Watching you play Dirt Rally and enjoying it so much was the reason I bought it and absolutely agree, The visceral experience is amazing. I'd never complain to seeing more DR on the channel!
DR 2.0 is just bloody awesome. Wales is one of my favourite rally's so very happy to see it back. Even with WRC 8 looming I just don't see it being better. The audio and experience in this game is just second to none!
Saying the stages are "just a touchup" really does disservice to the awesomeness the Wales DLC is in DR2. Just like with the previous updated rallies from the first game, it has been transformed in DR2, and is absolutely worth every cent from those meager 3.5 euro they ask for it.
I think I need this game. I grew up on dirt roads and find myself flicking, drifting and sliding instinctively in every car in almost every game. Works on dirt in a WRX, but F1 cars get cranky.🤣

If you find it hard to memorise the corners in the stage just try to learn the pace notes! I have taken some time of learning them and when you learn them properly it just clicks in the stages and it will be so much easier! Many people feel distractet but I don't think it is so for me but that depends on the person of course, so I highly recomend learning them! Great video! Love your content!
Elliot Björck i totally agree with this one - learning to utilize the pacenotes while you drive backed up by a few runs on the stages will make you really comfortable with pushing the car through the stage👌🏻
I don’t mind rally it’s quite impressive what you have to do and all, it’s really still very old school like racing no real barriers just an open field, gravel, water, dirt, mud, tarmac, trees fast and dangerous. I’m mainly on GTS, F1 and sometimes AC. Perhaps I should get Dirt Rally 2.0 to.
unfortunately from California in the United States, but a HUGE rally fan, even with it not super common over here. Its on my bucket list to make it to a few Euro WRC events soon though.
I dont understand what happened at Codemasters. Dirt Rally 1 is my favorite rally game of all time, so i was really hyped for 2.0 but after hearing that the campaign was online only and that the paid DLC tracks are just the old tracks i haven't even bothered with it. Might pick up 2.0 on a sale or pre-played at some stage.
I was messing with this same combo last night, but the stage reversed. made it 75%of the way thru 3 or 4 times and switched to a 2000cc Subaru that I'm more comfortable in. Really fun stage.
I once heard someone describe G body Porsches as having “tossed more than one stockbroker through a hedge.” Tuning a Super Carrera to a 290 HP Group B car…the guys who drove those things back in the day must have had their own gravitational field around their balls.
Underbird [former X8X8] I pay $80 in total and get amazing stages and cars as DLC. And if the DLC tracks are visually touched-up versions, then who cares? They were great I. The old game and even better now. The new tracks prevents me from forgetting about this game so that’s actually pretty great.

People as me dislike it at first release, but now with the new cars/tracks, and some bugs fixed, it's the best rally driving experience ever made. Has a lot to improve, but anyways it is the best, I am sorry the simracing comunnity doesn't embrace it, because it's too much fun.

Their's a simple reason there isnt many porches in rally, they're expensive, so with that alone, not a good platform to be driving on the edge and wearing on parts constantly, if they as a company were able to come up with a cheap version of their cars, you know something with no fancy suff in the interior, cloth seats, and a base engine package with a modest price tag, you would see more in rally
Don't think it would be much more expensive to repair than a high end rally car. You are right in that the initial cost would be higher due to the base cars price (compared to the usual rally base cars). That is for privateer teams. Porsche as a company chooses to show off it's capabilities on track which is much better marketing considering the cars they make. They also don't really have much up to date rally know-how so designing a rally modification of lets say a Cayman would be even more expensive and require a lot of outside help. At least this is my educated guess. I would enjoy a WRC Cayman a lot tho and it would be a breeze of fresh air to WRC. Just imagine.. AWD, mid engine, a vastly different sound and look compared to the competitors.. mmm smells a bit like that famous golden era :D

snag it on sale! its got its rough edged but its a really fun game esp to understand all levels of cars.
Ignore metalmike04 and get the original Dirt Rally. Dirt Rally 2 is a complete dog turd by comparison.

Yep, even tough there could still be a lot more different stages. Half of the content is from the previous game which is a bit disappointing.
