Heck yeah I’m waiting on my 55 pin tires, That just looks sweet the way it is I would drive it with those then the bigger ones they’re exactly the same tire just taller than the other that will give you your answer. My vote is on the 55s for the win yeah well sounds good to me 😁👍👍😎

@@Wicked_crawlerz_rc I got the motor situated nicely but my driveshaft’s were either too long or too short. I couldn’t find a middle ground with my link set up (c10 front, deadbolt rear)

I'm waiting on a few final parts and have a similar build planned but with the mazz cheat code chassis, LGRP S8 billets, LGRP billet trans, power hobby 58mm with the top from the 54mm (no fake reservoir), LGRP trail kings, Tegu24 Pro and Mofo SMP and a proline cliffhanger
It looks really good, i am new to the scx24 and i am getting a lot of great info from you. I enjoy looking at all the parts from the different companies you use. I have 3 orders in at injora currently. lol
@@alexbobincheck1130 check out the LGRP motor comparison I did. That’s a good one, and budget friendly. I’ll be posting a Mofo RC motor video in the next day or so too!
I can tell you what I did and what I’m planning to do. I did the stock hinge in the back from a deadbolt. Then I used hood pins up front. I am not happy at all with the front mounting system and I’m going to try to get a magnetic mount for it. So, the plan is hinge in the back and magnetic mount up front.
I am working on pretty much the same build. I was wondering was rear bumper hinged body mount you are using? Cheers! Love your build videos, keep up the great work!
Awesome build! Running the links with only one O ring is great for flex, but on my rig, it gives the axle tons of side to side movement. Does that happen on your rig? And for the tires, you should definitely go taller! And finally, with the wheels, I think some Injora Negative Offset Stamped Steel 1.0s would be perfect. The width is between deep dished and normal with the regular SS1.0s. I think it would be perfect on this rig.
Thanks! I like your thinking. I’ve got gunmetal deep dish Injora wheels on their way as we speak. Thinking of trying scrambler tires or LGRP grippers. As for axle movement, I don’t notice it too bad on my other rigs. But I will be more sensitive to it on this one. I’ll let you know after I get some more run time on it 👍🏻
I think the c10 front deadbolt rear is the best combo. For me personally, I like the 48mm shocks. Most people will say that’s too long for optimal performance and they’re probably right, but I like it for the fun factor. A stock length or slightly longer is probably ideal for best performance
I'd be interested in some build comparisons of your fleet. Not sure if you watch exocaged but he did that recently and it was fun to watch. Would be cool with smaller stuff.
I’m digging it! Do you feel the weight would be more of an advantage in competition than adding rear steer and dig features that would add a significant amount of weight ?
Dig function would be epic. My local comp has already banned 4WS after I won the last comp with Snaggletooth. So, I think proper weight distribution with a dig function would be a track killer!
Appears to be the save servo as a Reef’s 99 same specs the only visible difference is the labeling. They are a little bigger & I would recommend getting their adjustable mount too.
How did front body posts mount before you swapped to magnets? I'd rather run body posts for mine but none of these aftermarket frames showcase the body mounting process.
I had to screw the posts to the sides of the chassis up front then drill holes into the hood of the body. It worked but I couldnt keep the posts from rotating on the screws. It was a minor irritation, but enough for me to want to switch.
Another great vid , awesome build Adam, don't know if you know, treal has extended links in various colors for the fcx24. Just got a set in blue, very nice, comes with driveshaft also.
I have built this exactly as you did with the chassis and axles. The front binds really bad because the axle is so wide compared to the frame. Any ideas as to why please.
Hey Adam, I love this build so much I decided to do my own! Do you have any issues with the lower links binding on the skid plate with the wider link mounts of the super 8’s?
I do but always attributed it to the chassis because I get the same thing on my deadbolt with the stock axle housings. I have the super 8's on a couple other builds and I don't experience binding.
Fcx24 axles or the super 8 for an axle swap on scx24... Looking to get away from the stockers and gain significant turning radius.... Any suggestions cape? Thanks in advance...
I love the super 8’s but the fcx24 portals will give you huge clearance. Combine them with the metal gears and it’s quite a combo! Portals will raise the chassis though, so it depends what matters most to you: clearance or low cog.
I heard the super 8 axles have wider link and shock mounts, does it require custom links? Are your treal links in an extreme angle or would they work? Your shocks look like they are in a bind, Hardparkrc has shock spacers.
The axles do push the mounts out towards the wheel but I am still running normal links with no issue. On my bronco I did spacers for the upper shock mounts but I didnt do that with the comp build. I may try it though, and see how the shocks behave. I have found that the Mofo chassis is tight up front regardless and it's a challenge to get it setup properly.
Awesome lookin rig man 🤙 I think the only thing that keeps me from building one of these is the loss of “scale” appearance. Personally I prefer the cage style (Capra-ish lol) body. Does anyone make that style of body for the 1/24’s? That is why I’m leaning toward the UTB.

Does the super 8 axles use their own axles shafts or can stock axle shafts work? I was interested in their products but it seems like they are all specific and proprietary parts. I bought their "4 link emax" servo tray and turns out it doesn't work with stock axle and links, only works with their chassis kits, and links. They are not clear about what part works with what. Their billet axles doesn't come with diff cover but the brass diff covers are sold out. Ripper chassis kits have specific links, but the links are sold out. Yes, by 8mm I believe
