I'm a big Country fan most my life, and I hate Rap. However there is something about Ren that I haven't been able to stop listening to him the last couple of months. He is an amazing artist.
It's the way he bends and blends genres seamlessly. He's just brilliant ♡
maybe because his lyrics are meaningfull and authentic and do not relate about pussies and fast cars which is indeed very refreshing
@sabijea I just assume that anyone who listens appreciates the lyrics, lol. It's a little more difficult to break down why you might like the music, though, if you don't normally tend to like rap.

I’m an old lady and REN has definitely drawn me out of my comfort zone. ❤ but I can not stop watching all of his videos and reviews of him.
If you ever see this you would probably really like Tom MacDonald and his incredible girlfriend Nova Rockafeller. You really should listen to Dear Nova and then her scared of heights album, it's absolutely incredible. Also her song Lost Girls is another incredible one that explains what a LOT of the younger generations are struggling through. You would really enjoy them. Nova also makes all their videos, films them plans them out their overall looks and edits everything together. She's exceptionally talented. She's not a modern day professional ass shaker. ☠️🤡☠️🤦♀️🙅🤷♀️🤣

I initially thought the PIG represented big pharma, then I thought the music industry and then I thought the government. I then assumed it was all three. But I’ve now come to the conclusion that the pig is in all of us (human kind). Ren is always preaching about how we’ve been given so much, but inspire of it, we want more. We’re never satisfied, so we consume everything and at some point, there’ll be nothing left. #Renmakesmusic

11:51 I've actually had this experience before, it took me 3 years of bouncing from specialist to specialist in order to get my autoimmune illness correctly diagnosed. I experienced it again about a year later when I was having some very intense joint pain in my hips that wouldn't go away, I got all of the typical scans done and the doctors couldn't find an explanation for why I was in soo much pain.
It wasn't until I got a specialized scan called a Hip Arthrogram, they stick a long needle directly into the space between your bones in your hip socket and inject dye under x-ray.
That's how I got my diagnosis of femoral-acetibular impingement and I ended up having surgery on both hips (6 months apart from each other, a year total recovery time, I was 19yo at the time).
Similar process played out with my ankles, ended up having surgery on my left ankle a year after that, 3 joint surgeries before I turned 21yo. I've been through a lot of shit over the years lol.

Kid broke me lol , not his fault but made more sense about a subject then any doctor or therapist ever did . Hard core musical therapy imo on some of his stuff . I am 58 years old and I am in awe of Ren!! I can't get enough! The animal masks, I believe, is a reference to Animal Farm by George Orwell. I could be wrong though.
Support him and buy his Sick Boi download and cd album. I'm very glad I got to be one of his first fans and help get him to Number 1 in the UK and 52 on USA top 100 debuted! He said he will remember them fans that help get him to the spot he is in now and going! I bought it 4 months ago and didnt get until October. . But it was and is well worth it guys! This is coming from a 49 year old guy. And your buddy said it right that when your older you have seen and heard so many genres of music over the years! When your ears hear something that hasn't got you excited since the 80s your in like Flinn lol!

Ren has said in the interview he did with Knox Hill that he won't tell exactly what the meaning of the pig mask means to him as he wants people to have their own interpretation. For me it represents the doctors butchering him physically and mentally over the years with misdiagnosis the way a butcher would carve up a pig carcass

People think Ren is referring to himself with the name Sick Boi, but it's actually the name that Ren gave the pig character. As for the significance, he said he prefers to leave it left to interpretation. Also, Suicide "live acoustic" version is in a few days, followed by the song Murderer in July and then Money Game Part 3 video, which he just filmed yesterday.

Ren said in his Black Pegasus interview he wants to keep the pig symbolism close to the vest for now and leave it open for each his own personal interpretation. I wanted to say it might have initially been a nod to “Saw” since some of his vids have a dark ominous vibe (and themes from the movie), but learning more about Ren and his penchant for literature and history, I feel like “Lord of the Flies” is the more likely inspiration. But also I could totally see it having been started as something benign and random, like they came across it costume shopping, and it took on layers of meaning going forward.

Yeah he was told that all of his symptoms were in his head. Told that white noise and meditation would fix him, when it was really Lyme disease.
The pig mask he doesn’t explain,my thought is that it represents the greed and callousness of our culture of be it the industries,medical, or even us because we participate. He uses it ,it seems as the oppressor. Haiku is composed of only 3 lines, first line of Haiku has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the third has 5 syllables. Train Spotting (not trans spotting )- hanging around watching trains. The film is about bored kids who become junkies and the perils of that world in England in the late 70s 80 s

I do have one comment/suggestion - the last couple of reactions of yours that I've watched, the music video has been slightly out of sync with the soundtrack, and it makes it uncomfortable to watch. There are many speculations on what the pig mask represents, but Ren stated in a recent interview that he’s not ready to reveal the significance yet and rather it be open to interpretation.

Ren has some kinda magic I haven’t encountered from new musicians in a decades. There are lots of skilled artists out there but Ren’s relatable. Like, he’s just an average person who’s been through tough times, but he also happens to be an artistic genius.
He’s like the nerdy kid in high school who stood out from the crowd but then managed to be way cooler and shine brighter than everyone. You want to root for people like that!
I think the pig goes back to Animal Farm.
To me, and this is only my thought, the pig head is a representation of slaughter. I believe when you see the pig wheeling him in in the wheelchair in Hi- Ren and then chopping up meat in Animal, it’s a representation of Ren showing that we are always really and metaphorically in the slaughter of societies rules. Just like he is always in a battle with people who actually know what they’re doing or people that just want to medicate the problem because they’re lazy and checked out. You are always the pig being brought to slaughter. As I said before even the pig in animal flow was a butcher of humans. One was chopping up uncle Ed in the kitchen while getting ready for the one tied up by the other pig in the room with Ren at the beginning.

Just taking a guess on the pig mask, but he had mentioned in his song the phrase "like pigs being lead to the slaughter." The phrase depicts us as the pigs and the pigs as those in higher authority than us. in the case of this video, the therapist is the person in higher authority because we go to a therapist seeking help only to be given pills and told this will cure everything. We do as they say without any regards to the consequences that arise from following someone. I can’t remember what song this was in, but i know Its not this song that he mentions it, but I do remember that quote. Though in that song he was referencing polititions.. I think this was mentioned in the song "hate your culture." btw, that song gives me Rage Against the machine vibes if you haven’t heard it.
