I thought the DA was suppose to want justice for John. Certainly sounds like his opinion is that Karen Read is guilty. I feel like his injuries do NOT appear to be from being backed into by a car. So many inconsistencies in this case.

I admire what defense attorneys do but Read's come off a little too tabloid for me. I have a feeling they'd blame O'Keefe's death on Anne Frank if they thought it would get their client off the hook.
I'm on the fence about her guilt. I think it's likely she hit him with the car, but I want to see more evidence before committing either way.

I read that the owner's of the house gave away their dog after this incident even though they say the dog did nothing. If that dog is still alive defense needs to find it because even if they thoroughly scrubbed that dog there could still be blood, DNA etc. on dog.

Wouldn’t the investigation into the homicide of a fellow cop be when everything is done to a tee? It was not done because of incompetence. It was done because they didn’t wanna investigate something that might involve other cops.

I’m curious of the victim’s family’s perspective. Their opinion and gut instinct means a lot.
According to the prosecution they “lost” the slides and swabs taken from JO’s arm that would have been used for forensic testing. The homeowner Officer Brian Albert also got rid of the dog and then the house.

@@Sassy_Pants..yup, another Brady violation it’d appear. The state seems to love to destroy exculpatory evidence or intentionally fail to obtain it in the first place. Like the canton public library footage which seemed to have no problem all the other times they got it but for the one time it’d provide exculpatory evidence showing Karen driving home with her taillight intact, poof-it magically disappears.
There’s hundreds of cameras along Karen’s route driving home, if that footage would’ve actually shown Karen’s taillight shattered, don’t you think they would’ve subpoenaed for every camera possible to solidify their case? They subpoenaed for ZERO beyond the one (library) they destroyed.
And they kept withholding the library footage (notably missing the 2mins Karen drove by) despite the defense filing motion after motion requesting it, then they failed to turn it over once the court ordered it, and finally when they turned it over it wasn’t even the original source file & instead was their tampered video sent via link, requiring the defense to subpoena for the original unadulterated file. Which they’ve still failed to produce & failed to provide an explanation for.
THAT on its own would kinda solidify there’s some coverup going on here, but that’s 1 of many many disturbing data points.
The defense is not saying a murder did not happen. They are saying their client is innocent. There is a difference.
Why isn’t anyone asking about the 2 minutes of missing canton library footage that would solidify her taillight was intact.

The video from OJOs ring camera shows KR backing into OJO car as she backed out of his garage at about 5:15 am. That video clearly shows the tail light was intact with a crack in it. Not the 47 pieces missing from it as the CW states..
OJO was found around 6am, after KR backed into Johns car..

also, there was evidence on his watch/phone. they tracked him going into the house and up and down the stairs in the house, as well. further, after they took jo's body away, the homeowner had jo's device in his possession as it was still tracking around the homeowners house (after his body was removed!!)!!!! I really hope that those responsible for the death of the officer are brought to justice, I just don't believe Karen Read is guilty. There is SO much other evidence and information about this case that points elsewhere. I bet the grand jury was never provided any of the other information relating to the case. I feel so badly for Ms. Read.

It's shameful that Court TV put Turtleboy on air without confronting him about his exploitative tactics. He even called the Canton witnesses killers but the interviewer let it slide.
When the dust settles I hope the Canton witnesses sue him mercilessly.
It's also very weird how you guys don't seem able to discern that the panel was making fun of Turtleboy (the host calls him a "local internet personality", _not an_ "award-winning journalist"), the Philadelphia family law attorney in particular.
To objective viewers, Turtleboy transparently becomes the monster he is.
You have to be really open minded in this matter. Perhaps the DA can be sued if Karen Read is freed, to compensate the children for a lawsuit their guardians may have had on their behalf against the dog owner/house owner that could have opened up discovery under oath. Extremely concerning investigation.

This case is definitely a little fishy. Why won't the prosecution give the evidence to the defense as they're supposed to do by law? What are they trying to hide? How could somebody lay dying in your front yard and you don't know?

If he never came into the house and you thought he went straight home after the bar why would you Google that ? No1 inside saw his body when they all cleared out of the house house at 1:45 ?
Who leaves a bar goes to an after party and everyone only stays for less than an hour and ten mins? Maybe if it was one or two couples but 11people don't clear out that fast unless something happens
Then the next morning when the body is found, and the house has EMTs firefighters and police and neighbors swarming the front yard in response to the dead body the homeowner who is a Boston Homicide detective stays in the house and never comes out ? No chance, he'd be rubbing elbows and talking to all the cops outside. The homeowner is also the brother of the towns selectman. He's the father of the 18yr old mentioned by the DA.
The town police found zero evidence at the scene except the body and the phone. It wasn't until state police showed up that tail light was found.
Problem with that is, the lead detective has ties to the homeowner and his selectman brother. We have pictures of them together at pool parties and weddings going back a decade. But the lead detective says he doesn't know them. He also wasn't on duty that day he just showed up. After receiving a phone call from the homeowners sister in law, who was with Karen Read when the body was "discovered".
The library has a camera that would show Karen Read drive by with or without a damaged tail light but the prosecutor says a 5min portion is missing, just so happens to be the time she would've driven by. The lead detective that has the decades long relationship with the selectman and his brother the homeowner didn't find the broken tail light at the scene until _after_ he had seized and impounded the vehicle. Yes people noticed a crack in her taillight when they found the body discovered but we have a ring camera showing that she accidentally back into something when she went out to frantically look for him. It's a crack not shattered into pieces.
Also in the video that shows the back of her car their is no damage, so how did she hit and kill and 225lb man backing into him and not dent her car.
The homeowner also ripped up the floor of his basement, got rid of his dog, and then sold the house for 65k less that what it was listed for.
Why remove a floor? (Blood) why get rid of the family dog you've had for 7yrs ( dog bit OKeefes arm when the homeowner attacked him) and why sell the house that you live in and was in your family before you?
Cuz the house was never searched and you are trying to distance yourself from it in case they decide to look now.

John O'Keefe on entering the house got into it with Colin Albert...put him in a head choke and the dog atacked his arm....Brian Albert from behind struck O'Keefe in the back of tbe head with a blunt object....to break up the fight...O'Keefe went into a seisure....and started to gurgle vomited and died on the basement floor.

There is so much to dig into this case... but I warn you... Start first knowing the FBi had a federal Grand jury subpoena everyone in that house and they all plead the 5th.. and that either a cop in Canton went to the FBI and told them about the cover up or someone in the house did. The Alberts suspect Higgins flipped, a member of the ATF in Canton who works out of the PD... This case is taking down Boston cops, Canton cops, a DA's office, and the State police. TB is being fed by a member of the Feds... he is not just some random Internet guy... he has been exposing stories for years the major outlets never do anymore. Now this is a fact... Canton cops worked that scene early before much snow had fallen..They used leaf blowers to blow away the light fluffy snow..it was in the teens... There was no shoe or tail light broken plastic...until after 4 pm when over a foot of snow had fallen... like magic a shoe and broken tail light appear... and for more food for thought... how fast can a Lexas SUV go in reverse gear making a 3 point turn.. in about 20 feet? 5 mph? 10 perhaps.. That is not bringing enough force to kill a 6'2 230lb man... and where are the torso and leg trauma,,, bottom line they over charged hoping Karen Read would take a plea deal to a lessor charge, get probation and they all go on their way .... she didn't and they all got caught. This is going to be bigger then Whitey Bulger and John Connoly as far as Massachusetts corruption goes. @@mcnultyssobercompanion6372

My dog just bit me a couple of weeks ago. There was exact same lines of open wounds. But at the bottom of the wounds was a second marks where his teeth came together. Albeit it was on my belly and my belly is a lot softer than his strong arm.

Has that been verified by a veterinarian?
As I understand it, a dog will usually inflict bites along with scratches? I'm not a scholar on the forensic evidence, but I don't personally know of any proof that the cop was _also_ allegedly bit.
What is that breed of dog more likely to do, bite or scratch? That's a key question I'd like to know. Are there documented cases of that dog scratching but not biting? Is it likely that breed of dog would attack someone at all?
A major issue for me is: _if_ this cop was murdered by a group of his friends (and their dog?) why leave him in front of the scene of the crime?
What is the motive? I don't see...any.
To me it seems most likely Read hit him with his car and he died where it happened. I doubt she did it on purpose, given how wasted she apparently was I doubt she remembers at all.
That's what I think is most likely, but I'm holding off on strong opinions until everything comes out at the trial, something I wish Turtleboy and his acolytes would have done before engaging in this modern day witch hunt.

Yes O'Keefe put Colin Albert into a choke hold after Colin mouthed off to him as John was entering home, and Colin was about to leave.. the dog did what German Shepards do... it went for the arm that was restraining Colin ... it was in the basement it happened in less then a minute and O'keefe was dead... gurgling, vomit, and a pool of blood under his head. The dog rehomed, the house sold with a bright new basement floor installed. Colin and most likely Brian did the beating... the guests left many not ever hearing the fight... only Jen McCabe who took charge of planning the cover up. HOS long to die in the cold ? Jen Mc Cabe erased that message from her phone.... thing is a cell phone are small computer, you can try to delete, but if you do not overwrite the data, its for all to see. Jen Mc Cabe is just another person believing she could fool the cops and forensic experts.

Disgusted by the DA’s totally out of line comments. He’s violated Karen Reads 5th, 6th & 14th amendment rights to due process, a fair trial, the presumption of innocence and her right to a defense. Third party culprit defense is a long standing defense theory utilized in many cases in court rooms across this nation, and specifically is protected under the Massachusetts Guide to Evidence, Section 1105 with vast case law. DA Morrissey has also violated Rules 3.6 & 3.8 of Rules of Professional Conduct as dictated by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Furthermore, I believe DA Morrissey is further conflicted given he receives much of his donations from area LE, and specifically Yuri Bukhenik and Brian Tully, the immediate supervisors of Michael Proctor the lead investigator of Karen Read’s case, have both donated to his campaign consistently. Receiving money from the people he’s protecting is hardly different from a bribe. And meanwhile, he’s made statements that are provably lies and furthermore nonsensical on their face: like the suggestion that the LEAD Investigator & author of the PCA was never on the scene of a homicide investigation? Like that’s supposed to make us feel any better? Michael Morrissey’s office himself signed the affidavit which confirms Proctor was at the scene of the investigation on day 1 as he secured the victim, John O’Keefe’s phone. Why would he lie about knowable facts? Why would he intimidate members of the public & media from exercising their first amendment rights? I smell an even bigger coverup.

Fairness? Ok, I do not have any information whatsoever about this case. Yes, I do live under a rock, so I forego anything specifically attached to this crime. I do, however, know for a FACT, fairness, if ever, is a rarity in todays world and the American justice system. This guy thinks getting on the internet and telling people/citizens how we should all behave will....I repeat, WILL do more harm than good for his case. He should've kept quiet and did his job!
Actually his vehemence, disingenuousness about the cell phone "evidence" and unusual going public in this manner, lead me to wonder if there isn't something bigger going on, in which he could either be involved himself, or is being leaned on due to being compromised.

This DA needs schooling in the justice system. He is not allowed to try a case on social media Discussing the specifics of the case like this is appallingly incompetent. . If witnesses have been threatened then issue a warning to any perpetrator or get a legal gag order.

There are no speed bumps on the path of travel Karen Reads car took to that house. It’s a pretty short, flat route. That might be a desperate explanation if John’s phone only registered 1 flight of stairs, but his phone registered flights of stairs 3 times. That’d require atleast 24 speed bumps as Apple Health data registers 8 steps as 1 flight of stairs.
Nice one! And to me it's more likely to be steps IMO if I was a juror I wouldn't buy that whole speed bump theory as evidence to prove he wasn't in the house.
