Austin Davis is my new favorite drummer! TYAYW has been my most challenging song playing in a worship band. It has definitely brought me to a new level of drumming by learning and covering that song in church and has helped me play other songs a lot better, too. I learned to play a faster foot and a left hand with better technique because of it. And I love the fact that Davis is real about his playing. LOVE this video! Thank you for sharing!

I really appreciate the openness and humility about the coming together for Take You at Your Word. I always try to stay as close to the original part with worship songs bc I feel if you as the artist put a ton of time into making the parts why reinvent the wheel?this one is a challenge and I appreciate hearing from you that it was for you too

Take you at your word is the song that made me a huge fan! I’m so glad with every decision you made on that song. My church loves it as a hype song and every time I play it, I don’t change anything from your version because you absolutely nailed it. (I feel the same way about plead the blood which we’ve played the last couple weeks, another killer drum part)

This whole time I did not know he took his foot off when the snare hit on that bridge build. I mean it almost sounds the same as just hitting the kick in every note but it does have different feel to it
