@troncat, I like many have recreated this build in hopes to fly it as you do. Earlier today when I finished it, I forgot to reverse the motors but after I did, I was excited to see it fly. My 2nd complete build and I owe you. I used everything similar except the AIO. I went with a JHEMCU F405 40a AIO. Besides that, everything else is the same.
Using the UAV Tech preset, my motors seem to be VERY hot but that could also be because I’m using CNHL 1300mah 6s batteries and I’m learning that those big boys are hunkers compared to similar 6s batteries. I’ll turn down the tune and see how that works out.
Thanks again for the comprehensive build tutorial!

    • @TRONCATFPV

Awesome! I have the JHEMCU F405 on one of my other cinewhoops and it works great.
Yea that 1300mah may be a little much for it. I'm actually going to have a battery testing video coming out soon where I test a couple different 6s LiPo's. Mainly 550mah - 850mah.
GNB has some awesome sized 6S LiPos that work great with this build.

Ohhh man, thanks for video and time spent. I really didn't understand "air-mode" till now. All of my 65 and 75 size quads get the throttle scaled to 70-80% and throttle expo at 0.50-0.60 range (I like center stick activity for throttle). PID tune is unchanged.
My Flex25 works great with my throttle tweaks mentioned above, with PID tune stock. BUT moving slow indoors!!! No way! She is a heavy girl and sensitive sticks led to ceiling "stickage" and "droppage" to the floor, 😂! Thank goodness it happened twice on the first pack and nothing broke. I got better when I dropped the 🎥 angle. Next will be the five bladed props, lower camera angle, airmode off, and your rates.

I actually want to follow these steps to build this quad (my first build) and get into real-estate fly-throughs in my country.
Given this video is a year old. I want to ask you for some updated pointers:
1 - Can I use "Dji 03 Air Unit" instead of the "RunCam Link Falcon Nano Kit" or "Caddx Polar Nano Vista"?
2 - The motors you used are no longer available. which motors would you use today?
3 - The only iFlight FC I could find on their site is "BLITZ Whoop F7 AIO". will it do?
4 - Would you upgrade the battery, or is it still the best option even today for this build?
Thank you so much for your amazing videos!!
    You're a big inspiration!!

So, as far as you have tested both of them into a cinewhoop, which one do you prefer more?. Would you change the ones into Pavo25 to the Betafpv?. I am building a Pavo25 with the F722 35A AIO Brushless Flight Controller instead of the iFlight (Beast) you are using in yours. Rest of component will be the same. Hi, the parts are difficult to get for this. If I were to use the new Speedybee F7 AIO and look for some other motors with a similar size and KV do you think I’d be able to achieve similar results?
I don’t tune quads as no experience with that. I just want it for slow flying indoors like yours.
What I want is an indoor drone, ideally with O3 as that’s what I always fly but be able to hold a GoPro Mini 11 and ideally around 8-10 mins flight time.

If you offer it please let me know. I’m having a lot of issues as far as getting by Drone to come off the ground. I built similar setup just inspired by this video. It's a clever idea the use of a 6s battery with this setup. I think he is using the tiny 1303.5 motors with 2500kw just because of a weight question. They are just 6,5gr. The logic alternative to this setup would have been using a motor with around 1600-1800kv. No more of that as far as you have to multiply by 6 the kw because of the 6s battery. Problem is that those other lower kw motors are around 16,3gr each one. That is more than 40gr of extra weight to your 2.5" drone!!!. A lot!!. So I think he used the tiny 1303.5 to reduce the weight and increase around 2 and a half minutes flight time. Only problem here is overheat problem into those tiny motors... All have a price!!. Move to those little tiny motors was clever and out of the book. Kindly, other users of this setup could tell us about the overheat problem. At last I had to move to a BetaFPV low kw and 15gr motors. Maybe someone have found a solution for the heat problem!!. I would love to hear!

2)when I fly, I can see every small move i make on the sticks on the feed and that makes it very Jerky. How do you do it so smoothly ? Any tips ?
    3) my cinelog 25 is designed to ARM when its on STAB mode. It sounds smooth when I ARM it. But the moment I flick to acro mode, it sounds very erratic. Wondering if thats normal.
    4) I am unable to see my flight time on the goggles. I do see an entry with the time at 00:00. But it doesn't start counting up. And I dont see any stats when I disarm. How do I get it ?
    5) I took it outdoors near a river one day and the feed was so pixellated even when the quad was just 10 feet from me. I thought a crossfire would have great range. Any tips there ? ( I tied the wire that goes from the camera with a metal wire tie. Wondering if that would cause a problem)
    6) what are the benefits of ACRO mode over HOR mode when flying indoors ? I find the HOR mode to be very smooth. Do all indoor pilots fly in Acro mode ?
    Thanks again !

      1) These rates should work fine on a cinelog. The only thing I can't vouch for is the PID adjustments/cinewhoop preset
      2) Best tip for this is trying out the rates that are in this video 👍
      3) This i'm not sure about. I'm not completely familiar with how GEPRC has setup the Cinelog25 from the factory. Feel free to send me a video of this issue to contact.troncatfpv@gmail.com
      4) Are you flying digital or analog? unfortunately with digital as far as I know, the flight time OSD feature doesn't work
      5) Crossfire should be fine, it sounds like you have an issue with the video transmission. I would definitely remove the metal wire tie and replace with a cheap plastic one to see if this resolves the issue. Things like this can actually interfere with the signal.
      6) I prefer acro because it makes the video alot more fluid. When in angle or horizon the drone will always be trying to level itself out and this can interfere with the overall fluidity in a video like this.
      Hope this helps 👌

This may sound like a very dumb question, but the way your props are on your drone it should not fly if your motor direction is pulling in (motor 2 and three counter clockwise, motor 1 and 4 clockwise). I listen to you set the motors several times and you said they were going in the reverse of what I stated above so you reversed all of them to make it "normal" .. But your props in video do not indicate that.. Or have I missed something..... Your input would be so helpful, I suspect it is me as this is only my 3rd drone build. Thanks love your videos. PS i got my drone to fly great but my props are opposite of yours.... Confused :)

I'm such a noob. Literally (24hrs) researching fpv drones. When you said that you'd share your rates, I thought you meant what you charged customers for the service. What do you charge? Your videos are super helpful. I'm in construction and love to build things. I'm looking forward to building my first fpv drone from scratch. Any video suggestions for a beginner to understand what the parts are and their purpose? I.e. what each board controlls/can control on the drone? I'm assuming a drone is similar to building a computer so you have to have compatible parts as far as like the ESL R you were talking about and the other formats. So things like that to look out for thank you in advance for any guidance you provide. keep up the good work

    • @TRONCATFPV
      @TRONCATFPV  Год назад +1

Haha no worries, yes most of the time "rates" when mentioned in the FPV community refer to a way the drone is tuned. I can definitely see the mix up. What I charge on projects like this really varies on the properties size and what type of service the real estate agent wants. We offer a number of different services and add-ons so the price will vary per-project.
I have an "FPV drones explained" video that will probably help ya understand the ins and outs of an FPV drone and will help you with some terminology: ruclips.net/video/7EyMOaItNzY/видео.html

@@TRONCATFPV Ducts being separate was exactly the reason I got the Cinelog25. Much easier to swap if one breaks?

    • @TRONCATFPV
      @TRONCATFPV  2 года назад +3

The pavo25 is a HUGE upgrade from the beta95x.
As far as the ducts go, for me, working on the cinelog25 was never as easy as I would have hoped. Once the ducts were off the motors tend to flop all over the place and getting in the way making repairs kind of difficult. On the Pavo25 though, the duct is its own standalone piece and isnt even attached to the motors, it makes repairs much easier. Also when you think about it, the ducts on the cinelog require 16 screws to remove while the pavo is 6.
When comparing durability, I feel the pavo takes the cake. It is nice that the ducts are individual on the cinelog because they are thinner and will break easily in a crash. the pavo duct is pretty thick and since its one piece it feels much more sturdy and durable.
Where the cinelog takes the cake is with the camera dampening. I really don't know why betafpv eliminated that on the pavo25 design.
