Nice video! I have a 2011 Optima with the panoramic sunroof, heated seats, and Infinity sound system. The engine needed replacing and I’m really happy Kia was able to do it free of charge because I wasn’t ready to let this one go. It’s an absolute joy to drive and everyone loves the look of it. The design really stands the test of time!
@@CruiseControl1 agreed!! Everyone has recalls, including blown engines. It's not the recall that should put you off from a brand, but how the manufacturer handles the recall!
I've had my 2011 Kia Optima since 2012 and I still love it! Wish they weren't so easy to steal 🥴 just got mine back recently. But even when looking around for a new car, I didn’t see anything I liked more than mine! Wish I did have a sunroof and more features however. I really got lucky because when I purchased it, I knew nothing about the reliability or safety. Just liked the price and the look!
my car is a optima LX 2013 4 cylinder 200 HP 2.4 L panoramic sunroof in the front nice interior driving very smooth good power economic in gasoline nice beautiful sedan excellent I recommend the miles is 98.000
Cool intro by the way🤩👀 Thank you for talking about how it's been intuitive, simple and easy to use. Great to hear that it's got great fuel economy and that it's still going strong.
My 2012 Kia sorento that had 174k on the dash when I bought got hit while parked by a drunk driver. I liked the car unfortunately. I’m looking at these optima’s but the turbo makes me feel the reliability will be off? Anyone have some owners feedback?
I’m looking to get my first car. Looking to buy a used Kia, think I’m set on the Optima. For as old as it is, it seems to be an excellent car, plus it’s actually pretty cute to look at
Great looking car and it should make a good first car. I would recommend having it inspected by a mechanic before buying one and definitely stay on top of oils changes every 3,000 miles.
I was thinking about buying a 150k mile used Optima from a used lot. After learning about mileage and engine failure issues I'll definitely not be making that purchase. Thanks for the review! A lot of Optimas in this yr range on the used market right now and I would guess the engine issue may be a common reason there are so many floating around between $8k and 10k🤦🏻♂️
I have a 2011 Optima with 112k miles and it has never had a engine burp. Synthetic 5w-20 oil with Kia (OEM) oil filter every 4-5k miles. Does anyone believe the engine failures are from debris left in engine during mfg? Seems that I've heard of 2016-2019 with engine failures too, So what is it?
These Optimas weren't bad looking definitely stole the Ford Taurus styling which made Kia relevant from the ugly cheap styled junk they made prior to 2011.
@@CruiseControl1 the gen 3 1996-1999 SHO Tauruses. Similar jellybean shape and styling of driver slanting dash cockpit and interior with performance hues
@@CruiseControl1 the SHO you drove was the gen 2 style 92-95 yes there's no styling to this from that older Taurus but the 3rd Gen I see this optima also got the rear window idea from the rounded one on the Taurus that went into the roof

See that's what I like to hear, I'm so glad Kia took care of the new engine. Thank you for your comment and for watching my channel.

How true
I've had my kia for about 4 months now and I love it.
Nice, Congrats on getting it. What color did you choose?

I would have one looked at by an independent mechanic to make sure it’s in good shape before buying one.
@radfoo72 My girls friend just got a new audi from her mom and is selling me the kia for 1,800 with a new engine dropped by kia last year.
You're also a good looking guy I must say! Look like WWE Mike "The Miz" Mizanin.
Thank you for the compliment, I didn’t know who Mike “The Miz” was until a quick google.
Very nice video congratulations 👏
Thank you

I’m glad yours is still going strong, may you never have an issue. Your theory though makes sense
Love those lots of button

I don’t see the Ford Taurus but what year Ford Taurus should it be compared to?

I was lucky enough to drive a 94 Ford Taurus SHO and almost bought it. I still don’t see the Ford Taurus influence here though.

For sure the gen I drove was a square design vs the late 90s was a rounded front and rear
