      In song's post production during mixing process they use sample replacement for kick and snare

      @@jamesstewart5859 When this is done they usually mix the sample with the original. Not sure if elevation does it though but a lot of modern music does.

    1 ms attack on top snare - "looking for slow attack"
    1 ms attack on bot snare - "wanna take away transients"
    I get that it's diff type of gear but kind of funny anyway

    What he meant to say... Flip the polarity of the signal to avoid a shift in time which creates phase.

      “Flip the phase” means the same thing. No need for correction. It’s called a phase switch on some consoles.

      Yes obviously.. you can hear the rim popping with the head..

      Maaaan! That’s the secret weapon that he didn’t want to show. At least that’s what I’m thinking because we all know Elevations snare is a lot fatter than what we just heard in this clip.
      It’s in his signal chain so I’m sure he does use it

      @@Exocal15 I've watched their drum tuning video a while ago and their drummer states they like to tune the snare higher. That always struck me funny because they have that deep sound. It makes more sense now.

      @@weeschwee yes sir! I tighten my church’s snare drum pretty tight too and then use torque to detune it. Sounds great!

      Not a fan. It deadens the drum too much, in my opinion!

      I've seen drummer have two snares and use one with a big fat snare as an fx snare and the other as their main.

      @@andyxprophet I think it depends on which one you use cause while I agree the original one overdoes it, their The Shining model has been perfect cause it’s a bit thinner and not so intense

    generic stuff
