@@jaxxryan1374 I disagree, hitting corners at speeds on a dirt road wheels spinning, barely controlling your vehicle, while a co-driver is telling you what's next and trying to process that information, one wrong move and you're off the edge of a cliff, not only that but you're trying to beat an opponent, I'd say that's the most thrilling and scary experience in gaming if you ask me.

@@RobGcraft you can take a series of photographs with a good camera whose position you know (think camera with gps receiver on top) and use a 3D reconstruction algorithm. Then you need to import that into the game and probably tweak the quality a bit (removing extra polygons, using texture mapping to provide the depth of the objects without huge impact in resources, correcting artifacts, etc). I don't do the gaming bit so someone else might know better. But as far as acquiring the data goes, that is how you can do it. You can also use LiDAR as an alternative and build a mesh through that.

Needs the RBR damage model where as soon as you even think about looking at a tree, you know you're about to hear "sounds like the gearbox is broken"

I love how WRC8 looks and the possibilities it has, but with no VR support... Just kills me...

I'd love if there was a Rally of the Lakes in a SIM so that I could see you take on Moll's Gap.

Hello Jimmy, WRC 8 is just an awesome game, great stages and FFB!! You must have a good set up on the car to do a time like that and chat!! I play on PS4 Pro with the Thrustmaster/Sparco stuff, all I can say is, it plays great. Have you tried "Monti di Ala" reverse, Rally Sardegna, lovely stuff, set to dawn, sunny spells😂. Maybe you could upload a run, cheers, Daniel.

Also, the times arent actually set by people playing the game, proving them actually possible. That always bugged me. World record on torsby is 3:02. First place in torsby is 3:00.

I understand how this could be challenge but I always play like this. I just need to hear my co-driver, feel the road under the tires and try my best to McRae the track.

I know your not a controller driver, but as one, it would be great to see a comparison on wrc8 with the wheel versus the controller, what do you reckon? Some of us are sim fans with limited gadgets, so would be great to see you do a video on that. Top work dude, love that you are an actual rally fan!

For sure there is still only one rally sim out there, so there is no choice for real enthusiasts, but the stages & physics in WRC 8 look like good compromise for casual players - good job developers! Especially compared to Dirt Rally 2.0 with it's minimal overall progress from 1.0.

What settings do you use on your csl elite wheel and in game Jimmy ??? I've given up on the game due to not being able to get a good feel out wheel which is a shame because the game is amazing everything about it is good. I know FFB is subjective but the driving either feels like a tank or feels like a kids go kart with all the settings I've used from various other people on different wheels not saw one person's csl elite set up online anywhere..... Help a man in need of some dirty fanatec hardcore rally action..... Lol

Also i always play on realistic damage to discourage extra risk, your couple of hits probably added up to overall 20-40% damage. Not awful. Just wasnt that much speed when you hit the rocks
