May, 1st 2015. Amazing. European day of music, Athens, ("Megaron" concert hall).I was there. Apart from the Berliners & sir S.Rattle, we also enjoyed L. Kavakos playing the Sibelius violin conc.and at the 2nd part a symphony by R.Schumann.

mi sono emozionato e per la musica e per la straordinaria interpretazione dell orchestra.
I was hoping they would include the horn section solo at the beginning, but this was fantastic too!

هذه الموسيقى من اوبرا ألفها روسيني عن الملكة البابلية سميراميس كانت زوجته المغنية كولبران تلعب دور الملكة في اول عرض في مدينة البندقية وكانت هذه اخر مرة تصعد المسرح فيها

Not impressed. Beginning and ending cut off and a major horn gaffe at 1:27.
First off, it's a preview video. Don't know why you expect to receive a full performance on RUclips. Secondly, I hardly hear any "gaffe." Maybe the articulations weren't pleasing personally to you?

@@JDeffenb The second horn player completely missed the lick. I suspect I may have done that, too, in my career, but I'm certainly not Berlin-level.
@@brownie3454 You're one of those who think that the Berlin Phil is the be-all and end-all of orchestras, evidently. I hate to break it to you, but some of the worst recordings I have ever heard have been by the Berlin Phil.
The timpani were painfully loud, and the clarinets were slightly out of tune. It's a "no" from me.
