I was there. it was hot as hell. It got to 117 degrees, and they all came out in leather jackets. they were second up, when they should have been headlining. almost all the bands that played that day were influenced by the Ramones. The last band to play that night was the Police. It was an incredible line-up that day. And it was hot as fucking hell.

Why is so many people hating on Green Day? Sure, Ramones is the best punk band in the world and then comes The Clash, Sex pistols and stuff but Green Day is good in my oppinion! Ramones and Green Day is my favourite band! I admit, their new stuf isn't as good as the old stuff and not as punk but c'mon guys, why hate on them? They're good! Go hate on someone that deserves the hate. JustinBieber and 1D. They ruined Music, Green Day play music that alot of people like and a few don't like, so STFU!

Stalker much? I mostly listen to Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, The Beatels, David Bowie, Jimmy Eat World and The White Stripes. And I haven't turned on a radio in at least a year. I also don't think Green Day is "mindblowingly good", but dookie was a solid album, and American Idiot was a fucking rock opera. No one tries those because they're so damn hard to write. I can tell by your close-minded comments that we're never going to agree, so I'll leave it at that.

Eh, by your profile I can tell you only listen to radio rock, so I'm not surprised you think Green Day are mindblowingly good. Their entire career is based upon rearranging three chords. That American Idiot album was only profound to 13 year old girls.

Green Day gets so much undeserved shit. I'll start by saying Green Day isn't even in my top 20 favorite bands, but they wrote a fucking rock opera, possibly the best one since The Who. You have no idea (nor do I, for that matter) how hard it is to write a rock opera. But I do know how hard it is just to write a song, and to write a goddamn rock opera is impressive. So whether you like them or not, they've done something few bands have attempted, and they pulled it off brilliantly.

To bad no one appreciated these guys when they were still around...

Green Days fan base are all teenie bopper girls now. Maybe in the 90s when GD still had some punk rock roots, but they're horrible MTV filtered mid-tempo generic radio rock shit now.

Pretty intense. Mind you, I'm only 14 so that may be the cause. \my friend went to see The Casualties and nearly got trampled if it wern't for some of the bigger guy to deflect blows. The moshers in Winnipeg arn't as bad, they're pretty couterious when it comes to that stuff. Two rules when it come to moshing: 1-Keep your elbows up and 2-If someone falls down, pick em' up really fast! :D What show are you planning onn seeing?
