez takes a 5 Series and turns it into a dedicated tribute car for the Alpina namesake. Ironic that my boy(nephew) just picked up a 2014 BMW 7 Series in the M class this past week here in the Scottsdale, Arizona area. The car is a one-owner beauty loaded with every single luxury option and an original MSRP in '14 of somewhere north of $125G's._
I would love to see this project finished!
Gotta love over engineered BMW engineering, kudos for your team for keeping the project alive even with all its hurdles... It will be a Great tribute piece!!
I like it. But then again I always like unique builds.
I completely agree with not calling it a b5.
My track car is a E36 325 IS. Even though I have all of the M3 upgraded suspension, body panels, a fully built supercharged 3 l M50. It does not say M3 anywhere on the car.
Excellent content very well presented.
Damn OJ, I never expected the gun show at FMU.
Nice to see the shop doing well and doing such highly technical projects.
Rebadging is low brow, tributes are fine
I was lucky enough to own a B10 back in the day. What an awesome car, what an awesome project. This is better than any twin turbo r8 or lambo build 🙌🏻
Literally just stumbled across this video because the previous owner chopped the tail mufflers off my 545i and I need a tailpipe 😂
Very interesting build. You can leave it de-badged. Can't wait to see the finished product!
Hell ya, in for updates
Epic build
Happy to have you!
Great video lookin swole bro 💪
Keep up the good work would be great too this project complete
I’m sending this to AGT, I see a record deal in your future. If you need a manager I’m happy to help
well done.
Love Alpinas and love the tribute song 😝
La la la la laaaaaaas! 🎤

OJ , first up l need to say , Please post a "WARNING" sign for OJ breaking out into a song , l listen thru headphones and l think l ruptured an eardrum! Hard project but who better to take up the challenge than F.M..Looking forward to listening to more content..Good humor tho , was a great laugh..Thanks OJ
Proceed with caution! ⚠️ ‼️ ⛔️
The new word of copy is homage lol.. and then there is tribute..
we are liking this
"Tenacious Juice"
🍊 🧃
Just do it O.J.
🔥🔥
OJ bout to get a Grammy 🎙️
Great Tribute! i have an E60 im curious where did you add the sound deadening? and what did you use?
We used Dynamat, pretty easy to work with and great results!
Here for the comments about butchering pronunciation 🍿
Love the channel and attention to detail, but less talking, more wrenching.
For me it is a alpina b5
Hey OJ, why couldn’t you have used Ductile Iron Liners in the aluminum block instead of replacing the coating lining the cylinder sleeves?!?
Finding a machine shop that can do that to this block is extremely rare. Only 2 that we know of, and while the cost of repairing Alusil is high, the machining and cost of installing the liners is much much higher. There’s no market to develop and refine the process, so it reflects in cost and tooling setup. At that point sourcing a used block, or we might be able to find a whole other wrecked alpina at that point.
Exactly what M539Restorations tried to do with his. (project Chicago I think?) Ended up having to scrap the block (and some of the pistons) and transfer the rotating assembly and heads to an N62 block.
Are those OEM wheels?
Yes! These are the Alpina Dynamic wheels, they came on the Z8 here in the states.
Holy motherducking.....lmao😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 I lost it when he was lost in his words, he was trying to make a case for this build/it's fake, LMAO 💯🙏👍🤣
M539 restoration had the same problem in a B7 that he imported to Frankfurt from Chicago lol. He rebuild the engine but it failed then with help from a guy I belive in Dubai figured that the bmw blocks Are identical to alpina except a stamp added by alpina. He than transferred all the internals and parts from the failed engine except weare parts. Hope that helps.ruclips.net/video/vcScDeDV-14/видео.html
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not an alpinaa BOOOOOOOO....🤣🤣🤣
😆
I’m at 2:19, this is hilarious and so true.
