I love how frenzied and urgent this song is. It’s like we’re rushing to get somewhere, you can hear the song catch it’s breath at some points but it’s an adrenaline rush until the very end when it finally reaches its destination and just falls off gently without the drums. It’s almost like a sigh of relief.
You're absolutely right. If you look up the movie "Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem" its a movie based around the daft punk discovery album (this album). During this song in the movie they're actually in the middle of a life or death car chase. You should watch it! It's here on RUclips for free.

I love how this song just progressively evolves into a masterpiece. It starts the simplest way possible and then the lyrics are added, the synth, more sounds and it turns into a masterpiece. Most underrated daft punk by far

I listened to it on buses in Brazil 20 years ago, and I listen to it now walking hills around Belfast. Uplifts me, makes me think and reflect, but always cry at the end. The most epic tune ever

@@Dxuser5 Nah, just busy. Every second of every day, I tell ya! I might have a lot to do, waking up early and laying down late, but the one thing I can rely on to keep me going... is these beats!
What a crescendo: it starts well (0:00 - 1:14), grows strong (1:15 - 2:22), becomes superb (2:23-3:17) and ends epic (3:18 - 3:57)!
This is really interesting, tho. They took a one-second sample, looped it over and over, and trough instrumentation and reharmonization, turned into a completely different song that doesn't get boring, even though in paper it sounds like it should. Kind of like Around the World, wich doesn't get boring for basically the same reason despite being just the same talkbox loop for seven minutes.
The chords at 1:29 totally remind me of Porter Robinson and Madeon. It's awesome that they were so influenced by these guys!

Damn I love this song so much knowing about the movie and just this whole scene and how with Shep’s reveal to save the band gives off this intergalactic sound in comparison to the stern and consistent bass of the beginning of the song. So good
