I can picture myself right now on the couch watching this with my family. Back in the 90s all you really had for a family night was board games and TV shows. Miss those days
And we HAD to watch the commercials! There was no paying an extra $10 to cut the commercials out lol That was our opportunity to use the bathroom or grab a snack. Rescue 911 was my favorite show. I couldn’t wait to grow up and become a doctor. It didn’t happen but still… 😂

NICU doctors and nurses are amazing! I had my baby at 32 weeks this year (2022) and I feel so amazed and blessed. These little babies fight so hard. This episode was many years ago so it's even more amazing how these little one survived ❤️
Wish they’d bring this show back (with re-enactments). It’s nice to hear good news. It’s so surreal to see these people not have the things of today we utilize constantly, like cell phones, automatic gps location, etc.
When this show first aired in 1989 911 was only available in most major cities most rural parts of US did not have 911 where I grew up watching this show there was a message before and after from our local CBS affiliate indicating that 911 is not available in our market and to refer to all emergency numbers in phone book since this show aired it encouraged a lot of smaller cities to install the 911 system including our area in 1993

It had nothing to do with urban/rural location; major cities like Detroit, Cleveland and Chicago straight up refused to implement it because Democrat cities have traditionally underfunded police and EMS services. During Bill Clinton's second term, those cities flipped red long enough for Republicans to allocate enough money to a 911 service. #Factsliberalshate

Apparently when he was born his heart wasn't finished so there were a lot of holes in his heart, she had him home for a while and his jaundice got worse.
