If they were, we wouldn’t hear about years of bad behavior from these men. And i say that while being guilty of it. I look back at my ex, and rationally, he was not acting in ways that a person should still be in love with. At all. And yet, i kept giving him chances. I didn’t want to be lonely and i didn’t want to admit he didn’t love me. A huge part of why we end up so unhappy is fear of letting go, imo. Long story short, he’d asked me to the movie one time and he was cracking jokes, next thing the guy behind me went ‘shut up.’ He was also with his gf. Omg I will never forget tht day. It was as if hell broke loose. This man/boy whatever was ready to risk it all. He ran outta the theatre and told me to wait there and waited for this guy outside to confront him. Straight up walked up to him and ‘went who did you tell to shut up?!’ Say tht ish to my face again?!’ By this time, I had come out the theatre bc I knew him and knew he was up to no good. Had to grab on his arm to pull away from this dude and he’s holding my hand and still yelling at this guy. The guy’s gf, myself we all scared about what’s abou to go down. Luckily, I was able to pull him away. Well, he choose to. He was sooooo angry. I’ve never seen him tht upset, he was shaking. He couldn’t even drive like sheesh let me never call this man if someone did something to me bc sheesh. We made it home safe and had to have a long talk in the parking lot.
