I'm really excited about pixel 10 Apple did make a big anniversary thing when they released the iPhone X So pixels if rumours come true gets the TSMC fabricated chip should be a big boost in performance, thermal management and battery life.
It's only missing Telephoto lens (even if they can give 2x) Vapour chamber (it does make impact in place where I live where in peak summer it's over 45°) so having some sort of cooling mechanism is appreciated.
@@RealWorldReview Redmagic phones have fans in them so they stay pretty cool. The Pixel 9 Pro has the vapor cooling but it still dims the display in hot weather to conserve power.
A couple of points I disagree with: 1. Having the A18 Pro in a phone that you hope can last 6-7 years is a benefit, not overkill. It makes it more future-proof. My 5-year-old iPhone 11PM still performs well. 2. I have had a few Pixels that have not stood the test of time, with two Pixel 6s failing after the warranty expired. So, I would not recommend Pixels for longevity unless I was unlucky. Also, I would say that in a mature market like this, no one cares who copies who, and many of the features the Pixel had were from older phones, so it is the circle of life. For the first time ever, I have ignored the Pixel 9 line. I see it as a minimal upgrade, a stopgap before Google releases its own chip design next year and ditches Samsung Fabs for TSMC. With the increase in prices and the lack of incentives, it is an easy pass, especially as my Pixel 8 Pro on Android 15 is seemingly as solid as the Pixel 9 in regard to battery life and thermals.

I was in 80f weather yesterday taking bts shots an immediately the screen was dimming on my iPhone 16 Pro. Why does every phone get hot nowadays
