You spent more time talking about not removing the front skid plate than I would’ve taken to remove the front skid plate! You went through a lot of work to avoid taking 15 seconds to remove 6 bolts.....
I drive over curbs sometimes and my drinks are launched with gusto. I need that articulation. Also speed bumps are bad news. Factory sway bar is a bit aggressive at times.
I removed my front sway bar on my '06 Tundra, and it handles much better off road. I've gone through some ruts and washes here in the desert I wd not have been able to negotiate if I had it on. It does handle differently on the road (sways more, etc.) but if you are aware of it, it doesn't catch you off guard. However, I have a 2" lift, so my vehicle rides stiffer than stock anyway. Removing the bar from the '06 takes abt 10 minutes. No skid pan to remove.
I just reminded mine today lol, on my '05 double cab. Going to take it out tomorrow and test drive it on the road which is my main concern. For any updates after several years?
Sold mine three years ago, but I had no issues. Just go easy to be sure of the handling. You don't want any curve balls. @@rickymedina7563
It's great to see the videos up and running again. I took my sway bar off about 6 months ago, deff make the washboard and whoops better. When can we see some of this truck vs the Raptor Challenge?
The raptor would destroy the tundra off road any day
Do you still have the front sway bar off? Any comparison videos of it on vs off?
Swaybar quick disconnects. Then best of both worlds
+Leroy Truk perfect! Who makes them for the 2015 Tundra. I know a lot of folks who would be all over them. Thanks.
Tundra4x4. Club I just bought a 17 Tundra limited built by iamroamr out of Cali. It was the 2017 warn SEMA truck. It has 3.5” lift with icon stage 8 suspension but I will be towing with it to full Moab Offroad hunting . They took off rear swaybar and has stock front and I’m changing to TRD sport front and rear swaybars with quick disconnects ( you only have to disconnect one side obviously to allow for full articulation). I can’t find anyone who makes them but JKS and others make tons for Jeeps . I have a channel so check out the updates. I have done the same thing on our hummer H3 championship edition and plan to do it on our 19 Chevy Bison . I will post back updates. Should be done after Christmas . Also putting full RCI skids under it . Love your content ! Here’s my truck ruclips.net/video/6CLOXbaU18o/видео.html
@@drjhunter you need to post h3 and bison videos on your channel.
Did you ever get any off-road before and after comparison footage or pics?
Awesome video
Thanks but it would have been quicker to remove the front wheel? Going to do this for my sequoia for a smoother ride. I film while storm chasing
I would advise to check tire wear after X amount of miles and re-align if needed.
+John thanks John, that’s an excellent point.
For the sway bar being disconnected?
How’s your truck on-road and off-road without the front sway bar?
Off road, it’s awesome. There is a little more body roll on road, but much less than I was expecting. I find it to be manageable.
I just got done removing my front sway bar on my 14 Silverado ten minutes ago. Having the front wheels off the ground and eying the lower strut bolt to the cv axle the suspension did not lower at all. Driving now the front wheels can now move independently from each other. I would not recommend this method towing etc. tonight me and a buddy will be heading through Florence Az a place called box canyon as I live 22miles from excited to see the difference as I traveled through there many times prior. I have had the truck in the air several times not to be a jerk to it but just traveling a little bit to quick and had a surprise obstacle. Which does not take much in these. I have witness full bottom. So with what I said above the sway bar does not limit travel at all. But just articulation if you call it that because it connects the two lower control arms from each other. I like your truck good video and have a great rest of your week!
Why just the front sway bar?
What about the rear?
Nice!
What do u do when the nuts in the frame break loose and spins,
You cut the bolts and take the sway bar off…that’s why I’m here
