The video is beautiful, I don't understand why there is so much frustration. Cubase hibernates in the past, then due to the addition of other products (dorico, nuendo, vawelab, etc.) the team grew and thus the last editions became more developed than the competition. Cubase 13 looks good because many people worked on it, we have lite editions of vawelab, dorico, nuendo, spectrallayers, etc. products that normally should not be included. Cubase 14 will be even more devastating for the competition because the development teams are numerous and work in the same direction, if Logic, Ableton, S1, etc. they each have a single development team Cubase has 5-6 instead. It has almost all the competition in one place, that's why Cubase grows 3x faster. Cubase 14 will destroy the competition, all Steinberg products in Cubase will be improved, Vavelab, Dorico, Spectralayers, options from the Nuendo team, etc., and finally the work of the Cubase team.
buy cubase 13 pro once ,cheaper use it on 3 computers ,no subscription ,has more in it ,does loads more ,has more add ons the list goes on, update so much cheaper to keep uptown date JUST learn it not mock it im not a pro just hobbyist i know everything she mentioned
Everything you guys talked about is in Cubase 13...I don't think dude has done much of a dive into Cubase or he really doesn't need that many features on a DAW depending on what he's doing. I have Logic as well but I've used Cubase since its incarnation on an Atari 1040st. I do want to check out the new AI features in Logic but I'm sure Cubase will add those and more in Dec

I use Cubase (since sx3) and got Logic recently (I will keep both as my DAWs). Logic is great, but I miss control room, search for plugins and instruments, be able to move a plugin to post or pre fade without creating busses, macros, listen function and so on. But stem split from Logic is really great (and I have hit n mix ripx).
@@DEADLINETV I don't know now, but when I tried SL in the past (like 1 or 2 years ago), the stem splitter was ok, but RipX and Izotope was better at that moment. RipX to me was the best before I tried Logic 11.
@@MarcosRobertoDosSantosJF I think it's an ongoing race, still. I prefer online processing over offline, but the results I got were good for what I need it for with SL.
@@drvoodoo3073 Yes, it is an important (but simple) feature that was missing. Now I think something similar as Control room in Cubase would be a great feature to be added to Logic in the future.
Every single thing done on Logic in this video is possible on Cubase in a slightly easier way. The only thing I don’t think is possible would be the automatic colour-coding of tracks while recording different takes. But the deactivated tracks are greyed out in Cubase so I’m not sure how fruitful that feature is. Use the DAW that you feel most comfortable using. Both Logic and Cubase are great and I paid money for both. But I still choose Cubase as my daily driver because I’m faster on it. If it’s the other way around for you, stick to that. SEIDS, you’re a Logic expert. The guy you’re with is clearly not an expert. Perhaps do the same video with a Cubase expert?
I come from a place where Cubase ran on the Atari ST. Logic and macs are something else if you can afford them. Also, I learnt some really useful shortcuts here, so thanks!
Now, to her credit, some of these features are on the higher end Cubase while in Logic it's just one version. Maybe the guy uses Cubase elements or something. I think that would've been a great sales pitch for Logic.
If you have any honor left you will delete this video. All of the functions shown are available in cubase, and some of them are much better. The guy definitely doesn't know much about cubase…
I've seen several of those I respect move from Logic to Cubase, but most of them work in the film realm. In general, I believe that both Logic and Cubase are reasonable DAWs to use. It all depends upon whether or not you 1) become a power user and need specific features that one or the other doesn't offer, 2) are budget minded as a hobbyist, and/or 3) you work cooperatively with others who all use the same DAW. Of course these are not the only reasons, but I would tend to believe that they represent the main reasons for choosing one DAW over another. Just my two cents... before taxes! :)
Some people are very stupid. they don´t get inform first. I worked with Cubase for many years, it was the first on many things. Vari audio was implemented on cubase 5. Logic never had that, until now or recently. All the rest of features pointed on this video, Cubase has it for a long time. So lady... do research first and don´t be so fanatic.
i switched from logic to cubase. i have logic pro certifications but cubase is so much better as it has chord track and control room where you can put plugins purely for your monitoring and doesn't affect your master out bounce. also it has everything that logic has. i remember when logic had a chord track. i'm not sure why apple removed it after they bought it from emagic
Cubase has one of THE WORST UIs in existence, it's cluttered and uninspiring and the color scheme is modeled after 1930s Germany just like where it came from. No offense.
What do you mean?? Cubase does all those stuff and some even easier and better than logic. Like the converting audio to midi and pitch correction thing, cubase does it better than logic using a cubase stock plugin called variaudio. I know coz I've used both DAWs. That guy is obviously not a cubase user or he intentionally degraded cubase for reasons best known to him. Please...😂
I use both DAWs and I have to say: This video is just false info. Cubase can do all of the mentioned things in similar easy ways. This video benefits from the Cubase user basically being ignorant and not knowing or caring. about the features. He would probably do all of those manually in Logic too. I am usually a fan of this channel but this is just spreading fake info.
While I use Logic, some of my friends in the production industry use Pro Tools, Studio 1, or Ableton. They have all produced outstanding works. It's much like guitars. It doesn't matter which brand you use as much as how good you are with it. Pick your favorite, commit to learning and in the end your hard work will serve you well.
Lol. I’m actually a Logic veteran of over 25 years but have experience with and own all the major DAWs. Still a great video showing some of the cool features in Logic.
Does cubase allow take alternatives as a separate feature from take lanes? I saw another cubase veteran saying you could do take alternatives by simply clicking the different take lanes, but logic can have multiple take lanes on multiple regions all within each take alternative.
@@danielpool2039 Yes, you can have trackversions with different compings. versions apply to the whole track, though. So you cannot make "track-region-comping"-versions for multiple alternmative compings switchable individually on a track per song part with this, but I don't think you mean that? I mean, actually you could do that with Compound trackparts (So container track parts that contain the comping), but that's a really "old-school"-feature at least for 25 years in cubase, and it is not so easy to navigate compared to sublanes. Idon't think that you would want to work like this.
It's been a while since I've used it, but as I recall, Cubase can do most if not all of the stuff Seids is flexing. Goofy Cubase bro is either ignorant of these features or pretending to be. Sit down with any two DAWs and you'll find that each can perform tricks that the other cannot, yet both allow you to get your work done. Unless a specific DAW has a specific feature that will save your tons of time in a specific workflow, just pick a piece of software that resonates with you and get to work.
This video is not fair at all. Next time choose a Cubase user that really knows something about it, since Cubase has almost everything shown here (not the autocoloring, and the star thing, which didn´t work well, but has autoalign).
What a weird and pointless flex on Cubase, especially considering most of the features mentioned are available in Cubase as well. Cool that you like Logic, you do you etc, but throwing shade seems counterproductive - and in this instance quite misleading, as your co-host doesn't seem to know Cubase or its myriad features at all.
Don’t be fooled, Cubase/Nuendo is a much MUCH better DAW. Sad part is, people will believe this without cross referencing whether this can be done or not in Cubase/Nuendo. Since 2006 we can do multiple takes and join them (bounce/render) as one track. I made a huge jump from Nuendo 4 to Cubase 13 and EVERYTHING she has tried say that we can’t do, most already existed in Nuendo and only got better for Cubase13.
I like this guys energy, but If he put as much enthusiasm as he did in this video with learning his daw, he’d realize Cubase has all these features for years. 😆 I use both Logic and Cubase and Logic only has a couple things I like better than Cubase, that’s the new AI instrument’s and the AI Mastering. Almost everything else is better in Cubase.
Oh, man... Dovydas, you've made a fool of yourself. Next time, bother learning your DAW. Logic is great, no doubt. But everything she shows, is easily doable in Cubase. and many more!!

@@WaveformStudioUK actually you missed the point… the video is titled “can I convert this Cubase user to Logic Pro” and that is what it was about… with my friend lol my channel is for Logic users as I don’t use Cubase sooo I really don’t think a Cubase user is going to watch this video or my channel to learn about Cubase ALSO ONCE AGAIN I promise you it’s not that serious but thanks for taking the time for writing this essay ❤️
@@SEIDS_ No, a Cubase user would not watch this channel religiously, but a Logic user, old or new, would prefer to ignore Cubase because of this video if they don't know, which will be due to **drum roll** misinformation.
I never said that someone would expect to learn Cubase from your channel.
I am not sure how to put it plainly so you can understand the principle.
It's like comparing 2 cars, both new models, but because you only have driven one of them, you come out and say the other car doesn't have wipers because you or your co-host in this video you have never used them or know where their switch is.
But anyway. It's your fans I suppose at the end of the day. So treat them as you see fit.
@@WaveformStudioUK Well said
seids.. every time.. every time.. note to self before opening logic always watch a seids video each time.. save sooooo much of life for eating biscuits..
oh my god, why you invited a guy who knows nothing about cubase?
Apparently no one have used Cubase there 😅
All the features are in cubase, and in a far better version
I’m learning so much!
Hahaha, nice one. It's Spinal Tab 2, innit? Good joke, waiting for the feature film.
Thanks, SEIDS, I just learned the Groove Track today 👍🏼
@@DuyHanhTran yay!!!!
ME TOO !! :D nearly everytime I see a video with Seids I learn more than every logic book could do so fast. Amazing ! Seids is my number 1 logic way to go when I want to learn new stuff really fast !
Spectral Layers is cheaper than logic, and does stem separation better. It's a Steinberg product and works inside Cubase.
There's Plugin Search in Logic now, it's in the latest update
@@drvoodoo3073 Yes, it is an important (but simple) feature that was missing. Now I think something similar as Control room in Cubase would be a great feature to be added to Logic in the future.
You can Do all fhis in Cubase ans more
comme on
Greetings from Lithuania!
I have NEVER purchased a new Mac... only used ones... and have never regretted leaving the PC realm. The high cost of new Macs is a lame excuse!
@@heatwavednbI don’t spell honor like that so… I’m good but thanks for the suggestion ❤️✨
@@SEIDS_ he probably meant ‚hodor‘ 😅
1:03 He's obviously a beginner cubase user and not so confident in his skill with the DAW
CUBASE can do all of these things and had these features before the logic updates. Stem splitter is the only thing logic has over CUBASE
This video is misleading.
@@frankwalders it’s really not lol
@@SEIDS_ Not in your world, but in reality it really is lol.
@@zeppo20 Vari Audio was on Cubase 5 😉
@@WaveformStudioUK Oh yeah! Better.
Corrected, regards.
i switched from logic to cubase. i have logic pro certifications but cubase is so much better as it has chord track and control room where you can put plugins purely for your monitoring and doesn't affect your master out bounce. also it has everything that logic has. i remember when logic had a chord track. i'm not sure why apple removed it after they bought it from emagic
This video makes me sick lol. Cubase had 99% of those features before Logic… From a feature perspective, Cubase is superior.
Every Logic workflow you share here is also in Cubase, except the auto-coloring of takes, which, IMHO, is useless. No offense.
Please...😂
I use both DAWs and I have to say:
This video is just false info. Cubase can do all of the mentioned things in similar easy ways. This video benefits from the Cubase user basically being ignorant and not knowing or caring. about the features. He would probably do all of those manually in Logic too. I am usually a fan of this channel but this is just spreading fake info.
😂 what a wild video. 😅
I think everything you showed can be done in every other daw. Nothing is really exclusive to logic.
So fun 😀
kkk muito legal!!!
i love this man
I think she knows why she doesn‘t invite a Cubase expert. All viewers would leave Logic and buy Cubase instead 😂
Cubase And Mac user for over 20 years So If You Do Come Over To Mac Cubase Pro Works Grate With Mac So You Can Use Both If You Want
Entertaining video but Cubase does everything demonstrated in this video.
The “ummm, actually…” guy has entered the chat.
This guy is definitely does not know what cubase is
He must be trolling, please tell me you are trolling her? because if not, this is kind of “embarrassing” (Dakes voice)
these all features in cubase i think he using cubase elements 😂
Don’t be fooled, Cubase/Nuendo is a much MUCH better DAW. Sad part is, people will believe this without cross referencing whether this can be done or not in Cubase/Nuendo. Since 2006 we can do multiple takes and join them (bounce/render) as one track. I made a huge jump from Nuendo 4 to Cubase 13 and EVERYTHING she has tried say that we can’t do, most already existed in Nuendo and only got better for Cubase13.
"You're going to give me a time crisis now" 😂
I like this guys energy, but If he put as much enthusiasm as he did in this video with learning his daw, he’d realize Cubase has all these features for years. 😆
I use both Logic and Cubase and Logic only has a couple things I like better than Cubase, that’s the new AI instrument’s and the AI Mastering. Almost everything else is better in Cubase.
They could be siblings
Lol, Cubase can do all of those things. 😂
Oh, man... Dovydas, you've made a fool of yourself.
Next time, bother learning your DAW.
Logic is great, no doubt. But everything she shows, is easily doable in Cubase. and many more!!
Cubase foes all of that for a long time and some much better than Logic
I like Dovydas, but he is not a Cubase power user. This video just show this. He doesn't know that Cubase can do pretty much all of this.
lol good guitarist but clueless Cubase user. Steinberg/yamaha are years ahead of Apple in terms of daw. Fun video but only Apple fanboys/girls are this delusional!😂😂😂
bel video
Probably he still uses Cubase sx1 LE 😂
I'm new on Logic and all those videos are so helpful! Thanks!
Lots of TRIGGERED disgruntled Cubase users in the comments 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Long time logic user , feels like home , but have submitted feature request for over 10 years , and NADA 👎, some simple workflow things that would make a huge difference, could write down a long list of things that would be fantastic adds to logic , truly hope they listen to you sieds , and Add things that are really useful and not filler AI stuff .
Thanks for the tutorials 🤘🏼
tip: Cubase is now better in so many areas. trust me, I use both. Cubase is the better Logic now. macros, better automation, better mixer and control room, multiple videos in arrange, more render options, the massive powerful midi editor... etc.
😂😂😂.... First of all. Nor this Logic pro specialist now's much about Cubase! And Nor the supposed Cubase artist needer!! knows very much Cubase D.A.W
All does features are in Cubase also with a slight different approach but same thing... All But (automatic track take color selection) Nah Cubase don't do that. But does this justify jumping in to buy a Mac and Learn from scratch a new D.A.W 🤫😉.... Seems like a very immature conclusion!! And by the way... if this Cubase artist is seriously a Cubase artist and by this time don't know how to use the same features in that platform.... It is maybe because he's not too interested in learning how to till now.... So I doubt very much jumping in a new D.A.W will make him learn every feature about the new platform also....
Annnnd!
About getting a Mac Computer... 😂😂 Only do this if you have the money to throw on that over expensive platform and you don't know how to put together well configured PC Machine! Have them both my self... And will tell a secret: They both do te same jooob! However you can put togheder a tremendous PC Machine probable a lot more powerful than a Mac you can afford. But for a lot lot less money for sure!
It's not hard to convert someone who knows VERY little about the program he's actually using lol
Cool and funny 😂
People like Davitas, are super annoying. WAY too much energy and not enough situational awareness. But you handled it well Seids. Good video.
It's easy to convert someone who doesn't know nothing about his stuff
Great, all the features shown were copied from Cubase and have now been incorporated into Logic Pro by Apple.
Ricola -> Who invented it?!
But your video was funny.
Yep, he doesn't know Cubase to start with. Totally lame to make a comparison video and not knowing the product you compare to.
Cubase has those same features had them for years .. 😅 .. they even have shortcut keys or you can create your own shortcut key command to perform those things with the pressure of 1 key 😂😂😂😂 .. she must have never used Cubase 😂😂😂
Cubase does all that stuff as easily, and often in more precise, configurable ways. This guy obviously doesn't know the software he preteds to use.
Never cubase is THE BEST!!!!
no Offence but this guy has no idea about Cubase .. u have to try really hard to covert a pro cubase user .. this guy doesn't have a clue about Cubase features
Misinformation pure and simple.
Brother and sister?...
I hope this is a joke.. :) Maybe you should try to convince someone who actually knows anything about Cubase to switch over instead, and make it a challenge? Him not knowing about these features in Cubase probably just means he's got no use for them, and if that's the case why switch because of them?? And if he would benifit from having these features, he could just stay with Cubase because Cubase can do all of it (and better too).. Embarresing. :P
Cubase user? haha.. sorry but this features are in Cubase way more intuitive as in Logic. I love using Logic since years but in cubase that recording features are way better. This video is a fail in terms of content but very funny!!
