Sure wish someone would do a 2018 Q5 Quattro 2.0t..... the pan, drain and fill port look nothing like this. I found what I think is the drain but could not say 100% for sure I could find the fill port. The pan is a high impact type plastic with a drain down low on the side.
After drain/fill sequences you start vehicle and run through gears....you don't say but assume you are replacing the fill plug each time you are doing this? Or are you leaving open with fill hose still inserted.
Good info. Thanks! I think he is leaving the fill plug open and the hose in there. I don't see any reason to put the fill plug back in until of course you finish the last fill. Note if going by the book so to speak, you may need let the vehicle warm up to a given temp before putting the fill plug in for the final time. The warm up will cause some extra fluid to run out as the fluid heats up. Does a professional transmission shop do that, no idea if they say not needed, or needed.
When do we have to change the transmission filter?
Good informative video.
