add is the older name for adhd. in the dsmv, they changed it from two separate things to one diagnosis with subsets, so people don’t get diagnosed with add anymore. you can get diagnosed with primarily inattentive adhd (formerly called add), primarily hyperactive-impulsive adhd, or combined adhd
