I discovered her in Glück's Orphée et Eurydice, in the Robert Wilson version. She sings Orphée and she's great.

please look at the men of the choir behind the singers at 2:10 ... hahaha (I cannot deny it because I am human too,if I were there I would have looked) anyway, apart from funny anecdotes, both, the orchestra and the singers make this a really amazing performance!

Dommage que l'on ne puisse comprendre les paroles - et je suis francophone. J'aime beaucoup Mme Kozena et je suis un admirateur de maestro Rattle mais cet enregistrement en concert ne passera pas à la postérité...

Elle était beaucoup plus jeune, brune et très belle - mais c'est vrai qu'elle est encore plus belle en blonde, et plus mûre.
Dans Orphée son français était parfait - mais elle était alors avec le baryton Vincent Le Texier, qu'elle a planté pour Rattle.

She's good in baroque music but this is just to big for her tiny voice. Orchestra the best as always.

not a good part for Magdalena Kozena, it just does not work with her voice
goodness... neither the voice nor temperament, nor stylishness for Carmen.
Kozena is a strange singer. For a mezzo her lower register is weak, her top notes are sharp - I don´t really where her career is supposed to go.
Lol she's having a great career performing repertoire from Monteverdi to contemporary music, now even got a jazz album. She's doing very well, don't worry.
There is kind of mezzo called lazzy soprano lol but I think she's a leggero mezzosoprano so She might cover both register soon
