Its honestly such a painful experience with so little services, I fully underestimated every aspect. So just know you didn't suffer alone, I'm sure it was a reality for many 😂
Dirt rally 2.0, I did a monthly championship with a Lancia Fulvia and finished 10th. When the month was over and more people finished, I was pushed back to 76th. I've never been happier, and I've never done that well since.
11:55 i wish there were a system who change things randomly in the stage, like rocks at different places, pothole and other car stop on the side of the road. Same for everyone, but you never know which version you get until in the stage. They added terrain deformation depending on the start order, thats a good start in this direction.😊
I very much prefer stages with lots of corners. Long high speed stretches are just terrifying. I just know there's gonna be a tight corner at the end that I'm gonna misjudge. Or a kink in the long flat stretch that'll send me in a barrel roll.

I set up my The Car Lounge club to do a monthly WRC-like event with 100+ miles and 20+ stages. We're taking builders cars out for a marathon. I tried to replicate the Estonian rally from 2023. a bunch of the same stages, but none of the VERY long ones.
Me playing rally games: I have just driven as fast as possible without crashing, surely this is a decent time. The leaderboard: *some guy is like a full minute faster than me* (for a short stage)
W vid! More of rally please :) I know WRC is a bit forgiving, but idk if in reality that's such a bad thing. Just look at these events you've entered and how they went in that regard ahah. Certainly for me it seems like an ok level.
i hate to be the one to say it but this game has the graphical fidelity of far cry 2, which is almost a compliment as that game looks awesome for the time.
There was a service on stage 10 but since you quick fixed everything earlier, there probably wasn't much to repair 😅. Protip, quick fixes block future repairs in that event.
"Rallying in a DIY bodged clunker against actual tryhards" vaguely reminds me of of some old story about a couple of guys who basically did just that in a car where they had to learn how to DIY the rollcage since it was too expensive to have one put it. you gotta do a video like this in something like an older group A or H3 class car, maybe in chile or mexico. both brutal rallies in their own right, and super fun to whip through!
I feel like hardcore damage is turned off for official wrc. You wouldn't have survived 2 stages without cooling otherwise. I know i have not. Also the otherday my left front steering broke, that is a weird feeling to drive. Ps, forget about repairing exhaust, use the time elsewhere needed.

Entered the same event yesterday using the Hyundai i20, and I also hit a big tree on stage 5 and smoke coming out. Finished the rally anyways but with no turbo 😂
the road still looks like it's copy pasted over the rest of the terrain especially on the darker/night stages when theres also headlights involved. i think even they know they have a faulty product. after 5 months the game is currently at 60% off. i dont think i ever saw a game drop so fast in such a short time after release
I made the mistake of putting the engine in the back in my wrc car. It's fine on gravel for the most part, but really falls apart in Monte Carlo and is not great on tarmac. It's so easy to lose it in corners on tarmac
Kenya is TOUGH on default tuning. I always drop my Slow Bumps to like -2/-3 and rebound to like -2, soft springs to match and I even raise the car by 10mm above center because the extra height helps going over all the uneven stuff. Way more drivable that way.
My game crashed on 1 of the stages and it put me down as a DNF for that stage + I trundled through the last few stages at a snails pace too. The car did the exact same thing. I wonder did everyones car end up like that or was it just terrible driving that did it 🤔
