I appreciate this video so much! I just got a pixie a week ago and I hate it! You put into words exactly what I am feeling right now! I didn’t know why I hate it, and this is exactly why! You’re the best.
I know exactly what you mean. I've had short hair cuts before that I didn't like and it was hard to figure out why. Its like that with new styles. I think this grown pixie u have now looks gorgeous!
I love this length on you, you look fabulous. Take pics of new cut, front side, back to show them what you want . I love my hair short, but each time I grow back out and cut , I feel bad all over again til I get use to it again. Then I wondered why I didn't do sooner. All the growing out I just looked bad for 6 months!! I prefer it this length on you myself. Do what makes you happy.
I'm sorry you hated your pixie at first! I think it's very dependent on your own style, etc. for example, my first pixie was quite long on top (sort of like yours is now). I wanted it shorter on top, but it's a lot easier to take length off than to add it after the fact 😁I was a little annoyed that my hair dresser didn't give me that cut right off the bat (I actually switched hairdressers right away, because I was annoyed he didn't listen to me). But, seeing this video, I can understand why my first hairdresser was concerned about making the plunge. I've realized I'm a little more daring than most, lol.
I love how bold you are! I'm glad you found a style and hairstylist you love :) You look fabulous!
yeah- I had that too... I've had a short boyish pixie cut a fair few times and loved it- but every time I've gone into a new hair dresser after growing it out to a shaggy bob I have to spend half an hour explaining that yes I actually do want it that short and break out photos with me having a short hair to convince them... Which I guess I get now that I realise people have real regret over it.
I think it really suits you
you look just perfect, in my opinion you shouldn't dye it another color, currently I can't stop watching your hair it's just perfect from all angles! glad you learned to like it, it suits you so well! I wish I could have a pixie myself, but several factors show me it wouldn't probably be a wise idea in my case.
I LOVE your pixie cut. It looks so amazing on you.
I've had a pixie since April 2017. I got Scarlett Johnson's pixie. I like it but I really miss my long hair. Since June I have been letting it grow. So far no hair cuts and my hair looks good. The back really hasn't grown as fast as I thought but the top and sides have! My hair looks almost like a bob which is amazing. I still might get the dreaded mullet who knows lol
I like this! Make more and let us know how you are still liking your cut.
I was forced into a pixie, horrible mishap at the hairdresser. The majority of my layers for my short bob were cut 2 inches from my scalp. I had to go back to another hairdresser the next day to have my hair fixed. The pixie was better than what I left with the first day, I cried for hours straight with that one. But my confidence was definitely shot when it got chopped off. The hairdresser kept telling me I was lucky I had the face for the cut, I didn't feel that. It's been about 2 months, I've had it trimmed up and evened out, since my hair was extremely butchered and to not go too short with the first fixing it had to be grown out to then be cut short again. It's been a heck of a go. But it's finally growing on me, some days better than others. I plan on growing it out to around your length of I do keep it a pixie.
Your cut very much fits your face, very pretty.
I agree it looks far more voluminous now looks lovely x
Undercut would be awesome on you too, especially with that thick hair.
I've considered it! Maybe I'll think about it more seriously if/when I get bored of this style. Thanks for commenting :)
I think you really suit it sweetie , i got mine about 2 mths ago after wanting it for about 2 yrs i love it its so easy 😉👍❤️
Awkward growing out stage is totally true... for about a month I had a borderline mullet. It was... an experience. Good luck.
awwwww you look great! so pretty!!! love you!!!
Yes girl! I’d like to see more pixie videos and different ways you style it. I just got a pixie and trying to learn how to style it.
You got it :) What do you find most difficult about styling it?
Ava Elizabeth hi Ava! Thank you for responding. I have a tough time trying to spike the top part of my hair. The back spikes up easy but the crown is hard. I wish I can upload a pic to show you what I’m trying to accomplish.
You can DM me the pic on Instagram or Twitter :) My account for both are @AvaElizabethYT
Ava Elizabeth I DM’d u on Instagram thank you!!!!!
I got a pixie too n I super hate it :( I can't wait till it grows out.
I love it. It looks so nice on you. Very feminine. You’re gorgeous
Love your hair in this video.
Yeah this looks much better than the first video
My pixie was a work in progress. I’ve been growing it out for two years almost. Honestly, I’m going to chop it off again soon haha. I think I have my likes and dislikes down now.
lol the same thing happened to me!!! my first pixie i was shocked and i absolutely hated it, but after a couple more cuts, i couldn't be happier
I'm so happy to hear that you love it now! :) Do you think it was mainly a change of attitude/confidence or did you change the style of your pixie?
I changed the style :P at first my mom was very scared it was going to be too butch, so she didn't let me get it properly short, and i ended up with a sort of botched undercut. after that she had to go shopping during the haircut, so i ended up getting what I wanted, and she ended up liking it better too!
Growing out my pixie was so awkward! I’m glad you love yours now!
It looks really good.
It looks very nice on you :)
i have had my pixie cut for 6 months and i’m growing it out now. 1 people find it hard to know my gender with my fashion sense is very tomboyish and it’s hard to control
You look so great with a pixie!! I hope you start to like it, it really suits you. I have had my hair short for more than five years and I absolutely love it. If you are going to keep it short you should totally play around with different styles since you still have some length on top. Experimenting with different styles has definitely made my pixie experience way more exciting!
I have a similar cut but I’m growing it out,, it’s the best kind of short hair
Love the pixie cut and keep making videos
I like these videos about ur pixie, I feel like I'm getting more prepared to have my haircut and I'm less nervous, can u do others about this topic?
I like your cut!
Part of my hair is weird right now, I try the side flip and the little part on the right of my head sticks up 😩 it takes so much spray to get it to stay down. I use davroe which is vegan 😍🌱
I got a pixie cut yesterday, I hope I feel the same soon because I’m not extremely confident with my hair
I'm glad I stumbled across this video. I got a pixie cut yesterday and I don't like it. I'm not sure if its because I'm not used to it or I don't like the cut? I'm currently just wearing hats... I'll give my hair a week or two and see how I feel. Thank you!
It's a huge adjustment! It's been almost 2 years now and I love it! It just took me a little while to get used to it and gain confidence.
You look great!
I'm going to get a pixie next week mostly because of the weather. No heating in my house and washing/drying my hair is not a pleasant experience since it's so cold.
I'm overweight so I feel like really short hair like that will make me look even more overweight but i'm not doing it solely for looks so wish me luck.
I also think hair tends to look awkward for a couple of weeks no matter what cut, then suddenly it's like "hey this haircut looks good now lol".
Update: Got my pixie cut yesterday! and I actually love it and on the contrary I don't think my face looks rounder or anything, in fact people have told me that it looks longer and slimmer and I believe them because they would definitely tell me if my face looked rounder. Anyway if anyone here is on the fence to get this haircut because of your weight, don't let that hold you back!
That's SO awesome! Glad you feel confident :)
What Pixie-related videos do you want to see?? Comment below :)
I want a pixie growing out series . if you decide in a year time to grow it out.
When I eventually grow it out, I definitely will! Thanks!
What is your hair type? Is your hair thin or thick? Your video is the perfect reference to show my hair stylist, but I need to know if this hair style will work with my hair. My hair is very thick.
I would say I don't have very thick or very thin hair, probably more middle of the road. But I think similar styles could work for all hair types! Your stylist will know what cuts look best for your hair texture :) Good luck!
Yeah, this looks better. 👍🏼
elsa Grace she looks so cute in hair style really suits her
Like it... needs more texture...
You look great with short hair
U look so cute in hair style
You're going on & on about horrible how you felt about your pixie. Get over it! It was just a hair cut & quite frankly it looked better with the pixie.
