Maxed it out today and fumbled a +74% chaos attacks buff run on only 4 fear. Pro tip; never take big chop hammer if your build is a spin to win one. You will have to dash attack every time you want to omega attack ; _ ;
I tried a low health build with related arcana atk buff and artemis keepsake. The big chop with Aphrodite boons hit for 3661 dmg(20% crit from Thanatos Aspects as well). It's was crazy nuking bosses but risky as well cause you always want to keep health below 30 hp -.-
Got my first Chronos kill running the scythe aspect, aphro attack, and the hammer for the omega attack (the one that lets you use your other attacks during the whirlwind). Being able to dash while the whirlwind is active makes all the difference. Absolutely insane damage. Spin to win is back baby

If you guys want a free win just put on storm drain (Zeus cast) and preferably glowing coal with this Thanatos aspect it is a free win. Each lightning adds a percent of crit chance and also each lightning has that chance to crit
Healthy Rebound is a lot better than it looks when ya remember that fountains give 40% health, and that surge will almost certainly push you to 100% health paired with that boon
Insane Combo for Whirlwind is being able to use attacks / move while whirling + shooting your whirlwind out. Combine this with Aphrodite + Poseidon. Dual boon makes it so it doesnt matter if you are in melee range. You can basically constantly shoot (with slow time) your whirl and reposition and right away shoot another. I almost got chronos 20 with it but got killed at 30 % /cry
Best use of Ash after unlocking all Arcana that I've found so far is using it to craft Shadow, which can then be used with a Cinder to craft 8 Moon Dust
The one complaint I have up until now is that I feel there should be some crazier Hammers. In Hades 1 there were some hammers that really changed how the weapons work, like the Rocket Launcher and the shotgun for the Railgun, or the explosive arrows and multishot for the bow. The closest I've seen to something like that is the big chop hammer for the axe.

Godpool is three, plus Selene and Hermes, plus random Artemis and Chaos. Additional boons are also offered by surface friends, but Chaos is unavailable. Hades also is available 95% of the time in Tartarus.

One of them has been playing for a week, another one is starting today (now that he's got a new Xbox controller that isn't broken) I'm very excited to be able to sit in a discord call with them and see what weapons they like using and what boons they think are good and wondering if I was as bad when I was new as they are now LMFAOOOO ♥️😋 Told them both to hold off on Hades 2 until there's a sale going on simply because the games are different enough, they're still super new to #1, and I don't want them to have the story spoiled lol

did this up in greece for some Testament progress against Polyphemus, surprisingly effective honestly more then anything it's that Demeter carries runs so hard, giving Origination on a single cast is so strong, double that with aphro attack those two together can basically carry and you just need a third god for the mana regen boon (since both theirs are kinda doo doo)
I just got an accidental build on the staff that is pretty stupid as a melee weapon. Faster than the daggers too. I believe its apollo that has a boon that gives a chance to hit twice, one hammer that guarantees that you hit twice, and one more hammer that makes you attack rapidly at the cost of your omega attack. Was going for the hammer that shoots 2 specials and ended with that monstrosity. Was mad at first until i realized i was dishing out 1k damage quick with the Aphrodite common attack boons at LEVEL 1. Imagine the damage you could get if you get a rare version at level 3. Overall, staff is gonna be my go to weapon from now on.

apollo is good one for the axe special build, there's the one hammer that doubles the projectiles for the omega special, combined with the overlapping enlarged hitbox from apollo, hits like truck from far distances
15:13 I don't know if its intentional (i have a feeling its not), but I had a run where I took the well of charon item to guarantee a chaos gate where next possible, and it spawned in asphodel making it impossible to access since you'll get teleported out as soon as you finish the challenge in there
I don't know if it's a glitch, but while using this aspect if you get the hammer that lets you attack and special while in your whirlwind, only the first hit of the whirlwind counts as a stack. So I'd recommend not taking that hammer with this aspect.
There is a strange quark I found that I really don't like with aspect of Thanatos. If you take the hammer that makes it so you can use your normal attack while your omega attack is going, you will only get a 1% increase on your crit chance even if the omega hits an enemy multiple times. I dont really know why that's the case but it's a hammer that is probably worth avoiding with that aspect unless it gets changed (or fixed if it's not intentional)
Soul mate is actually better than it seems at first glance, I'd have to say. while the limited hitch is a downside, it makes PS way way easier to apply and keep up 100% when your main damage comes from a hitch inducing attack, and is essentially a flat 20% damage increase.
I love Aphrodite’s new boons. Like I one stacked her up to above 250% damage bonus up close. With the axe. So I was charging up to do 175 per hit in a spin, just in raw damage.
Idk about you guys, but I found it way harder to get going in this game when I first bought it than Hades 1. Then I got through 10 or so runs, and it’s become a little too easy. I feel like Elysium used to buffer builds that were bad but I can basically walk to Chronos every run now lol
It was definitely a wall for me when I first started but abusing your cast circle and the trap/environment is paramount until you unlock better upgrades.
They unfortunately broke Thanatos Aspect with the most recent update. I don’t know if it’s a bug or an intended nerf, but now getting Psychic Whirlwind or the upgrade that sends the whirlwind out in front of you makes the crit chance only go up by 1% regardless of how many times you hit with the whirlwind.
One thing I'm curious to hear about: why do you not seem to rate the Hermes boon 'Hard Target' at all? The reduced projectile speed seems pretty good when I try it for many of the bosses and also for some enemies in small rooms that love to fill the screen with bullshit.
have you tried pan aspect with poseidon special? it’s so easy to build, all you need to do is pom the special and get the poseidon legendary and you’re doing 800 - 1k per omega special (with fully upgraded aspect)
Im thinking about doing a run with double up from poseidon but maybe turning it into epic or heroic with hera's boon or narcisus keepsake and create a selene curse with it. What you guys think, is it a cool idea?

Why not hephy on the special? I feelt it was super strong, bucause it can be proced by taping special when point blank and at that point it is free 400 dmg every 20 seconds. It's super quick
shame its bugged with the "attack while using omega attack" and "omega attack flies forwards" hammers, each spin stops giving 1% crit each, and it just becomes 1% for the entire omega attack
Its because Chronos has Terrible Telegraphing and Wonky Hitboxes.... Or maybe they were both Terrible but it's Harder to tell than Hades because Zagreus can Chain dashes Together for Increased Invulnerability. 🤔
wait till you try chronos on 20 fear....in order to get to 20 you have take the fears that power the mobs up AVOID the one that makes them faster cause it makes chronos almost impossible lol

Useful tech - if you charge the spin and spacebar instead of letting go, you will dash before you spin

theres a duo boon that gives 200% special and attack dmg as long as you dont have boons on the attack and special so thats an alternative to aphrodite
Omega Attack/Special boons count? I don't remember off the top of my head if they fill the slot or not.

I feel like that chronos dialogue before the fight confirms that the 6th weapon won’t be a scythe, which was a common theory

Demeter has a boon that makes u deal a lot more damage with the omega attack for only +10 mana. It's very OP it made me finish cerburs in like 40sec

I hate that the scythe and axe are pretty much the same weapon, one's just slower and stronger.

Haven't played this game yet, but it definitely looks like Chronos is much more difficult than Hades.
Its because Chronos has Terrible Telegraphing and Wonky Hitboxes....
Or maybe they were both Terrible but it's Harder to tell than Hades because Zagreus can Chain dashes Together for Increased Invulnerability. 🤔
4 Gods are definetly possible, have 4 right now in a run ^^
The god pool is for 3 but I've wound up with 4 some times as well because of buying the 3rd from a shop and having the 4th on an exit.

Unlocked at the cauldron eventually (possibly have to gift every god a nectar first, not sure).
Im not a fan of daggers, i prefer the axe its so much more fun and does a ton of damage!
wait till you try chronos on 20 fear....in order to get to 20 you have take the fears that power the mobs up AVOID the one that makes them faster cause it makes chronos almost impossible lol
