Just bought a 2019 limited technology with every bell and whistle. It was a corporate car so it was never titled till I purchased it. The ONLY unfortunate thing was it had 18515 miles. Out the door it was over 30K. That being said, this is the best car I have ever owned. I have every creature comfort. I have a luxury car without the luxury price. I now look for excuses to get in my car and just drive. Even with some of the new features on the 2020, my 2019 is head and shoulders above the new version. Kia needs to scream from the roof tops about this car and keep adding features and not taking anything away.
Glad you’re enjoying your car dude. I’m afraid Kia has dealt the final deathblow to this car with what they did to the 2020 model. The back is fine but I think the front looks ugly now. Now we have fake two exhaust "vents" in the back when they used to be real ones. So I don’t get why they still kept the duel exhaust when you don’t get to see any of it. They took some features away from the technology model and added it to the SXL model but then took away a bunch of features that the SXL model had originally. So now the top-of-the-line one doesn’t have the manual window shades or the power back window one. No more fog lamps no more head up display no more suede headliner no more power trunk no more paddle shifters I’m assuming no more rear heated seats (Alex didn't address that out so I don’t know ) Only two pluses I can see is the larger infotainment screen and the separate temp display. What a shame.

There's an all new model of the K7 that will debut shortly in Korea. The Hyundai Grandeur outsells the K7 by a 3 to 1 margin here and Kia felt they had to speed up the redesign. Should be good!
Alex, your reviews are awesome and very detailed. I took this 2020 Kia Cadenza Limited for a test drive. Love the car. It was a little too expensive for me and I settled for a 2019 model.
an absolute kick in the teeth o Cadenza is Kia's very own Sorento, the all new one. Almost 6 inches shorter while doubling on the practicality and usability, and man is it modern!
I would agree with the Crossover rather than sedan. The more chair-like seating position and ground clearance are helpful for those of us with bad backs and even worse knees. And I believe your cat just informed you that you'd be receiving a 'gift' for that bit of humiliation. Likely in a shoe or on your bed pillow.
I am a big sedan fan myself. If there still were old-fashioned land yachts available, I would gladly buy one now; if I wanted to restore a vintage land yacht, I'd get myself a Lincoln Continental Mark IV or V right away. Even as is now, I've been driving the original Hyundai Genesis for 12 years now, and love love love it.
Man I love this car. Almost bought a 2017 Kia Cadenza, but went with a 2017 Buick LaCrosse (thanks Alex on Autos). If anything happens to my LaCrosse, the Cadenza, the K900, or one of the Genesis models will do!! I do regret Kia put in a smaller LCD instrument screen though.
Still driving my 2014 that I bought new. Best car I've ever had aside from my 07 Mazda 3 (but for different reasons). Just now changed the front struts and brakes. Has needed nothing else since new, still has the original battery which is now 11 years old. Wife wants me to get a new car before it starts breaking down but I still love driving this car. Looking at a used one of these or Genesis G80 with ultra low miles.
You nailed it in regards to one of the reasons many are moving away from sedans. I am a sedan guy, but the last one that I could easily get in and out of was my 2011 Buick LaCrosse CSX. I keep looking at sedans but they keep getting lower hip points and rooflines. While they look "sleek" they are more difficult for us older adults to get in and out of. That's not to mention someone wanting to install a car seat in the back. Makes me sad, but it's into yet another SUV/Crossover for me. We've been forced out of them, it's not that we don't want them.
Alex officially declares the trade offs from an SUV/crossover are negligible to the point where he'd choose one of those instead of any large sedan. It's over for that bodystyle.
I had a 2014 Cadenza with 188k miles. Never had any issues what so ever. Just oil change, tires, brake pad. Trade in for 2018 Kia K9. This car is best car for the money. I just bought a 2013 Kia Optima with 121k miles for my son and this is another great car. They are making great cars. They need a new logo. Lol
Yes! I got to test drive a 2018 iteration after finding out the Kia dealership I was already at had one on site. Have to admit, this is definitely a car you want be driven in, there wasn't much going on in terms of driving dynamics. But it felt solid and was super comfortable. However it looks like they stopped selling the Cadenza here in Canada after the 2020 model year 😭
An under-rated sedan that is a terrific value. Problems are Kia purchasing and warranty service experiences are terrible. I've also read that the paint/clearcoat is thinly applied. With so few cars sold, service outside of warranty might get expensive (minimal availability for parts).
Fair warning from a owner of a 17 technology. there's no torque steer but wheel spin is a big issue. Plus the new kia 8 speed transmission seems to want to get in the highest gear possible all the time. And it's slow to downshift. Also not a fan of the new front end and what's with ditching the fog lights? Do like the new center stack.
The 8-speed was my absolute least favorite "feature" of my 2017 SXL. "Slow to downshift" doesn't begin to cover it; at times mine would flat refuse to kick into a lower gear by itself to accelerate up a freeway on-ramp, and even forcing the issue with the paddle shifters took several seconds too long.
Thanks to Alex we have learned that auto manufacturers do squeeze the rear seat room and luggage space from all sedans making them a mixture of 4 seats 4 doors coupes and sport cars pushing consumers into SUV but simultaneously killing all the market for their sedans and 2 doors sports cars. Even in SUVs world the coupe shape is increasing the market share despite its lack of practicality.
I have a 2018 cadenza SXL MSRP $45k but because these aren’t selling well it was out the door $38k. These cars are amazing and if you can get your hands one one you won’t regret it!
This might've lost the power trunk option from 2019 to 2020 but it still has the smart trunk that automatically pops open when you have the Smart Key on you
look at all that gloss black plastic, I can't believe it's still used after so many years of complaints. definitely glad to see real gauges, though I'm surprised it doesn't extend lower down Still, this would be on my shortlist were I shopping for a FWD sedan
It's kind of funny to think, looking back at this, that I much prefer the analog gauges in this car vs the all digital clusters that plague the industry today.
Couldn't agree more with Alex's assumption on why CUV's are more popular; the fastback styling is limiting to some families needs. We need a sedan like the old Volvo 700 Series to make a comeback.
Great presentation, very pleasing design, but how inefficient is that power train! That poor performance (23mpg) means fuel costs of £2,500 here in the U.K and $3,300 per annum in the US.

Alex, really loves dodge as he seems to brings it up a ton when reviewing other brands.
That's because DODGE is spelled F-U-N
Thank you for your video and the indepth comparison. Thoroughly enjoyed all the information.

It’s amazing to see Accord has so much interior/trunk space despite being a size smaller!
I have a 2.0 2019 accord touring.... I think it is an amazingly good vehicle with enough power to be a bit of fun.
I have a 2018 cadenza SXL MSRP $45k but because these aren’t selling well it was out the door $38k. These cars are amazing and if you can get your hands one one you won’t regret it!
Why are they loosing value that fast??
@@yeb7997 they don’t sell here, that goes for most full-size sedans in the US tho
@@DefineScrib good to know, I will take advantage of it soon!
I got the 2018 Cadenza and I love it. I might have to check in too this one
This might've lost the power trunk option from 2019 to 2020 but it still has the smart trunk that automatically pops open when you have the Smart Key on you
look at all that gloss black plastic, I can't believe it's still used after so many years of complaints. definitely glad to see real gauges, though I'm surprised it doesn't extend lower down
Still, this would be on my shortlist were I shopping for a FWD sedan
It's kind of funny to think, looking back at this, that I much prefer the analog gauges in this car vs the all digital clusters that plague the industry today.
Couldn't agree more with Alex's assumption on why CUV's are more popular; the fastback styling is limiting to some families needs. We need a sedan like the old Volvo 700 Series to make a comeback.
Happy Thanksgiving Alex
Heavy BMW inspiration from the front view, but I still like it
I’ve seriously never seen this model and if I did I can’t remember but it looks nice the grill reminds me of a Maserati
I've got a 14 cadenza and I quiet like it. I really wish it had AWD though.
Great presentation, very pleasing design, but how inefficient is that power train! That poor performance (23mpg) means fuel costs of £2,500 here in the U.K and $3,300 per annum in the US.
Kia really needs a new logo.
Why?
@@papaagidi2838 the KIA logo is kinda ugly and it reminds people of the garbage they used to be
New logo confirmed for next gen K7 (or K8)
New logo coming Spring of 2021
Beatrice is so cute!
