its not the amount of chords you play, its the music you make. its the message you get across. its the feeling people get when they listen to your music. if your successful in those categories..nothing else matters.
Saw these guys on tour several times... never disappointed. I wish I'd realized that when I saw 'em in '96 it would be the very last time - a little show at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas, best show I ever saw them do. R.I.P. Joey, Johnny, DD.
I was there. it was hot as hell. It got to 117 degrees, and they all came out in leather jackets. they were second up, when they should have been headlining. almost all the bands that played that day were influenced by the Ramones. The last band to play that night was the Police. It was an incredible line-up that day. And it was hot as fucking hell.
@ThePaulollerenshaw me too - in like 77 in a little bar - & remember it much more that other groups in big concert halls - the Ramones were one with the audience that night - the crowd was ecstatic!!!!!!!!!!!
@kidgodless This is the US Festival in San Bernadino, California in 1983. I was there, and it was one of the rare times the Ramones ever played in daylight.
look how FUCKING cool Johnny Ramone looks at 1:17. guitar slung low, downpicking away, wind blowing through his hair. no pretense, no bullshit, just. bad. as. FUCK.
dude its not about how many chords you play. its about the impact your music has on the world. metallica..great band. ramones... great band. the ramones werent out to show off . theyre intent was to have fun. if you look at metallica now alot of theyre fans have abandoned them. the ramones are adored by their fans. again no beef to metallica . metallica have some of the best albums in history but the ramones are legends and wrote some of the best and well known songs ever
@roygump You may not like the music but inventing a new style of music and inspiring millons of kids to play punk rock or any kind of rock is something that i bet no bands could do now
@SodaPopDumb Search on "Ramones San Francisco Civic" on you tube to see and hear what they sounded like at a free concert for fans in their hey day. Much better.
@goldphishez Ramones weren't really popular in amreica, though they were inspirational they couldn't get any love from america, everywhere else they were legends ironically
1. put ur hands on ur chest. 2. then say the name of he or she u love. 3.then put ur hads on ur nose and do the same 4put this on 4 songs a and then he/she u love will say i love u or ask u out. 18 hours ago
