Im enjoying my experience so far with the P9P XL. Biggest gripe that Google didn't improve on, is the face unlock, at times, it absolutely sucks, especially in low to dark lighting.

Nice "user" focused review 😀. I went from Pixel 7 to Pixel 9 Pro, wanted the smaller phone but with the "pro" features - my only complaint is it doesn't come with 256gb as standard (and may be that some features are US only, hopefully they will eventually reach the UK). It IS a better phone in every way over Pixel 7, massively so, not really. Was it worth the upgrade, well, with a pretty decent trade-in, for me YES 😁.
Have had my 9 PRO XL 512GB HAZEL color since August 22nd. Just love it. Does everything so smoothly with no hiccups whatsoever. Ohhh yes out of the box comes with an amazing AI re Gemini Advanced that I use daily with iPhone 16 PRO max comes with ...no AI its a future feature. The screen on the XL is incredibly good. Video boost at 8K is truly amazing. Your review was a Rollercoaster ride UP and DOWN unreal with such great device.
Great review! And yes. Pixel needs to bring back the 2 front facing speakers like the HTC One m series. And "markup" is in the Google photos app. It usually pops up when you first click on edit (at the bottom of the screen) and if not it's all the way to the right next to "more". And upgrading from my P8P to the P9P was way worth it to me for finally being shot to have A smaller pro. And the battery is amazing. Made it 71 hours almost 3 weeks ago. My plan is to hold on to this for lots of years or... (And this is a big or...) trade it for the second version of the tsmc chip Pixel if it's much better. But Google needs to bring us a power button fingerprint sensor and 2 front facing speakers like you mentioned! They also should improve the way you get to the settings menu, brightness slider and turning on and off Bluetooth options like Samsung has it set up. My s23 and s23u do not get any use but the samsung implementation in those areas is executed very well. Dope video! Eye Subscribed! 🤙🏽🕶️💜
0:31 That's incorrect. Pixel 1, 2, 3, and 4 series had two size options without any or much difference in specs. They only started to get silly and weird with Pixel 6. Glad they've come back to their senses with the 9 series.
We can split the difference here. Specs were similar, but the screen resolution has always been the major difference. The 1 and 4 were pretty similar phones, being Hard OLEDs and Soft OLEDs respectively, but the 2 and 3 had different front and rear designs, excluding the a series of course. The way I see “pro” is higher quality display (Apple is kind of low on resolution, but the pros are higher resolution and pixel density on the pros, minus the 12 and 12 pro literally being the same screen) and telephoto option. The compromises were always screen, battery, size, and camera, whereas this year it is battery (arguable) and size. I mean even the small pro gets the temp sensor, which is a surprise to me

Call screening is great for businesses and spam calls that get through the initial screening.
