25 years have passed since this accident so Chris is either 50 or 51 and his twin daughters are 25 themselves. It's a miracle he lived through what happened.
I think it's important to say. That, he lived because other's were kind enough to go and fetch him while they could. Burns get infected easily, and this being over 25 years ago, he wouldn't have as many optionsnof treatment but bandages & perhaps amputation
My dad was in a similar situation abiut 10 yrs ago or so. Two idiots had been drinking and ran straight into a cement wall at a church. The road was a deadend there but they kept flying anyway. My dad heard the accident and went running. There were two men in the truck and it was on fire. Unfortunately one gentlemen, the passenger, was already gone. The driver wasnt though. My dad knocked out the back window of the truck, pulled the driver through. By that time someone showed up to help him drag the driver to a safe distance. He was flown by helicopter to our burn unit. We never did get to find out if he made it or not. My daddy was just a normal man but definitely my hero. He watches over me everyday.
It was first used in Episode 210, in the teen car crash segment from Manassas, Virginia. Then again in Episode 628, in Hostage Hot Pursuit. It was used in one more segment, but I don't recall which one.
Tell me about it. Before we were together, my husband crashed his first car after falling asleep at the wheel, about a week after his father died of cancer and all the fun that goes along with that. Thank goodness he only got some scratches and bruises. I don't know how his mom or sister could have dealt with it if he'd died, especially so soon after his dad died.
Nope. He still was not informed that his wife was going into labor.. He was sleepy , and I read a comment that says "Driving drowsy can be just as dangerous as driving drunk". He was too sleepy to even register that he's driving too fast.
Yes that bothers me when they don't say or even attempt to guess what could have happened ... Thank goodness for the comment section. But i guess these RUclips episodes are edited and cut out some of the good stuff.🙄 Details for me are important and in real life, people don't get away with their short versions of events.
"You are what you think all day long." If you start acting rotten, you start seeing it all over the place but start acting nice and great and then the world's nice and great.
Yes I also would like to get in touch with Chris's family Kelly and the twins and see how we all ended up.As I was blessed also with twins. And guess what day they were born on!
It’s been 28 years since this happened so Chris’ daughters are now grown up. It would’ve been a shame if he didn’t live. If that happened, his daughters would have grown up without knowing him.
That man was so lucky that those two dudes were around to get him out of that car. He would have burned to death in that car and his daughters would have grown up without a father. It would have been much too late had it been left purely to the firefighters to rescue him.
I am 12 years old and my sister had a seizure did you rescue my sister did you bring her my name is Gianna right 13 years old my mom thank you for my mom my sister thank you yeah it's a lifesaver
Tomorrow will be the 30th anniversary of when this happened. When I saw the crash and the fire, I was frightened. This happened on a Thursday. I suppose Chris is 55 now and thanked Joe and Dennis for saving his life. If not for them, he would’ve died, Kelly would’ve been a widow, and his children would’ve grown up without a father.
I don't know why the other driver was driving like a maniac. He may have been drunk, overdosed on medications or he was just falling asleep at the wheel. When the vehicle crashed the fire must have been caused by a broken wire or damage to the engine. The other guy got him out just in time.
It would have been a ruptured fuel feed line to the carburetor dumping fuel at feed pressure onto the exhaust headers (which get red hot) that caused the fire.
33 years have passed since this happened. At the time this happened, I was living in Fountain Hills, Arizona and I was nearly 8 3/4 turning nine and my brother Andrew was 6 1/2 almost 7. That was when my asthma kicked in. This also happened 10 days before Easter.

She meant there was nothing else bad like not paralyzed and anything else worst
She ment it could have been worse.
Those men that pulled the new daddy out of the burning car are heros.
I'm just curious if the Gentlemen were ever recognized by the City, Township?
Driving drowsy can be just as dangerous as driving drunk.
The house shown at 4:49, Rescue 911 has used in other segments. They keep reusing it

GOD BLESS THOSE TWO HEROES FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES.
I always love to watch rescue 911
God bless him his twins and his 2 saving angels all the days of their lives
It's never explained why he drove so fast.
he was rushing to get home to his wife because she was going into labor anytime
Nope. He still was not informed that his wife was going into labor.. He was sleepy , and I read a comment that says "Driving drowsy can be just as dangerous as driving drunk". He was too sleepy to even register that he's driving too fast.
His foot must sunk into the gas pedal when he fell asleep, obviously causing the truck to accelerate.

Safety first on the road. I hate it when that happens. 👍🏻 if you strongly agree.

This segment reminds me of the BBC's EastEnders car crash that occurred in May 2007.
I'm glad that Chris was alright after this accident.
What are the name of the twins!
I can't even tell he had some facial injuries.
who dislikes this lol TROLLS
People that don’t like that it happened or didn’t like watching someone hurt.
People that dislike it actually mean "Dis-I-Like".

Anyone else catch the F bomb!
I was wondering if I was the only one! I couldn't believe it, I had to rewind. So much for family friendly😆😆
When does it happen?
Disciple8923 nope I didn’t hear the F bomb.

Oh fuck his wife is having babies!
This segment aired 12 years before i was born
Good video. Very professional action.
Scary, scary! Is it me, or did that road not have enough street lights? If so, this could have been a contributing factor to the accident.
I'm from Clackamas County. Most of the rural roads out here do not have street lights.
I love watching the rescue 911
March 21st is my birthday
Happy birthday
Why do other people have to drive fast
Because he fell asleep n didn't realize that he was speeding
don't speed
I'm from Clackamas county.
Cars go up fast ,so fast it’s a miracle to get out .
Those two are heroes.
Guess “Chevy Blazer” is literal here.
No excuse for driving in any condition but sober and alert
That's what he deserves for driving like such an idiot. He deserved even worse. What did he expect would happen!?
He was more of an idiot for accepting a late-night job in the first place.

he was rushing to get home because his wife was suppose to be in labor
And he was coming from a late shift, too...likely fatigued.

I went to Portland, Oregon 6 years ago in 2018 for my cousin Sal’s wedding.
I’m sure Chris can never say “Thank you” enough Joe and Dennis for what they did for him.
This is what happens when you fall asleep at the wheel
I really! Feel like it's a miracle that he survived this car accident ❤

I also really! Feel like these 2 men are heroes❤
5:59 They got the guy out of the truck.
"Have be careful you might see someone dead." WHAT you don't pull a dead body out of a burning vehicle so the family have an unburnt body?????
Some people have fears of dead bodies. I am one of them. Not sure I could pull a dead body out of a vehicle if I knew the body was dead
Thats not a car
Its a truck
