Some times The "Weird Al" Band actually sound better than the band they are covering. I am not talking about the lyrics but the sound. Foil sounds better than Royales. His band and producer are top notch!.
So I just finished watching the video here of Weird Al getting his star on the walk of fame. my brother started listening to Dr. Demento and that is how i got hooked... on his show.. it started as a 4 hour show on Sunday nights with the last hour i believe being the Top 10 weekly... i wish Dr. Demento had said how many times Weird Al made the top 10 through the years.... think of all the wacky musicians who may never have the same opportunity to have a star on the walk of fame, that were also on Dr. Demento radio show on KMET... i listened to the show with weird al playing for like 20 years.. the sad part was that through the time KMET Change formats and also station names to i think the WAVE (EWWW ) Dr. D and show with weird al moved to another station..... 1 thing wrong with this picture is that Dr. Demento may not have a star on the walk of fame... if you remember Wolfman Jack i bet he has 1... Weird al Made all the parody songs FAMOUS and the Original songs last longer.... think about it, if someone wanted to find out what and who did the real song, they would look that up... with Micheal Jackson in the Rock and roll hall of fame i think... isnt it time for weird al to be in as well, all the bands and music he parodied has to be in the 50s or hundreds and a few big bands are in the RRHOF i am very happy Dr. D was there... HOWEVER I am a little disappointed with the fans a little... when dr. demento got introduced... THERE WAS NO Dr. Demento Dr. Demento... the Dr. is in... that's how he started his show... i loved the song another one rides the bus... i did not know it was the first song weird al recorded lol... but it is great.... i am glad weird al is still going.... side note my gpa played the accordion professionally and arranged music and taught private lessons for over 50 years... the accordion is not a sexy instrument to play but it is powerful and can create many types of sounds like the organ... Weird al shows that the accordion is not just for polka, like my grandfather he showed another side to how you can play and enjoy listening to the accordion in a fun way... and made it a very front and center piece to Weird Als music Stay demented in a Good way all...

My dad would literally make weird al jokes growing up.. he’d have us watch his movie all the time 🤣🤣🤣 and he’d do impressions.. what’s even funnier is my dad looked like him around the time he was super famous in the beginning 😂😂
