Several thing disappointed in wrc8 1.no Car class/weather based Online Leaderboard Which means if you like R2 or Classic rally cars in WRC8 you cant compete. Because most top10 is 380hp WRC 1 machine and it cant be seperate This is one of issue yeah i know this is licensed game its disappointing Also Career perk system also included in leaderboard so some people drove a stage with better traction by perk upgrade. It seens doesnt have weather based leaderboard so you cant tell what people droven stages weather. This make me never buy any of DLCs in this game. even some of them are free in Dirt rally 1 or 2.0 R2 R5 basically useless in career when you reaches WRC1 and those classic cars never even worth on Career anyway. I love R2 but i barely even remember r2 class on this game no matter you try you cant compete whole world using 380hp machines by using FWD 180HP 2.ui control It sucks basically you have coursor but that coursor goes everywhere except you wanted to go. Ive been taken so many time on tunning section on controller coursor goes everywhere but i wanted to set. And keyboard and mouse ui control less helpful 3.watersplash or puddle physics Seems Water puddles locks the tire when approach. I actually spined my car by put left tire into puddles this been same issue on previous WRC and it was annoying
And being not able to save car setups is an issue. Is that fixed in WRC 8? Because in WRC 7 you couldnt save car setups. It remembers just the current one you have per class. But you cant save any :( Also Dirt 4 was bad with having just 4 slots.
WRC 8 is the greatest Rally Game/SIm ever!!! I Love the perfect physics, unbelivible good!!! Respct for your driving skill, realy fast and clean! Thanks for that vid. Hope to see more from you and WRC 8!!
@@TMGaming one thing wrc lacks is the ability to make clubs for online play. It's hard to find a good lobby on wrc8. Maybe a way of setting up a championship?
one thing in wrc 8 is that the engine compression ratio is too much, if you shift gear downwards, the car comes to a stop, especially at gear 1, immediately super slowdown, not a bad thing considering the speed at which one is going through these rally stages
I just noticed that wrc8 also has bumpy roads, wrc 8 is right there with dirst 2 in terms of gameplay due to that if not better, wrc 8 offerings are better overall
one more thing, the water puddles are actually well done in stages where there is rainfall, try a rainy stage, water puddles will feel realistic instead of stopping the car down, it seems only certain weather conditions or particularly the snowy stages like monte carlo or certain gravel/tarmac based stages have that water puddle issue which halts the car slightly, otherwise this is well done in a rainy stage in particular
I like Dirt better simply because of the wider variety of cars. WRC 8 only has 1 RWD car, while Dirt has an entire range of FWD, RWD, and AWD cars from different classes and eras as well as other types of racing (Rally, Rallycross, and in older games you had Stadium racing and Hillclimb).
Yeah WRC 8 is just a game for the official WRC cars. The historic cars on WRC 8 aren't even that good. Talking about older Rally games you can check out my latest video on SLRE an old gem of the rally gaming universe
Looks very arcades to me, RBR on Pc is a more sim but the best ever rally game is British Rally Championship which kicks all these console tragedies into touch.
I'm still really annoyed that the FIA shafted Codemasters on the rights to WRC content, cars and stages, because of this game. R5s just aren't the same, and I love DR 2.0.
@@TMGaming Sort of, Group B cars certainly have acceleration closer to the RC1 cars, but group B cars also don't come close to handling like a modern WRC car, it's part of their charm. R5 and RC1 cars at least share enough dna that they handle alike. I've honestly been having the most fun with the F2 Kit Cars lately though.
@@b.c.2281 Oh yeah the F2 Kit Cars are amazing mate, these and the Group B cars are my favourites, and 2000s ones. I have made plenty of videos on DR 2.0 including two Kit Car ones: ruclips.net/video/uRV9qlpPjUI/видео.html ruclips.net/video/xat-xI7EzEc/видео.html
Why do you all have to be so hurt when I said WRC 8 was better. DiRT Rally 2.0 was better than WRC 8 because of some stupid physics it had on bumps but WRC 9 for me is supperior. The FIA even chose WRC 9 to give a few drivers the chance to become real Rally3 drivers for two seasons. I never said DiRT Rally 2.0 isn't a great game, I play it a lot and still make videos on it for god's sake... but don't tell me it's the most realistic rally game because it's not and neither is WRC 9 they're just fun games!
Wrc 8 has arcadish feel to it but dirt 2 is also arcadish, but wrc 8 has better stages with more weather options, i would really like driving japanese sports cars like AE 86 or Mazda Rx7 etc. in wrc stages, those mountain pass like tracks with rain adds thrill and depth
@@TMGaming particularly as someone else mentioned here earlier, water puddles in wrc8 kinda stops the car, infact the sound it makes feels like your car crashed somewhere in the side of the road, unrealistic but i say that the same puddle and especially snow gathered in the road can make the car realistically slippery at times, while in dirt 2 i have yet to experience water puddles doing anything
@@TMGaming As i am playing dirt 2.0 right now on ps4, i can confirm that the little water puddle this Poland stage has, made the car slip, i was turning and puddles came into effect, i felt it and car slipped, doing clean stage runs in both games is very hard (note that i have never experienced wheel controllers so my experience is based on ps4 controller and i am not a hardcore race gamer either but i have played enough racing games and mostly simulation games)
Is to be released in september 2020 on PC Steam! Oh god! I would love if they will have Classics Rear drive cars to drift around the corners with rear traction. Last time I found WRC7 to be driving assisted all the time. hope this WRC is really controlling free and better like you say.
I’ve never played a rally with the co driver visuals (tiles) turned on. Not because I’m a pro or elite, purely because it seems harder to me having to look up rather than listen to the next call.
I was initially put off by the price tag on WRC 8 but then realized that in DR2.0, basically all of the rallies I'm most excited to play are paid DLCs that are just reused content from DR1. And if you were to get all of them, they actually cost more than the entire DR1 game, on Steam at least. I can't wrap my head around how cheap and obnoxious that is. And the stages in WRC 8 really do seem so much better but it bothers me that it's exclusive to one season. So what do I want, more cars or better stages... I think stages but I'm really not sure. I may just say fuck it and pick up Richard Burns Rally instead and mod it to hell, that way I get to have it all.
I mean you just showcased all three options 😅. I have made a video about the DiRT Rally 2.0 DLC policy and all that. I'm planning to make one on RBR as well
You would pick up a lot of time if you did a scandie around the wider turns. Keep ur momentum and hit the apexes. You over ran a lot of them and that cost u a lot of time as well. Still way better than I could do. Nice run.
I bought WRC Generations. I hated every second of playing this game. The controls are super sensitive and at the same time the reaction is delayed, making it impossible to drive. I would sometimes lose control going in a straight line as the back of the car would start swaying left and right. Who would create such a looser game? I will never buy another WRC game again.
@zblip22 I personally didn't enjoy Generations as well. I think WRC 9 had the best physics and I overally enjoyed that the most. You could try EA Sports WRC it's developed by Codemasters and it's very different to the older games!
@@TMGaming Just brought the game and played this stage first. I agree 100% with you. After playing 3 additional stages it will be hard for me to have as much fun in Dirt Rally as I did in WRX 8. Love this game already. Great video. You have a new subscriber! 👍
Absolutely, wrc8 is better than dirt rally 2.0 . That being said the rallycross mode on the latter is amazing . In the future the wrc franchise needs to put historic cars as well . If the game introduces the same amount of cars as the dirt franchise there will be no need to buy a dirt game anymore .

It’s just I play rally games casually with controller the first dirt rally was unplayable for me on pad I faired a little better on dirt 2.0 trial but wanted to see wrc 8 was more forgiving and give it a go
I will only add that SLRE in terms of the appearance of the routes and driving the car is more similar to realism and it is a pity that the game has not come to the next part. Still, SLRE eats the underdeveloped WRC8 for breakfast or the overrated Dirt Rally 2.0
@@TMGaming This is a very good game. If you look at the routes and their reflection to the real it is really real. Special effects are no longer as refined or texture but driving even on the steering wheel in Wales can be demanding even more like in Dirt or WRC. S.Loeb is a rally King. It is a pity that the game was abandoned in such a shadow by developers but I am happy to play it and I wonder why so many players get frustrated with it ... because it is demanding.

I'm not sure Dirt2 is mentioned at all so there isn't even an inkling of comparison, and your video does not explain at all why one is better than the other. So the title is misleading. The video also pops up when you do a search for a comparison between the two games. Not a bad video, but misleading in a way that made me click on it.... clickbait.
@@ukemike1 Yes but... There's a huge but here my friend. I said "This" so on this video I'm showing off why I believe WRC 8 is better. A message from the Minister of Sport to the enthusiasts of simple WRC8 games or what to call a freak of human nature. If for you WRC8 is a simulator, then for a construction worker, operating a wheelbarrow is an F1 simulator, and for a pensioner in Walmart, driving a cart around the dog crunch department is a real Dakar rally. WRC8 goes ahead but also fucked up a lot of things along the way trying to overtake the Dirt and RBR series. Dirt Rally is not the best simulator, but it reflects the most similar reality as it is watched live or on TV and this is the truth. WRC8 despite the license, there is really nothing ... for me, the rally enthusiast is simply a total error of the FIA WRC which they entrusted the advertising of this sport to such fucked up hands of Kyloton. But this is the trend at FIA WRC to make simple games and pretend that it's the best wheelbarrow simulator on the construction site of all time with the voice of the pilot after anal cleansing measures. Kyloton should start creating board games for patients in psychiatric hospitals with the intention of committing suicide so that they would have good effectiveness then ... Finally. If WRC wants to appear seriously in games, they should think about whether to go to construction and Walmart and ask how to make good games and who to entrust it to. Apparently in version 20 in X years they are to introduce Pacman to a rally that will devour rally cars as they fall off the route, and the effects of suspension transplant from electric scooters for postmen. The pilot's sound will be from Alexa who will notify the player who fucked up another $ 50 ... And she will tell you on the basis of Wikipedia what tree we pass and why this pixel or shadow has been fucked up again. On the subject of car physics, they are supposed to call specialists from the vacuum in the anus of the koala bear, which after eating a bucket of eucalyptus creates a hydrogen bomb as well as additional vibrations and vibrations of the anus with gas pressure ... And on this basis the accelerated phenomenon of the quantum koala bear. Graphs of tire viscosity law of aerodynamic speed gravity will be created, and so on, until an ideal big bang of the exploding anus in real physics gases for future WRC editions is created.

Imagine if this game was 60fps like Dirt rally 2.0. I like Dirt rally 2.0 physics much better.
I am on PC so I get more than 60fps. I feel like each game has its ups and downs. Both fun to play.
@@TMGaming I am playing on xbox one x, cant understand why it runs at 30fps should be 60, I do like this game a lot more than I thought I would, it definitely needs HDR support, and 60fps on xbox one x.

Several thing disappointed in wrc8
1.no Car class/weather based Online Leaderboard
Which means if you like R2 or Classic rally cars in WRC8 you cant compete. Because most top10 is 380hp WRC 1 machine and it cant be seperate
This is one of issue yeah i know this is licensed game its disappointing
Also Career perk system also included in leaderboard so some people drove a stage with better traction by perk upgrade.
It seens doesnt have weather based leaderboard so you cant tell what people droven stages weather.
This make me never buy any of DLCs in this game. even some of them are free in Dirt rally 1 or 2.0
R2 R5 basically useless in career when you reaches WRC1 and those classic cars never even worth on Career anyway.
I love R2 but i barely even remember r2 class on this game no matter you try you cant compete whole world using 380hp machines by using FWD 180HP
2.ui control
It sucks basically you have coursor but that coursor goes everywhere except you wanted to go.
Ive been taken so many time on tunning section on controller coursor goes everywhere but i wanted to set.
And keyboard and mouse ui control less helpful
3.watersplash or puddle physics
Seems Water puddles locks the tire when approach. I actually spined my car by put left tire into puddles this been same issue on previous WRC and it was annoying
I didn't know some of the things you said. But you are correct. I feel like both games have their negatives.
And being not able to save car setups is an issue. Is that fixed in WRC 8? Because in WRC 7 you couldnt save car setups. It remembers just the current one you have per class. But you cant save any :(
Also Dirt 4 was bad with having just 4 slots.
@@De-M-oN No it's not saved... Plenty of bugs
Dr2 still better for me idk

Umm... Dirt Rally 2.0 literally has this same rally stages.
But I would love to buy this game. If they add Subarus.
There's still differences in the stages though. They won't add Subarus unfortunately and the historic cars are not as good as in Dirt Rally 2.0
@@TMGaming 😭😭😭😭😭
As a fan of both games I can honestly say the stages are far better on wrc8. They're both great games in their own way.
@@Stupendous855 Agreed mate
@@TMGaming one thing wrc lacks is the ability to make clubs for online play. It's hard to find a good lobby on wrc8. Maybe a way of setting up a championship?

Hahaha that's one way to see it. In general i feel like the stage design is top notch on WRC 8, really enjoyable and challenging at the same time!
TMGaming just joking of course 🙃
Bro dr2 has the same stages
More user friendly since Dirt Rally 2.0 is a simulation and this is between simulation and arcade, easier to control and better for beginners
I can partially agree. But there are moments when WRC 8 is tougher than Dirt Rally 2.0
except WRC8 feels more like driving an actual rally car than dirt rally 2.
Source: Someone who actually drove one
@@FOXeye95 Interesting! Which car have you driven?
@@TMGaming Subaru Impreza 1st gen, a toyota starlet Gr A and a weird E36 compact modified for it (sucked ass)
This on a dirt track
@@FOXeye95 Impressive mate. Hope I can do some rallying in the future too, real life obviously
one thing in wrc 8 is that the engine compression ratio is too much, if you shift gear downwards, the car comes to a stop, especially at gear 1, immediately super slowdown, not a bad thing considering the speed at which one is going through these rally stages
@@GotuUmraniya Agree mate!
Hahaha not so sure about British Rally Championship, though it was very good for its time. RBR is probably the best though, I agree.
for me the co driver calls are way too late. Even in the earliest settings i find that the co driver has a lot of pauses in between the calls
I think they've fixed that on WRC 9, but yeah it was an issue on WRC 8.
Co-driver call timing can be adjusted in the settings.
But you probably figured that out by now ✌️😁
I'm still really annoyed that the FIA shafted Codemasters on the rights to WRC content, cars and stages, because of this game. R5s just aren't the same, and I love DR 2.0.
Group B on DR 2.0 is the closest you can get to this if not better. But I get your point.
I have made plenty of videos on DR 2.0 including two Kit Car ones: ruclips.net/video/uRV9qlpPjUI/видео.html

If you think WRC physics are realistic you simply don't know Rally. Pro Pilots train on Dirt Rally
They're both good games with negatives as well.
@@GotuUmraniya Yeah water puddles on DiRT Rally 2.0 are harmless whereas on WRC 8 they are way too dangerous at times.

@@Hurleysburley I will definitely try this out on a future video. It will be the toughest challenge
